I'm guessing you also haven't seen: "The Pirates: Band of Misfits"
Because that's once again another film we have Amy Pascal to thank for existing. Because she signed a deal with Aardman for them to make animated movies for Sony, and originally it was actually gonna be computer animated, but when Pascal saw the ships and other models, she decided that it should be stop motion instead.

In Doug, do you remember The Beats? The Beats were honestly probably one of the best fictional bands ever, giving us memorable songs like: "I Need Mo Allowance", "Shout Your Lungs Out", and of course... "Killer Tofu". Aside from The Quailman dream sequences, The Beats were very easily the best part of the Nickelodeon Doug. Which is why it really pisses me off that they had them break up in the Disney Doug.

You haven't seen Risky Business ha? Well... despite not being a Tom Cruise fan, I still think you should give him a chance in that movie, because that's the movie that pretty much turned him into the famed actor that he is today and honestly, it's very easy to see why. He's very charismatic in the part, and makes his character: "Joel Goodson", instantly likable. Risky Business is a movie that could've very easily been annoying, but thanks to Tom Cruise's suburb work, it becomes one of the most enduring teen movies ever made. I probably would even go as far as to say it's right up there with John Hughes filmography. Despite all of the mishaps that happen in the movie, Joel attempts to keep levelheaded, and it's hard not to root for him. Again, huge credit goes to Tom Cruise, in that regard.

And then another thing that's not on Disney+ is the Stark Raving Dad episode of Simpsons. Which... I don't understand why that's not on there, considering what a big supporter Michael Jackson was of Simpsons. Have you seen: "Dick Tracy"?
Now... the reason I bring that movie up is because... you probably already know that there are only 3 Roger Rabbit shorts and... that movie sort of played a part in that. Because originally they actually were planning on making more Roger Rabbit shorts, including one called: "Hare in my Soup", in which Roger was gonna be a waiter. However, it ended up not happening because Spielberg and Eisner got into a fight over which movie the shorts were gonna play before in theaters. Because Tummy Trouble was attached to theater screenings of: "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". And when Roller Coaster Rabbit was conceived, Spielberg wanted that short to be attached to theater screenings of: "Arachnophobia", which was an Amblin Entertainment production. But Eisner insisted that the short instead be shown before Dick Tracy, and ultimately... Eisner ended up winning. And Spielberg was so upset about that, that he pretty much put a cancelation on any future Roger Rabbit shorts. Including Hare in my Soup, which was gonna be attached to theater screenings of: "The Rocketeer". Eventually though, he did allow: "Trail Mix-Up", to be put into production which was attached to theater screenings of: "A Far Off Place". But then... that was it, cause after Trail Mix-Up, Spielberg stopped working at Disney all together, and soon afterwards, teamed up with Katzenberg and Geffen to form Dreamworks. It's too bad cause I would've liked to have seen more Roger Rabbit shorts. Especially Hare in my Soup. Roger being a waiter I think has a lot of comedic potential. And it's all because Eisner chose to have Roller Coaster Rabbit play before Dick Tracy in theaters, instead of Arachnophobia, like Spielberg wanted.

Obviously though, you haven't seen the film, because I quoted a line from it, and you didn't know where the line was from, but seeing how you've reblogged so many various posts having to do with that movie, that's a sign that you might actually enjoy that movie.
Well... I honestly would recommend it, because it might honestly be the best thing The Muppets have ever done. And that's saying a lot. I honestly think it's better than The Muppet Movie. Even though I do really like The Muppet Movie, you can sort of tell that that movie was sort of an audacious experiment, like they weren't quite sure if it was going to work, so that had a couple of safeguards in, like... Jim Henson had never directed a movie before, so they brought in James Frawley to direct, and apparently he didn't really get along with The Muppeteers, so it was sort of a pretentious shoot. And I think they were a little bit concerned about doing too many forth wall jokes, and even though I do really like the film, it does have too many cameos in it, to the point where they sort of bog the film down. Sure, there are some good cameos in that movie like from Steve Martin and so forth, but Richard Pryor's in the film, and he literally has nothing do do.
But because it was so successful, The Muppet people were given a lot more creative freedom with Great Muppet Caper, and Henson was actually allowed to direct it. It was the first film he directed, as well as the only Muppet film he ever directed. They also were allowed to do more meta/forth wall humor.
