Any topic can be funny but not all jokes are funny. The problem is that when a joke doesn't land comedians will blame "wokeness" when in reality they just aren't funny.
I can't remember the context, but someone set me up at a party and the punchline to the joke I made was "that's why America had to do it twice"..... collective gasp at the party. Still makes me chuckle to this day when I think about it
It's different to joke about it (you can joke about anything but it takes enough talent to make it palatable and funny to everyone at any time) but "men can't be SAed" or "women can't be predators" is sadly things a lot of boys still believe (probably Adin Ross or Sneako fans). They don't realize a lot of them end up having weird relationship with women or end up misogynists. It's like the 17 year old Drake kissed on stage and she was like "it wasn't anything then and it's nothing now." Girl, your lawyering better be better than your thinking and logic because what lmao*. Or when high school girls brags about their past high school boyfriends because "they're mature for their age". Also, Iove when people try to use "age of consent" as a defense. Like I said before, you can probably still make a joke about it of you're good enough (I'm sure they exist) but that's different from un ironically believing "men can't be victims, women can't be predators"
You sound like you went off on a major tangent and started ranting about age of consent. Does it strike home? I actually heard Joe Rogan playing Devils advocate to the notion of why most think 18 is some sort of magic number. If you threw away the age of consent in different states and made it 18 across the board, it may satisfy you now legally. But it can still be argued with morals and ethics. Because a girl who is 16 or 17 is mentally and physically the same as a girl who is 18. So you’re technically attracted to a 16 year old girl who is just now 18. Her brain is not even fully developed till she’s 25. So is the age of consent of different states really a moral, ethical, or legal issue in order for you to feel satisfied.
I really appreciate how you guys joke about the absurdities of life. And how even during the darkest, perhaps saddest stories, you can find a way to break the tension and bring a laugh. It is kind of like when people are giving a eulogy at a funeral and tell a funny story about the deceased to bring laughter through the tears. That is why my dad would say "you can't spell funeral without FUN". Edit: I appreciate the trolling and dedication to the bits, as well. And how Ryan asks questions in a way to see how far he can push it, and to see just what random things the guys and esp. Joe might say. 😂 Thanks, guys for being you.
Don't look now, yet your eyes are unnecessarily rolling into the back of your head. It has nothing to do with being a "conservative" or not. It has to do with being a parent, noticing the changes in music through the years and remarking on it. I noticed a change in comedy, where for example: when Dean Martin had his "Celebrity Roasts" they were able to be funny without resorting to swearing.....fast forward 15-20 years and you had comedians like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle dropping f'bombs with almost every joke. It is called making an observation, not "complaining".
@bethnichols2875 Beth, he's actually joking. He's a true rider and a member of the discord, so he has the exact humor the guys do. We all love him, he's JUST KIDDING LOL see what I did there?
lmao... i died on the first minute joe started mansplaining. the thing is comedians just need to have common sense. when you have that you wont be joking about nanking in cn or 9/11 in nyc .
They have said before that JK pays for JK, and Junbi pays for Junbi. They don't use one business to pay for the other. It is like how Steve's channel got demonetized so he stopped posting on his channel, even with how much money he has now.
Unit 731 too. Hella fucked up shit that was never officially apologized for. Well they could've, but there are political reasons why they choose no to formally apologize and punish those that were responsible, which they had full control over.
The funniest thing to me is Ryan asking like 6 different “Can you make fun of…?” questions 🤣🤣 RYAN IS WILD! 🤣
I spit my drink out 17:00. 😂😂😂

Ryan was really holding back the kabob joke.
Idk if ppl realize but its millenials that started the comedic sensitivity. Gen z are the ones who circled it back
