You have no idea how much I envy those guys enjoying a ride on a very well restored late StuG III Ausf.G evidenced by no smoke from the exhaust pipes! As I always stated I would love to drive it home 👍👍👍👍

That's not a mis fire, it's also not the StuG it's a tractor that's making that noise.

@@jimmylight4866 It was 100% not the StuG III, that's the 2-stroke engine and StuG will never sound like that, even with backfire.

I remember reading several accounts of how the StuG was a deadly anti-tank platform in its own right. American and British commanders on the ground requested that their air forces not just prioritize German armor but especially armor like the StuG. One account related how one German StuG commander was responsible for destroying 30 or more tanks. That has to be one hell of a tank destroyer.

For people complaining about not wearing German stuff, its a event were the Public can ride these things for a normal price, you can't force a normal pleb to wear a German uniform.

German uniform is forbidden om this event

This was fun.The only thing better, would be if the stug operator's , were wearing authentic Panzer unit uniforms .

It's not really a reenactment and if they would allow uniforms they event will be canceled within a year and never return.

@@PanzerPicture Unfortunately. Politically correct times we live in . In rhe U.S. we do civil war Battle reenactments, every year .

Thought so, too. but maybe, one jumpers similar to U.S. Army crew overalls with a different color would look cool

@@awol2019 it's not about political correctness, we Dutch don't do PC nonsense, it's anti German sentiment, a lot of people still hate the Germans with all their heart and their are anti German groups that will shut this event down.

@@PanzerPicture Maybe i see it because i am american, and we have incredible freedoms . what you say in your statement , is the definition of political correctness.
You personally, may not be politically correct, but if the people in this video , cannot conduct themselves in a completely legal and above board way, without being persecuted, that is dealing with not only political correctness but also tyranny .

Or at least Millitracks should design a uniform that doesn't remind you of the German Uniforms of WWII but still make them look good.

If you want the event to be shut down just because you want to see German uniforms that don't add anything to the event then yes they will.

It's not a reenactment, so they will never allow German uniforms or anything that looks German, this is also to avoid the Grazies from protesting.

I can understand why wearing the Wehrmact uniform would be considered bad form or illegal due to Neo-nazi groups that would like to proudly wear the uniform(though Nazis have nothing about themselves or their history to be proud of) but I myself would certainly be happy to watch the restored vehicles and armor being put through their paces and admire the workmanship of those who restored them.
