      Isn't it so easy to judge without being on the ground? Yes things went south, but lets dissect the situation. The perp is driving county to county going triple digits, ground units are scrambling last minute to pursue. Multiple departments are trying to work with one another without prior planning. Lack of communication between responding officers. Adrenaline pumping and out comes a suspect full sprint with a tactical vest on. For all they know, another woman could've been part of the kidnapping. Also, possibly a bomb strapped to the vest? I guarantee none of the patrol officers that day were trained in hostage rescue. But mistakes were made. Poor communication between responding officers and multiple departments. The officer calling out to the victim to sprint towards him without radioing in his intentions. Lack of trigger discipline and so on. It's a shitty situation overall but not everything is black and white.

    So was she wearing gear or not? Also, where were the officers positioned compared to the one calling the girl over. The way lay out looks there was a lot of obstacles in the way if you are in the back.
    If the officer calling the girl over did not inform the rest of the officers in the back, then this is possibly the cause.
    Now what is the thinking on this?
    One the reports can say that the girl was abducted while on the search for them, but infact she could have been a willing accomplice to the murder of the mother.

    As tragic as this is, esp. considering that some of it could have been possibly prevented if not for a lack of communication, it is wrong to issue a blanket statement regarding "all cops". Not all cops are bad, nor incompetent. Many cops do a good job and help people, however their efforts aren't the ones highlighted on the news. Only those involved when something goes wrong get the most attention.
    In our area we recently had two cops gunned down in an ambush when they went to a suspect's house, after the suspect took off when they tried to pull him over for a traffic stop. They didn't know that the guy was on drugs and armed when they showed up to his house.
    There was another recent incident where an officer was killed when a suspect pulled off the heavy chain he was wearing, beat the officer with it, then strangled him with it. The suspect and his gf had been being escorted out of a casino for causing a disturbance and the officer was assisting security to remove them from the premises.
    And a couple/few years ago another officer was killed in an ambush while he and his partner were on a stakeout, trying to investigate 2 homicides.
    Most memorable was from Christmas Eve 2012 in West Webster, NY. A guy had killed his sister, then set his house on fire to cover it up. When the fire fighters showed up to try to put out the fire and save the neighborhood, the guy ambushed them and shot and killed 2 of the first responders, one of which was a police officer as well as a fire fighter, the other was a fire fighter that was just 19 yrs old. The police arrived on scene to help the other first responders who were injured and get them to safety. They also helped evacuate the residents in the nearby houses because the fire crews couldn't put out the original house fire till the scene was secured. The cops eventually tracked down the suspect and brought the tragedy to an end. Yet the ripple effects of what happened are still felt to this day.
    May all the families, friends, neighbors, and colleagues find the comfort and strength they need to get through the days, months and years ahead without their loved ones. And may all those lost R.I.P.

      @Vincisomething 5 місяців тому

      @@RVFFICA The problem isn't individual bad cops, it's the entire system. It's the blue veil. There is an entire history of police corruption, incompetence, and brutality. ACAB isn't literal, it's actually about the entire system needing changes and understanding that every cop, good or bad, is more or less subjected to it. You also hear stories of how the good cops don't have much power. I remember a jk video where a cop in training was allegedly killed during a training exercise to prevent him from "snitching" on some other cops.
      Sure, there are ACAB people that hate literally every cop, but the point is bad apples spoil the bunch. Remember all the times you hear of a cop getting a slap on the wrist for killing someone for no reason and how it was a big deal when the cop who killed George Floyd got sentenced? Also, if you know the history of police in America, it'd make more sense why the system needs a little makeover. Even in this video, they're talking about how low the training standards are.
