Ron Harper. Always overlooked.
Nice to see DJ getting some love. He was an amazing player overall with tenacious D and my perfect point guard!
For me, John Wall should be included in the honorable mentions. Talk about his underrated blocking ability and if I'm correct, think he now leads the most career blocks by a PG for about 427 passing Kidd(425 career blocks)
May not be 10 top in the list but cant snubbed his good ability of being a defensive PG
Nice list and great muzic broski
Avery Johnson should have been an honorable mention at least. Other than that, great list!
Chauncey Billups at honorable mentions would be good
Gary is defensive hacker
Very good list
I came of age during the 90s in Seattle, and I have yet to see as explosive and athletic of a duo as Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton-saw it LIVE at Key Arena. Payton, only PG to win the Defensive Player of the Year, like you wrote. Even though Jordan would not admit it, Payton got in his head a little, but just a little...
MJs stats really dropped off during the 96 Finals once the Sonics put GP on him after game 2 if i remember well.
I really like this list, only i'm surprised at how Chris Paul is ranked. Wow🤯
Chris Paul is very very good defensively
Great list
Thanks Joker :D
Basketball Fundamentals Always brotha
Guys I really appreciate this video because I had a 420 thought however you should had added a "Championship" category! Us football fans don't know who has rings or how many here! Thanks!!
How about muggsy bogues good defender to
John Wall should be an honorable mention
I love John Wall's game, but he only has 1 All Defensive team in his career. When healthy he is one of the best defensive PGs right now, thats for sure.
Basketball Fundamentals yeah but so does Mike Conley, John Wall when healthy is the best shot blocking guard and his speed helps him stay in front of the offensive player
What about muggsy bouges?
Surprised to see MJ and Kobe didn't make it. But I know they were equally great on both ends of the court.
This video is about point guards nit shooting guards
No Tony Allen? Thats crazy
Not a PG
A lot of great clips. I would have appreciated names under the "honorable mentions" section. You didn't actually mention them and i dont know who some of them are lol But great job anyways !
Thank you for your comment, really appreciate it! As far as honorable mentions - thats what happens when you rush a video :D
Gary Payton was such an amazing two way player!
Derek Harper should have been #2
Well Chris Paul has 7x All-defensive first team selections, 2x All-defensive second team selections, 6x steals leader.
Cp3 is a menace on defense even at age 36
Stockton was a great double team guy for the jazz. But and average on ball defender. Still better than curry.
Ron Harper?
He started as a 2
What about Magic Johnson?
Chris Paul Seriously?! He shoud'nt be even in the top 10 of this list!
??? He has the 11th most all defensive team selections and like tied for 8th for the most all defensive 1st selections out of any position. The stats are there bro they are on the screen ☠️😭‼️what are you not seeing ⁉️⁉️
@@Alex-oo3rv Stats doesn't mean that he is a good defender. Good performances and Effective game style is way more than just stats!
@@Alex-oo3rv Ok he has 8 1st defensive selections, and Kawhi Leonard has 7 Selections and not all of them are 1st team. Does this make cp3 a better defender than Kawhi?
@@gabrielnonato13 Kawhi is a SF, not a PG. It’s useless to compare two positions in all defensive selections because SF’s tend to be bigger, therefore (usually) better defenders, therefore it’s harder to get into an all defensive team as an SF because there are better defenders in the SF position than in a PG position
@@gabrielnonato13 stats are a good way to reflect performances that’s why we have them
