Love this! Sometimes I thought ‘what is she doing! She’s spoilt it!’ But what do I know! Then , through layering a beautiful painting emerges, love it!
I have been working on the looseness of my watercolors. So glad I found you on U tube… your work is amazing and how I want to paint. It’s seems so freeing and expressive of the painter. Keep the workshops coming!
There's a serenity felt within the chaotic spread of colour that sets this apart from many other abstract painting. It seems you achieve that in a good number of of your finished works. I really love it. Thank you for showing us how it's done. TTFN.
I have no idea how many times I've watched this video, since you made it, and I'm in awe every time! This is definitely one of my favorite paintings of yours. It is stunning and the colors are amazing! 😍🎨🖌️
Hadn't seen this video before but definitely one of my favorites. Lifting layers makes so much sense as adds that dimension. Love it and inspired me to loosen up more
Another beautiful painting Debra Lyn…and I love the bright and bold colors of the Mission paints. I have never tried them but I am loving how highly pigmented they are and how beautiful the colors are…thank-you once again for posting and explaining. God bless!
Greetings Debra! I thoroughly enjoyed this demonstration. I absolutely love the vibrancy, harmony, and the loose abstract approach to this painting. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏽🤗💖🌟💖🌟💖
You want to know what I think I think it’s amazing my mouth was open through most of the video thank you so much for sharing your process I love your loose abstract floral watercolour art. I feel really inspired I’m gonna try this tomorrow. Thank you 👏🖼🖌🌸🙏
Wow!!! This is only the 2nd video I've watched of yours... LOVE your style and explanation of the process. Thank you for sharing! I'll be watching lots more!
Deb, Deb, Love this peace. So glad to hear you will be working with a very well none art INC. THEY SEE WHAT A TALENT YOU ARE. OK just got done ordering the paint you are using here from Amazon. And I see what I was doing wrong with my bleed prof white.was that dish soap made very watery. I'm going to try that to. I have used Windex very little, but not dish soap. This is so Pretty. I am so happy you are staying with UTUBE, I just no you are going to have many followers, a lot of use love loose art, love to see that paint flow. Hope your are feeling well. Merry Holidays, Judy
Hi Judy! Thanks so much! You’re going to love your new paints! Congrats on your new purchase. …Did you get a bulletproof case for the paint? …the case is awesome! The dish soap was what I had in the little white ceramic dish. I just dip my brush into It and then sprinkle onto paper. Or you could draw a line with it too, it will just push the paint away. The bleed proof needs a very wet brush, then dip in product and dip in water…then shake over art. But, just know after you do that it gets very tricky putting more paints down, things can get very muddy and fast. Also, keep your water with the bleed proof in a separate container if you can, you don’t contaminate your paints with a brush that has any bleed proof left on it.
I have always loved looking at your art. Have started to think maybe I will try. This piece really sings to me. Thanks for being so accessible and showing your interesting techniques
Thank you, Debra Lyn, for another beautiful painting and great tutorial. You are right to ask followers to wait until the end of the video when all is revealed!
I Love your style of abstract! Beautiful, I just started watercolor and watching lots of videos, hoping to be the kind of abstract artist that you are! It’s my favourite as opposed to the very fine detailed work! Thanks for the video!
Wow are you courageous at putting the pigment down! When I try using toilet paper (yes I do too) it leaves mistakes which reinforces my fear of using bold pure paints.
Love this! Sometimes I thought ‘what is she doing! She’s spoilt it!’ But what do I know! Then , through layering a beautiful painting emerges, love it!
I have a tendency to make people yell at the TV. 🤣
😊❤Looking loose and free, so love your style and teaching
You’re amazing. Think I might start with something similar
It’s mesmerizing to watch as you build the color bit by bit. Your bold use of color and contrast are wonderful! What is the soap you added?
