I'm one of the five people who bought Nick Carter's first solo album and at the time, I was still of the "Rock is authentic, pop is shallow" mentality, so I believed that this was the kind of music that you made once you "matured" out of the kind of pop music the Backstreet Boys made. I remember seeing Justin Timberlake's video for "Cry Me a River" shortly thereafter and, being the ever-wise 11-year-old that I was, thinking "Pff, this guy's still doing pop music? 18 years later, this song still rocks! It's really sad that his solo carreer didn't work out cuz he's such a good performer, I mean it doesn't matter what people say, he's a great singer. My eternal prince charming 🥰

I picked the right bsb member. He is so much like me. A hot head with a good heart. Flawed but real. Talented but lacking confidence at times. So so socially awkward but cute so no one can tell until they get past the surface. He is secretly the underdog and I am rooting for him. I'm one of the five people who bought Nick Carter's first solo album and at the time, I was still of the "Rock is authentic, pop is shallow" mentality, so I believed that this was the kind of music that you made once you "matured" out of the kind of pop music the Backstreet Boys made. I remember seeing Justin Timberlake's video for "Cry Me a River" shortly thereafter and, being the ever-wise 11-year-old that I was, thinking "Pff, this guy's still doing pop music? Well, his career is going nowhere. Not like NICK CARTER, who's doing grown-up rock music!"
