Only just discovering this great series. Lovely video work, superb drone shots and tasteful music! As another relative novice sailor I am wondering why you did not put up a reefed main and jib to give you a bit more balance and control. Probably something to do with the currents, or was it just easier the way you did it? Although originally from Leicester (how landlocked can you get?) I sail on Lake Champlain in Vermont , so have never had to deal with currents - just fickle winds!!
At time 0.51 Henk is not thinking about the camera the thought is "When are we going ashore I need to ......Cr*p"". I just LOVE your vids and not just this area.
Hey Carly, Cool channel and nice to see you starting the dinghy! Can you do a unedited cold start video yourself to show how many pulls it takes just you to get the motor started and running in your next video? Also love the color on your toes in the video and what size are your pretty pedicured feet? Take care and looking forward to more adventures!
Thanks mate. I'm a size 11 in running trainers although a 10.5 in most shoes and boots, but finding a 10.5 can be tricky, but a 10 just feels like it's squeezing my feet that bit much, apart from work boots, steel toecap boots for some reason I can wear a 10 no worries, although not the cheaper brands as again they seem to cut into the widest point of my feet, so I always spend some money on some new building site footwear! 👌🏻😎
@@CadohaAdventures No, I was asking about Carly’s foot size and what color her toes are painted now? Also if she can do a unedited cold start video herself on how many pulls it takes her to get the motor started and running on the dinghy when the motor is cold too her touch understand?
We haven't totally figured out where we're spending the winter yet, but we do now have a lot of work to get done so it'll be somewhere close to supplies and tools 😬⛵️⛵️
There are a few dotted around the coast , maybe not as impressive as Dartmouth's. In Portsmouth sailors use the large war memorial on the seafront as a mark.
Make sure you don't lose signal with your drone flying through objects! If the auto return home kicks is the drone will fly into objects even if the have sensors

I have no doubt at all in my mind that we'll be back. 😁🙏🏻
Hey Carly,
Cool channel and nice to see you starting the dinghy!

No, I was asking about Carly’s foot size and what color her toes are painted now?
Also if she can do a unedited cold start video herself on how many pulls it takes her to get the motor started and running on the dinghy when the motor is cold too her touch understand?
Warren Woods? Gotta go there!
Very nice, where are you off to next? Your MMSI has you heading out of Poole yesterday.
We haven't totally figured out where we're spending the winter yet, but we do now have a lot of work to get done so it'll be somewhere close to supplies and tools 😬⛵️⛵️
@@CadohaAdventures Good stuff, plenty of places around the Solent to choose from. All the best for your winter projects. 😎🗺⚓⛵❄
Did you go up to Totnes, it definitely is a fantastic river to explore
We did indeed. Interesting place, had kind of a rich hippy vibe to it 😂 Great cakes too!
@@CadohaAdventures its great when you turn the bend in the river and the church comes into view, I love the reed beds just before the last straight
Micro climate Dartmouth. My favourite place in UK
Will there be Captain Undies emergency procedures in this video? lol
Aye m8’s, nice one! About the Daymark: Are there more of these around?
I don't know, I imagine others likely exist, but this is the only one we've seen so far on our journey 😁⛵️
Hi ,were those geese flying over or cranes or vultures / and what do make him carry in the ruck sack ? or is he on jankers ? Hank
They were geese which flew in formation past us every day 😍😍
Liked the format of the video, less long chats at the beginning but spread out through the video. Just quick question, I did not see a springer line on the anchor chain, but I imagine you removed it before filming. Thank you for the video.
Do you mean a snubber? We didn't put one on in the river, but that last couple of days we wished we had 😳
@@CadohaAdventures Sorry, wrong word, snubber being right, you can save a great deal of heartache and expensive repairs by using one in tidal waters and strong/bad weather. You should have asked Hank, he would have told you. - Again liked the new format of your videos this week. thank you.
Cool
😁
Impressive how we discovered, what we call home! And we found that after all, foreigners (tourists) know our country better than us, do not they?
Well we certainly feel like we're on a voyage of discovery in our own back yard!
@@CadohaAdventures Now, imagine the poor wretches, anchored in bays infested with masts, marinas full, a great confusion of noise... And the covi waiting for you! Meanwhile, you're in Paradise, and it's your backyard.
You are not anti-social but rather socially independent...that's what we always say!
Will you live on the boat through the winter?
How's about getting Hank a dog backpack and have him lighten your load a bit on the shore expeditions? 🙂
Now that is a great idea. About time he started pulling his weight 😂
@@CadohaAdventures Dogs love to have jobs to do. Mine used to carry his 2 small water bottles, and bowl, in a special pack and thought he was so clever.
Pretty sure Hank decided he was absolutely deserving of his new clobber. He really does have the air of a dog that should be on a super yacht, but I think this may have mollified him for a while at least...
Ha, yes, he certainly sees himself as the ruler of all he surveys 😂
