ONE LAST matcha tip I forgot:
👉Matcha is so much tastier when prepared with 80 ºC water (not quite boiling). Boiling water will burn the matcha and bring out a bitterness.
If you're not able to temp control your boiling water, just add some cold water. I promise it will still be delicious. :)
    most importantly...ENJOY!!! 💚

I live in Japan and I actually work in a tea ceremony experience teahouse for tourists in Japan! As a perk when I’m at work I can drink as much matcha as I want, which I often do, I love it so much and working where I do has deepened my love and appreciation for it. Matcha really is amazing 💚

I live in Japan near a lot of green tea farms, and thought for a second you were near me in Shizuoka.. its small world.
The green tea drinks are mostly lower quality teas (bancha and sencha) with some added macha powder, they are still pretty good though.
In spring the shincha new tea is released and it tastes amazing, the light sweetness is very refreshing. I love green tea!

There is a reason Japanese tend to live longer. High quality matcha, seaweed, tofu/tempeh, fish, all activate longevity sirtuins. In our country we do have "ceremonial" grade Matcha. About 70$/50 grams matcha. Yeah, that begins to feel like a scam to me. I just drink high quality bio green tea. It also has all the exquisite flavors and much cheaper!

I whisk the matcha vigorously with this whisk in a matcha bowl, then transfer it to a glass and top it up with oat milk and ice cubes. Thanks for sharing! It’s indeed pricey which I can understand after seeing how it’s made.
Do you live in the US? My favorite budget option is the Trader Joe’s matcha. It’s a nice quality and is individually packaged to avoid oxidation. It’s still not cheap though at a little over a dollar a drink.
Cheaper / “worse” quality matcha can also be quite yummy when added to a smoothie with banana 😋 I definitely have a stash of the cheap stuff for this purpose.
Lastly, in Japan I discovered this mixture of powdered green tea and powdered matcha that’s quite nice and affordable because it’s not 100% matcha. I still drink it regularly. :)

I go to buy it and then get lost in the choices!

YES! Relatable. It’s hard to tell by the package.
My current favorite is called Ikuyo Matcha:

For me, it’s been a lot of trial and error. If I buy a bad one, I just use it for banana smoothies and it tastes much better :)

The Sience Of Self Care kratom episode? I take a fist full of it before I do my mobility and stretch out. Capsule form. The actual material is too bitter.

Thanks for sharing! I don’t much at all about Kratom-I’m going to investigate :) out of curiosity: have you noticed any benefits? Why did you decide to take it before mobility?

@TheScienceofSelfCare well from about 16 to 26 I was a opioid addict. When I got high, I would like to stretch because it felt good that way. I'm 33 years old and clean now, thanks to kratom. Now I take kratom before I do my mobility and my splits because it does the same thing. It calms the muscles down. It doesn't bind to opioid recpters, but it stimulates them. That's about all I know about it. But I'd love to hear a smart person go in deep on it, hence why I asked you :)
