    I picked up a 2023 version yesterday. I have not had a bike for two years and the SV is just amazing. Really easy and fun to ride.

      @@AaaSWE Yes, I was surprised how great it was. A legend for a reason.

    I traded my 2019 CB300R for a brand new 2023 SV650 last Spring. I loved my little CB300R, but I love my SV650 a lot more!

    • @bertsbike
      @bertsbike  9 місяців тому

      Heck yeah man! That seems like a natural progression from the CB300R. Congrats!

    Great review! The windscreen is a must if you're going faster than 80 mph. I love mine and in Florida to get anywhere you're hopping on the interstate. You got to keep up with traffic and progress through it to keep safe.

    Probably one of the best reviews on the SV. You should work for one of the major online cycle outfits. Have the exact same bike in blue. Agree about the windscreen. The bars too. Wider would be nice- the only somewhat cheap looking part on the bike. My brother and I just returned from a 1K mile trip on a Z900 and the SV. Went into Oregon on highway 86 to Baker. 75 mi. of canyon twisties and no one out there. Heaven. All in all this bike is special. No complaints. The new 800 is ok, but I prefer the VTwin and the simplicity. I know with a modicum of care, it will last almost forever. Cheers.

      Hey there! Thanks for watching! Appreciate the kind words as well. Maybe I’ll put in my application at Revzilla or something, if they’ll have me that is. Got an in? 😉. But yeah, I’m just a fan of bikes that just downright work. There’s just no arguing with the SV. You and your bro ride safe!!

      On a side note that Oregon ride seems epic.

      Yeah, replace that Daily Rider guy with the beard. Every bike I'm in to, he disparages. You have a better voice anyhow.

    Great review. You answered every question I had about the SV like you took a question sheet from me. Thanks! Have you tried the Honda Hornet 750? Any thoughts how the bikes compare.

      You know I haven't tried the Hornet. I want to. I think it's a rad bike but I absolutely hate the headlight on it. 😂

    I owned a standard SV, and while I loved the performance of the torquey engine and smooth transmission, the seat-to-pegs distance was too tight for 5'11" me; I'd get leg cramps. The stock seat was absolutely terrible - virtually no padding and you keep sliding into the tank - and even with a replacement Sargent Seat, I still couldn't ride for even 1 hour without pain. I had to sell the bike. Maybe the Corbin seat would make a noticeable difference.

    • @bertsbike
      @bertsbike  6 місяців тому +1

      Before this review I rode SV650X a while back and the stock seat wasn't nearly as good as this Corbin.

    • @grandprixjames
      @grandprixjames 4 місяці тому +1

      At 6'2'' I get leg cramps on mine sometimes too with the stock seat. I might have try the corbin seat on my 2017 sv650. Are there any other solutions for that?

    • @bertsbike
      @bertsbike  4 місяці тому

      @@grandprixjames I can say the Corbin is a great. For the leg cramping I have seen some foot pegs lowers that give you about another .5-inch of length. But I would go with a taller seat first before putting in some different pegs. Lot's of guys were doing the longer pegs on the CB1100.

    Just bought one of these, but it’s got Clip ons on, so, I’m changing it to a better pair of handlebars. There are a few changes to make, like longer cables, but I’m getting there. Can’t wait to get out on the Road.
