Definitely an improvement on the mic. Now you can really be heard. Even over top of that noisy CAT!😂 I have to give you a little bit of a hard time since I’m a diehard Cummins, Detroit, and Mack gal. According to Jeff the 3408 was the only CAT worth having and I have to agree.
The whistle from a cat never gets old and the improved sound lets you hear that. What's in that W9 like a 550? Hope am not asking something you already answered.

it’s cool…besides most old models trucks are kind of noisy anyways don’t be to concern about it that’s how you notice problems with the engine cause you familiar with it

Realistically, how much can an owner operator expect to take home a week? I love big trucks, wouldn't mind getting my CDL, but if money wouldn't be much of an improvement I don't think I'd do it.
