I think a lot of this album was written almost as a concept, if you see the album cover it kind of depicts the Anglo Saxon era that almost feels like they drew from as inspiriation, witchcraft, druids, etc. This was an era where the church governed as a powerhouse and bought fear upon many in plenty of forms, if you read the lyrics as a person in that place of history does it change the aspect of the song a little to you? I may be very wrong on that stance but none the less, the graft that went into the songs on this project still makes it a very underated metal album on par with some other classics.

Damn man. You have a lot to listen to. I would avoid Supercharger, and know in advance that The Burning Red was during the nu-metal phase and sounds different than a lot of their stuff, but has some good songs on it. Everything else is pretty solid in my opinion.
I think the solution to the abortion issue is easy. The science says it's a life - and US has a long standing precedence for justifiable homicide. We just happened to pass into law that abortion is a case of justifiable homicide. If you want to make the argument that it's murder, it is on you to prove motive and make an argument for why you believe it's unjustified. The two things I've never seen a pro-lifer do. I've seen them say that it is unjustified, I have not seen them argue why they believe so though. The argument that we rip them limb from limb is an argument of the methodology, but not whether or not the action under a different method would be humane or not.
I think the person who made this lyric video slowed it down to avoid copyright. Still badass, but give the official one from MH a listen on your own time.
Guitar Chugs I’d really want to see them do “Scream of the Butterfly” , because it’s probably my favorite song of theirs and because id like to see their interpretation of songs subject matter. But I wouldn’t be opposed to any other Acid Bath Song. “Dr Seuss is dead”, “Finger Paintings of the Insane”, “Tranquilized”, “Paegan Love Song”, “Jezebel” (Sori seemed interested in the title on the last reaction) are other great songs besides the ones you mentioned, but you can’t go wrong with any Acid Bath song.
Best album of the 2000s. “Aesthetics of Hate” from the same album is more angry - about a writer who slagged off Dimebag after his death. You want to hear Machine Head angry at Trump-era politics? Check out “Bastards”. It practically broke up the band and alienated a lot of their fan base (which is funny, given MH has always been anti-establishment, like most rock/metal acts). I believe this song is about the current push to get laws passed that bring religion into politics and allow people to discriminate based on their religion. That's what I seen this as being about. Which y'all picked up on. They have another song on this album that is about a blog post by a Christian that celebrated the death of Dimebag Daryl, and how angry it made them to read it. It's called Aesthetics of Hate. I also believe in secularism, as being the position of least imposition on others. These kind of topics are a precarious tightrope, attempting to balance the rights of individuals against each other. The current situation with the national lockdown and the problems that is causing is another example. The balance of protecting individuals from the actions of others and the danger to others they may pose, vs the curtailing of freedoms of individuals in order to affect that protection. Unfortunately people can be selfish and hypocritical, putting themselves before others, and thinking their personal self trumps other's. (My personal take is that hypocrisy is the true root of evil. As all bad acts have a core of hypocrisy, but I am also unsure if it is possible even theoretically to be truly free of hypocrisy.)
