Live Multicam is such an INCREDIBLE tool and a massive update to the Final Cut Pro ecosystem (can't wait to see it on FCP for Mac). I know it's not auto-captions or transcript-based editing that everyone's dying to see implemented... but this is going to be one of those features people slowly use more and more and once it's a critical part of their workflow they won't be able to imagine life without it. Great tutorial, bro!

That’s sick! Does this function work on only the newest iPad Pro, or on previous generations too?
I could be wrong, but it looked like there was a bit of a delay between the different devices on the live recording. Particularly when you were moving your arm quickly in front of them.
I’m curious if that was the case when editing it too? Were they off by a few frames?
Definitely there’s delay while filming, but once it transfers the full quality files over, there’s zero issue!

But I am quite disapointed as I love using all Apple products but I prefer iPad mini and I can't run Final cut on it, even I have latest one.
It seems very funny when I am on appstore and there is grey button of download for Final Cut Pro for iPad and next to it is Davinci Resolve for iPad, which I can use without any issues...
But overal this is a great option, even I see possibility to replace Davinci Resolve Atem in some cases with much more convinent devices.
Does it let you choose a NAS, or just a directly connected device?
Man, live multi cam… for iPad… limited to iOS devices. How many phones and iPads is one supposed to have? Ugh come on Apple, what do fcpx users have to do to get this kind of attention. 😂
No way this couldn’t work on my M1 Max MacBook. Apple being Apple per usual.
