  • There's no official Ubuntu Desktop version that works on an M1/M2 Macintosh silicon, so I show you how to download and install the latest version of Ubuntu to work on your Mac using the free version of VMWare Fusion Player, and the Ubuntu Server release, which I turn into the Desktop release. Magic! This video is sponsored by www.PCBWay.com!

Does UTM follow the same procedures to install Ubuntu? or Should I just vmware Fusion to get a better experience?

I find utm to have low performance on my M2 silicon, but you can give it a try, VMware should be best, and it's free for personal use

So after setting up the desktop UI, will it always boot up at the Ubuntu desktop UI login? If so, can you revert back to starting at the Ubuntu server?
