Love the steel shafted 975D. Classic.
Bought one last week on ebay for the memories, it has performed decent on the course so far. Head tiny compared to my modern Ping, but produces a great controlled flight
Best driver ever made 👌
@@barry5138 why?
@@hosoiarchives4858 name a driver that has been used to win majors over a 5 year period. Classic looks, unbelievable accuracy and control. Just a work of art in my opinion
@@barry5138 all good, just curious on your thoughts
Wow never seen footage of Tiger 4-putting before
That steve Williams close up lol
331m (362 yds) with 43.5" steel shafted driver and ball combination that flew about 30 yards shorter than todays modern equipment. I hope there was a strong tail wind there!!!
Nah. I don't think equipment does much. He's carrying it only 290 yards now
That wind was intense
Has more than 100 days per year with winds gusting over 35mph, the region this golf course is in.
at his best hed still dominate even with the field of today, if only his back could support that much power
His back could support the power he was just swinging it wrong
He must love welly after this
He's so good he can play using meters too!!!
he's using yards...
They’re the same practically lol
Butch Harmon steeped Tigers swing, leading to the destruction of Tigers left knee.
Tigers best golf swing was in 2000. Has there ever been a more dominant golfer than Tiger in 2000 US Open. All five levers working in a common plane.. the SLOT. As close as Tiger ever got to Ben Hogans swing, ruined by Butch et al.
Wrong, he was more dominant with Haney with a greater win rate.
@@MrDylanRecords Referring to his golf swing, not how well he scored. When Harmon, Haney et al, steepened Tigers golf swing, the left knee and lower back problems were the result. Despite life threatening injury from the car crash, Ben Hogan continued to play competitively into his 50's. His flat golf swing didnt contribute to his injuries.
@@dtgps Steep where exactly? Tiger was flatter at the top with Haney and continued to draw from Hogan during those years? His left knee was damaged in kill house exercises with Navy seals, probably not helped by the snapping of the knee in his swing but he'd been doing that since junior golf. Also, didn't Harmon help build the 2000 swing?
@@MrDylanRecords Haney pretended to know and understand Hogans golf swing..
IMO, Haney misunderstood Ben Hogan's swing, which explains why virtually no one swung like Hogan.
Its about the geometry not swing plane. Draw the lines at top of BS for Hogan, left arm extended to the ground 3-4 ft in front of the ball. Tiger in 2000 did the same, then gradually Harmon and Haney steepened that angle, to extent that Tigers golf swing became a Hit with his arms and hands, rather than a rotation of torso squaring the clubface, with a Sweep of the clubface.
@@dtgps Tiger got stuck on the downswing far too often with the swing you are referring to. The laid off position plane that Haney introduced helped him return the club more on plane which is the essence of good golf, helping him all but eliminate left misses. I love Hogan but there is more than one way to play great golf. Fact remains that Tiger was more prolific with Haney than at any other time. As far as rotation, Tiger's lower body rotation has always been immense.
