Summer cruising, how nice!
Lulworth is a beautiful place to stop over. As I recall there used to be a coastguard station on the cliff but it fell into the sea after a cliff fall. We would spend a lot of time here as kids, swimming and kayaking across the bay. Happy days.
I have had many great holidays in Lulworth Cove, albeit a few years ago, Great Video and glad I found your channel very interesting and looking forward to watch more Thanks
Thanks Andy! Glad you enjoyed it!
I can’t believe you went swimming; that water had to be freezing cold! 🥶
It was but it’s refreshing after being in the heat all day.
Never realised how pretty the Uk coast was. You make a great ambassador for the land of Pie and Mash 🥧
It’s stunning in the right places! The food hits the spot too! Thanks for watching 😀
Well done alex
Cheers tim!
Lovely film of a favourite part of the world for me. Thanks for respecting the seagrass protection area too: these are really important habitats (and not impossible to avoid!)
Thanks for watching! If I had a deeper draft then I would have struggled to stay out of the sea grass and would of had to anchor further out to avoid it. Benefits of small boats!
Nice upload Alex, nice weather for it, hope to be over there soon.
Enjoyed your sailing video Alex and the views are amazing Look forward to the race video with Daniel 👍👍👍👍
We could do with some nice sunshine soon. Lulworth Cove is nice spot for a night at anchor
Great video the drone shots were 😘👌 👍👍
Cheers!
Nice scenery Alex
Oh man. It is winter here in Finland. Ice covers sea.
Yeah only just started to warm up here in the uk. This was filmed last summer
I find with St Albans is to go very tight inshore. Usually flat calm with breakers out to seaward. I’m like you, a solo sailor on a 25footer out of Gosport. Love your footage. Keep it up.
Thanks!!!
Was that the race off st Albans that was a bit choppy, I cane through there with my Dad years ago, was much bigger waves when we did it but we were on a bigger boat😂
The bit just before was much bigger but Meraki got through it ok. The waves on the round the island race will be much bigger.
What lovely conditions, and it shows the respect that you have to treat St Alhelms Head with! My trip through there was force 6 and wind over tide so rough as anything, easily 6ft high waves. Amazingly nothing broke, old boats are strong. It is on day 2 of my video, no where near as well produced as yours but interesting to compare conditions ua-cam.com/video/CaHi65xUOOI/v-deo.html
Will take a look! Older boats are definitely made of some tough stuff!
