I'm so glad someone is logically talking about the issues with electric cars and why it makes no sense. We don't have enough electricity to avoid blackouts when summer is summery, but we still push electricity cars.

I work in west texas, there is something like 5500+ drilling rigs currently active and countless fracking well’s going, we produce a stupid amount of oil but we just sell it all and deplete our reserves all while our prices are sky rocketing

In Cali we’re about 60 percent on clean energy . The rest is mostly natural gas not coal. We need to start building 6th gen nuclear plants till the figure out fission. Their is no 6th generation nuclear plant. Yall didn't solve any of the issues with 3rd ,4th and 5th generation. Fuck in fact we still have millions of barrels of nuclear waste buried though out the country.

Some cars already have a speed limit warning system. It's tied to the navigation system but the driver can turn it off.
The reason the US keeps buying from OPEC is because if the US burns up all of its oil reserves it's now at the mercy of OPEC. The US would rather dry up OPEC and now OPEC is at the mercy of everyone else with oil reserves.
The reason for going so heavy on electric cars is because the source of said electricity is singular. One per plant can provide electricity to thousands, hundreds of thousands of homes and EVs. Single power plants are easier to regulate than millions of individual ICE cars. The gov can force power plants to produce cleaner emissions over time. The gov ain't got no time to chase down every ICE car to regulate its emissions.

Gas is way efficient. Bmw recently invests in hydrogen vs electric. Most of Europe is continuously working on sustainable fuel. Only stupid America wants to keep pushing electric. Instead of investing in the future, we as a country rn always need to a demand for us to to put money into anything. Thats why Tesla enabled the push for mass produced electric cars and we are having to catch up with the infrustructure to make it possible. Europe been investing in renewable energy and efuel way before forcing companies to develope and innovate. All race cars in WEC run on efuels. They are dedicated to pushing towards the future while we lag behind. We are such a capitalist country that if we dont see profit associated to something even if its for the better of mankind we wont do it.

In GA we have 2 nuclear facilities, but also we dont have a local gov pushing for all electric since its just not viable yet. But yes it takes about 8 years of a gasoline vehicle to burn off the cost production of a electric vehicle battery that part sucks.
