The Kr1s by Kawasaki is the fastest 250cc two stroke race bike. Other 250s in this class handled better but Kawasaki was the beast to beat. Too bad you didn't show case it in this video.
I dont know buddy, having owned a Japan imported KR1s as my first bike in 92 through to end of 93, i do genuinely believe my VJ22 RGV250P I replaced it with had a more aggressive powerband. I then replaced that with an MC28 NSR250SP Repsol which was by far the nicest 2 stroke i had but it was boring compared to the RGV and didn't get anywhere near the rush the RGV never failed to deliver on. Having said that I never did get my hands on an HRC PGM card which Im told turned the NSR into an entirely different bike. I guess I'll never know now.
@@Timetofly8888Kawasaki's KR-1S was the quickest mass-produced, 250 two-stroke ever (139mph being recorded in a 1990 speed test), being quicker than both Suzuki's RGV and even Aprilia's later (but RGV-powered) RS250. On the downside it came with slightly questionable reliability and handling that could tank slap you into casualty.

@toddclarke2348 Im not disputing that, and id believe the record but riding both side by side , the RGV and KR1s , the RGV was way more violently responsive once you hit 7k and was considerably more fun but thats still doesnt nessasarily translate into a top speed record either. (EDIT) I Do know the RGV went off the clock at 180kph and did it effortlessly, my NSR being NZ new went off the clock at 220kph and also seemed pretty happy to get close but just boring linear getting there. THe KR1s was also Jap imported so 180kph n pretty sure it smashed it too. All I can say is IF I had the looks n handling of the NSR, The power delivery of the RGV (Anyday) and as you say the top end of the KR1S , then I'd say that bike would have been the king of all kings rd legal 250 2strokes.
It was class as 70 road 30 off road but most people that test it said 90/10. For me it is a perfect all-rounder.I had the TZR 250 1KT for 5 years and replaced it with the TDR 250 which I have until now and enjoy every second with it for the last nine years.
@@simeondlastreet6282kr1s top speed in countless tests was 143 mph .Faster in a max speed test [which is what we were just watching] than an Rgv 250 top speed.
@@StuartRichardson-vl4ht not saying fastest in top speed but maybe it was not so fast of the line as the others because of the top speed gearing. My TDR is really fast to 180, after that the others will catch up.
the comparisons you made are completely wrong, first of all the dates are chaotic between the machines, compare them with the same dates....the Suzuki is more quick than the other
Hello
Very good! I have TRZ250 Reverse in 23! Supper oldscool motoGP
I’ll save everyone the trouble, the fastest production 250 2 stroke was the Kawasaki KR1s with a top speed of 140 mph….its not in this list

It should have been on this list, the tdr barely made 175kph!
KR1 S?
If i am not wrong this aprilia has a suzuki engine. Good video
Yes it does but it has revised port timing, different expansion chambers and remapped ECU as well as ceramic pistons developed by Aprilia.
@@davidyoung9561there's no ecu in 2 stroke
@@gamingaccount2669 yeah ? Tell that to honda with the MC28 NSR250 and Suzuki with their VJ23 RGV250.

Dont know why they dont make these 250 / 300's perform like this anymore. Crazy with all the technology today, it should be easily possible.

That music blow my brain wtf is that
I've had 3 of these smoking beauties in the top 5😊
Lucky you , me only 2 but I still have the TDR.{but I have driven all of them.
Kr1s??? Whereee???
Where is Kawasaki KR1s ..?
Of all the bikes here I will take the Aprilia last. RGV , TDR , TZR , NSR , RS
There is so much incorrect information in this video
Not Fair TZR Standard And NSR/RGV/RS Modified... CAN HEAR THEIR EXHAUST SOUND THEY USE CHAMBER OR STANDARD...
the comparisons you made are completely wrong, first of all the dates are chaotic between the machines, compare them with the same dates....the Suzuki is more quick than the other
Nsr 250 is the fastest one
Why go to all this trouble to make a video without the actual fastest 250 duh
La.mas rápida de todas y no la pones
Kawasaki kr1s 235 de máxima.
TZR is Fast to
Yes they are .Years back I had a 1kt that made 63hp on the wheel , and boy it was fast.
No.1 make no sense. How come you said it was the fastest when it even cant beat the front motorcycle.
ua-cam.com/video/o3INW7L3nN0/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared .go see that video, that guy used rs250,that bike even can chase RD500
Yes apprilia got rgv engine ...! My TZM 147cc 1995 easily touch 240 kmph ...!!!
Aprilia RS 250 70hp, not 59....🤔
Mmmmmm not best im thinking fast...same pdk r1 fast in the whorl 240kmh
