A wonderful gift for your nephew. I enjoy the fact that if you have many tasks to complete, like putting in a bunch of screws, you show what you are going to do, and not show the same thing fifty-eleven times. The Sapele looks very nice with the oil you used on it.
Great idea for a display of his cars. This could easily become a commercial product. There are many kids out there who would love to have a shelf like this.
That came out amazingly! Awesome idea, excellent execution, and even better result. The led-lights really made it pop. Bet he'll appreciate it forever. And the award for best ever Uncle goes to Matt!
Cool gift Matt🙂 I thought you might have trouble getting glue to stick, it’s because of the French chalk used inside tyres to stop things sticking to the inside like the glue on repair patches.
Great idea. Great video. Great prezzie for the nephew. I did similar a few years ago. Used an old tractor tyre & scaffold boards to make a log store. Keep up the good content! Cheers
@@Badgerworkshop I mean yes...I guess then, from the hook's perspective, my question becomes: why aren't you using it backward when using it with pull saws? Like, it's designed to resist the force of the saw teeth & to support against tearout on the side of the workpiece that the teeth exit, is I guess what I'm getting at.
Always great to make a present that is unique to the recipient. Something I often do. 👍 Also, don’t suppose you have the link for your lighting? I remember you featuring then in a vid.
I can't work out how to word this without it sounding like I think you're doing something wrong, which I'm not! Is a shooting board and a pull saw the right combination? With a western saw you're pushing against the shooting board, but with a pull saw you're pulling against your hand which doesn't seem right?

I'm 52 years old, and still have my dinky / matchbox cars. In the original carry cases. Both full. And hardly played with.
Awesome project.
They can be the retirement fund

Super uncle! Tyres often have a 'talc' dusting on the inside..
Ya' done good, Matt. Clever idea. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done, your nephew will grow up telling stories about his cool uncle!
Haha I hope so
It would be very cool to use one of the nephews old bike tires
Great idea 👍 I might scale this up to a car tyre for my Lego models in my office!
That would look great
Ah good job Matt, maximum uncle points there! 😎⭐
Thank you
Very cool idea! Thanks.
Thank you

Thank you very much
Well done uncle 😊
Thank you
Cool project
Thank you
Matt, you're definitely a cool uncle
I hope so
That's a cool idea, turned out good. A perspex sheet to back the shelves and help the light travel would have been good though
Thanks
Matt's next uncle project. Making storage shelves for all those prime drinks😜. Great edit and unique project. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Hopefully he will grow out of the prime phase
Nice little project Matt, Your nephew is very happy with that toy car display . well done mate
Great gift for the nephew! Love the project. But flat head screws? You must be watching Drew Fisher at Fishers Workshop! Haha
Thank you
That's just brilliant, Matt! Really well done!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

That is really cool for your nephew - I know he’s going to appreciate something like that (especially as none of his mates will have anything like it)
Yes he has been showing it off to his friends
Nice job

Thank you. Yes I should have thought of that

That sounds a great build
Kid loves a Prime!
Yes they do
Nice idea
Thank you
This really is a fantastic idea. I was guessing how you secure the wooden shelves since the tire is round. Your way is much simpler. Good work!
Thank you
I could not show my ten year old the video, due to the amount of prime bottles featured 😂
Great idea Matt especially the LED feature 👍🏻
He does love prime
@@Badgerworkshop may be you should a Matt and Keith version ‘Banter’ chat over a drink 🥃
👍👍👍.Thank you
I'm 60 yo, I still have my original hotwheels cars!
They must be very collectible now
What’s an Unushal?
Quick question: why do you use the bench hook backward with your pull saw?
It’s for western saws

@@joelhollingsworth2374 because that’s not how hooks work. You can’t just turn it around. You need a differently designed hook
You had me at sapele
🚲 Great idea. Based off his response, you definitely gained some uncle points, lol 🚵♂️ . Great job!
Tony 🇺🇸
Thank you. He did seem pleased
Pretty cool gift, Matt! How did you come up with this design, it's awesome!
Thank you. I saw something similar
I wish I was that creative. How did you come up with that idea? It's very good :)
Always great to make a present that is unique to the recipient. Something I often do. 👍

Your Great-Uncle would have been an uncle to either one of your parents! ;)
Haha very true

It's not a shooting board, It's a bench hook. It is for western saw but it works.
next year another wheel, and then the bike frame ...
Lol, recon that tyre might be useless for air 😁
@@dougsaunders8109 as long as the inner tube is not ruptured, it is ok.
Cool video. Drinking all that Prime isn't to good for him though.
