  • I test ride the 2023 Suzuki SV650 naked sportbike motorcycle and ride it through the city and on the highway. I give my first impressions on how it rides and handles. The SV650 has been a crowd favorite for many years now and Suzuki has not strayed far with the newest models.

I ride a new Z900 and Z900RS. Bought a '23 blue SV650. Been riding a long time. If your typical new rider doesn't like this bike, then he doesn't get what riding's all about, Handles great, sounds great, goes great. Is great. Most newbies worry about all the techno BS. It's mostly about the dude behind the handlebars and this little bike delivers. Glad I have one.

You’re a wise man, an SV650 is all us mere mortals need.

I picked up a 2022 SV650 today and fully agree with your throttle analysis. My first naked bike so wind force was a slight surprise. Easy handling with great power delivery makes it an commute through traffic ❤

Fuel efficiency is supreme, handling, engine, the throttle needs a steady smooth hand but despite being a bit jerky is of the best in the category, very smooth riding despite being a V, even smoother than the MT07 or other rivals.

Like any bike you never ridden before, after riding it everyday most riders know what gear their in without looking

How fast were going (in mph) around 7:11 when you complained about handlebar vibration? I just bought one for commuting to work around 75 to 85 mph. Please let me know.

'Not that tall' when the average male in the US is around 5ft 9in? That's still above average height!

Maybe you are new to SV..I can say this bike totally have much power than Z650 (actually my lil bro have one and I already tested it) and much smoother when speed above 160kmph..hate to say that z650 have so much vibrations ..

I wouldn't consider the SV650 as a bike for new riders: lack of experience controlling the snatchy throttle may end in an unpleasent highside.

The Z650 is way worse to the SV650, the SV650 engine makes it all up.
