    this is a review well done. Starts with recording right from the start of the video, shows it in different scenarios, tells about the red light, etc. Also you were honest and told us to dislike the video if we thought it sucked, ppl who say that are usually fucking cool. Thumbs up

    This mic is great, the worst part about it is that it records INCREDIBLY LOW. Which is why you sounded the way you did, however if you record on audacity or any other audio software, it picks it up just fine.in my opinion, that's the only downfall. You sounded like you were talking through a straw.

    You should create a list of recommended microphones that correspond with different prices. So for 15 bucks, you would list the best microphone for that price, then list the best microphone for $20, etc.

      +Cardboard Box Someone just requested I do one like this, and I am doing a mic round up for under $40. I don't have enough in the same price range for this to work.

    The biggest issue is this mic picks up EVERYTHING. Even using a controller 2 feet away and under a desk, it picks up every little click. It even picks up the cat eating 15 feet away.
    I run at just 5% gain and even then the clean up needed in audacity is significant. I use it on a mic arm (neewer) and keep it close (maybe 5-6 inches) from my mouth, but background noise is still massive.
    That said, it is great value for money. Saving up for an AT2100 USB, should have significant less background noise pick up.
    Nice video mate!

    Are you recording your audio with that? Because it sounds very good.

  • @jaythan4534

    I have had trouble with the clicking as well, is there any specific way to solve that problem through editing or any sound checking routines before actually recording? Just putting this comment here since it happened in the video but im using another mic.
    Maybe its the jack connection to the USB soundcard OR the USB soundcard connecting to the computer but its really weird and im just not sure.
    Another issue thats really strange is during voice chat with a friend I can hear my own voice echoing , of course it has to be my friend who's using speakers BUT he was using earphones so there's no way for the sound to loop to create an echo. Just so so weird.

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  7 років тому +1

      I think it had to do with the cable, and moving it around. That's the only thing I can think of that would cause the clicking.

    Although I understand I am clueless as to why everyone has gotten into Mechanical Keyboards & RGB Lighting, after watching this video I question, did you get a keyboard running "Cherry MX Blues" because you personal like the sound of it, or because it serves as a great sound prop for you mic tests?

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  5 років тому +1

      I bought the mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blues, becuase so many people complained that I was using an apple keyboard which was relatively quiet. Most gamers use mechanical keyboards with really loud switches (the cherry mx blues are a type of switch), so I added this to my testing to show them how it would sound for them.

      @@Podcastage , that is dedication to your audience.
      I grew up before the "computer." To be honest, we didn't even have an electronic typewriter. We had to pound our homework out on an old manual typewriter. I loved the silence of the modern keyboards. Just goes to show, everyone has their own personal experiences that mold their pretences.
      Thanks for what do!!!

    Hey man, did you ever find out what was causing that clicking noise? Mine does the same while recording in OBS, even tho the mic is sationary ;/

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому +1

      +Simon Rosengren Other than that, I was unable to find anything that would be causing this. Perhaps clipping causes the clicking? I'm honestly not certain.

    What would you suggest personally? I don't have a ton of money, but I'm saving up, I don't want to get one of these $12 mics because, well ya know. But I can't afford like a $200 mic, I want a set up, like a boom arm, a pop filter, a mic. but I have no clue what to get, trying to watch all your reviews is difficult bc lack of comparison, think you could help?

      This mic will fit on neewer boom arm with the 5/8" to 3/8" mic stand adapter that should come with the boom arm.

    hey podcastage, ive started to try to get into lets plays. I want to use my blue switch keyboard but my blue snowball Ice keeps picking up all the keyboard noise. this is the same with my membrane. My mic is in front of my keyboard and i use a mic arm to have it elevated.. Im not sure how to fix this... thanks

    Blue snow ball ice:
    The idea is don't waste money. This product basically introduces latency which cannot be reduced at any cost. Even with pluhins. with other mics we atleast have asio or the sound card. Here Asio introduces glitchy sounds as this is a usb drived one and headphone should be connected on the same usb if u dont want latency, that is not possible here. Yotally waste of time and money 5000☹️ best idea is to buy a condencer for 1k and shout till u here the voice or buy a dynamic mic which dose noice cancelling... Thats the best option....

      @Podcastage  8 років тому

      +Alex Mason Can you please elaborate. I want to be able to take your criticism and learn from it. Are you saying that when I review popular mics, I seem uninterested and unenergetic, or is this an overarching comment about all my videos saying that I sound unenergetic in all my videos and all the microphones I review are well known? Thanks.

    • @auxide9623
      @auxide9623 8 років тому +1

      +Podcastage I just wanted to mention that when you are reviewing popular Mics, you seem uninterested and unenergetic. Like your other videos you start the video strong and ecstatic! I love your reviews I'm definitely just giving my opinion no need to take my comments harshly. Keep on making videos, I believe you will go places! P.s I notice your well typed response to a troll I suggest you just ignore the haters if they get to you just take a break. All it takes is a push of a button to turn off the monitor. Ignore them don't give them any attention, they feed off it.
