Just wanted to explain BTS members’ ages. Until this year (2023), the way South Korea (SK) calculated someone’s age was totally different from the rest of the world (International Age). Basically, a person would be 1 year old on the day they were born. Then, everyone turned another year older on January 1st each year no matter when their actual birth date was. For an extreme example, TaeHyung (V), was born on December 30th. So, he was 1 year old at birth and then two days later, he turned 2 years old on January 1st. Because SK just adopted using International Age this year, the members have continued to refer to their age in the old way thus far. Jung Kook (JK) was actually 13 years old when he signed with Big Hit Entertainment and 15 when BTS debuted on June 13, 2013. Here are the members’ ages when they debuted. Nam-joon (RM): 18 Seok-jin (Jin): 20 Yoon-gi (Suga): 20 Ho-seok (j-hope): 19 Ji-min (Jimin): 17 Tae-Hyung (V): 17 Jung-kook (Jung Kook/JK): 15 I hope this little tidbit of information helps you in your overall understanding of our guys. I absolutely adore these seven guys. Jin is now in the military and J Hope is leaving this week (my bias). I have lived through many "boy bands'" and have never seen one with more multi talented members and members wo genuinely love each other like brothers. These guys are "once in a lifetime"!

About their names, the last name shown is their first name, so Jeon Jungkook...Jungkook is his first name and Jeon is his last or family name. They do it like that in Korea, and many Asian countries. Also, about the age, Korean age up until recently was about 2 years older than international age. So, for example, Jungkook actually started with Big Hit at Age 13 (not 15) and made his debut as the Main Vocalist for the group at Age 15. They were All young at debut (ages 15 to 20 or 21), which was on June 13, 2013. Suggest you watch Ida S video called Jungkook as the Main Vocalist of BTS (2022 or 2023 update). There is more to the role than just being a great singer.

9:40 That 148 was RM’s IQ for the longest until he retested during mid-exams or KSATs and what I thought was his new recorded IQ at 190 turned out to only be his english composition test score, which I’ll have to go back to rewatch #ProblematicMan to see what his new IQ is (if mentioned). Also, he learned english during his teen years watching “Friends” and later taught the rest of them along with JHOPE who shared in teaching them english as well. *All the members can speak decent amount of english to hold full conversations.*

About their names, the last name shown is their first name, so Jeon Jungkook...Jungkook is his first name and Jeon is his last or family name. They do it like that in Korea, and many Asian countries. Also, about the age, Korean age up until recently was about 2 years older than international age. So, for example, Jungkook actually started with Big Hit at Age 13 (not 15) and made his debut as the Main Vocalist for the group at Age 15. They were All young at debut (ages 15 to 20 or 21), which was on June 13, 2013. Suggest you watch Ida S video called Jungkook as the Main Vocalist of BTS (2022 or 2023 update). There is more to the role than just being a great singer.
