I’ll be graduating from college in December and felt I’ve missed out on the college experience (especially since I stayed local with my parents at home). My dream is to go to Italy 🇮🇹 in January. Thank you for the tips 🥺

You should become a UF SAPA (UF Study Abroad Peer Advisor). We would love to refer your videos to students at UF before studying abroad

Hi. Thank you for this video. If you could please respond to this as soon as you can because my daughters leaving soon. Do the women wear shirts that show the midriff there? If not please include this in your response. Secondly is there a place to buy a fan for the dorm room? Or should this be brought from the United States? How many towels are needed? The door of my daughter staying in does not have a dryer. How did you do laundry there? Any further safety tips?

M D If you are trying to blend in with the people living in Florence as much as possible, then I suggest wearing jeans or any form of pants really! Last year I noticed a lot of flowy pants paired with sneakers which I thought was cute! Or even casual dresses are popular there.

What a great video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

This video was really helpful as I am studying in Florence in the Fall! I was just curious, I am taking a class from 6 to 8:30 at night, do you believe this is still an unsafe time to walk alone? Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hi Isabella! I am so happy you found this video helpful! From my experience, walking home at 8:30 at night was fine. Once it hits 10:00 p.m. is when I noticed more people started walking in groups. Usually the streets are still very busy at 8:30 p.m. because families are out to dinner!

Many credit cards don’t have international fees. If you’re a student, the discover it student card has no international fee. Many travel cards also don’t have international fees such as a hotel or airline card.
