Lee: As always, when I need very clear and concise direction you are always On Point. I picked up another Traraus X9D transmitter. Copied over all of my existing models per your instructions worked perfect. Next was I have a lot of TBS receivers in a bunch of my quads. Watched your video in ten minuets all were up and running on both transmitters Bravo ! Great work as always Ben Herr - USA
OMG this was SO much more clearer than all the other tutorials I tried to follow! The id explanation was very useful to get an understanding of how te user id takes over the regular rx/tx id.
Few points related to full size module that are not mentioned in video. First, full size crossfire keeps the WiFi module in the JR bay adapter. If you plan to run fullsize crossfire with Spektrum DX9 radio with JR adapter removed, like me, you have to first activate TBS cloud in some JR bay enabled radio. Second, full size CRSF module does come with super old wifi firmware, that makes the wifi not show up in AgentX or LUA script menu. You have to power up the module via JR bay, connect to wifi access point transmitted by the module, and upload new firmware directly to the module to enable TBS cloud.
Thank you for continuing to put out videos. They are always helpful. I reached out and asked you about TBS crossfire. I looked at the videos you suggested and I was able to make a decision! Now I'm pouring over your pixhawk series.
Just got the Radiomaster TX16S with Crossfire Starterkit (TX module + 3 receivers), but had not been thinking about getting a second TX module ... but really good to know that this is a kind of matrix or better multibind. Good explanation of a really well though cloud service that really makes sense to be stored in the cloud to get it all running and to keep it running even in case of a broken or even stolen transmitter cause that seems to be covered too. Our Smarthome has such a feature if a component would die. Then you can select the dead component in the Browser Interface and use a "replace function", which will copy the dead's config onto the new replacement unit and where you then can delete the old, broken one. Works really great instead of a new binding and all the stuff. Thanks
It's even easier now. Plug each TX module into Agent X and enable "Multi Bind" in radio settings for each. Power on the "Master" TX module (one already bound to a model) and power up the RX and make sure you get solid green light for the bind (now Master has sent the cloud ID for multi bind to RX". Power down master TX and power up second TX and check it binds to the model. Repeat for other RX units.
I’ve spent all weekend trying to get this working on an xlite (nano tx) and an x7 (micro tx v2). I’m using the latest opentx 2.3.11, tbs 4.10, Wi-Fi 1.17, receiver 4.10... and I’ve even tried the tbs nightly build with no joy. Wi-Fi is connected and the server status says it’s online. Still doesn’t get the user id and therefore cannot turn multibind on. Also worth noting that when the crossfire module is plugged via USB the crossfire lua scripts don’t run properly. I would love to see a tutorial on an older model... so far all the tutorials are on the Tx16s, tango or a high end frsky.
Great video. Very good explanation. What TBS receiver would you recommend for an Align TREX 500XT with a BD AXON FBL paired with a Radiomaster TX16S? Thanks.
I have 6 drones with a crossfire V2 and now I just bought a tango 2 pro v3 to use in multibind with the 6 drones, do I have to update the wifi on the crossfire v2 and the tango 2? Now everything is linked to the crossfire by the normal method, are the 6 drones linked at once because they are already in the crossfire v2? I have not found any video on youtube that clarifies it.
Bonjour, belle présentation comme toujours, juste une question, ma radiomaster tx16s le bouton MDL et le bouton télémétrie on la même fonction, ça peut se régler ??
For whatever reason, I cant get my Tango 2 to bind after setting every thing up. Wifi versions are the same. I see the same user ID's on my Qx7 TX v2 and Tango 2, but if I shut off the Qx7 and then power on the Tango, my quad just beeps and the Tango doesnt auto bind?
Really didn’t understand the part about if a RX is already bound but I want rebind it with multi bind. Could you do a video actually showing the process?
If the RX is already bound then changing from multibind (or back) will not require a rebind as the RX is told about the change and reconnects after a short delay using the new mode. Give it a try.... Happy flying
I am thinking about buying a TBS Tango 2, this will be my second radio ever! will I need to copy models from the radio master some how when I enable multibind or will 1 model work with all of them? trying to wrap my head around how multibind works with multiple quads and multiple radios
The multibind will let you bind both radios to the same model but you will still need the same model settings on the radio so you'll have to copy or recreate the model setup. I use the same model file for all of my quads here and that speeds things up.
I might have missed it in the video but what version of Open-TX is needed? Had issues with this between my Tango II Pro and my Tanaris X9D with the Crossfire v2. Finally after 3 months of e-mailing with TBS support, I got the answer that I had to be on nightly build to get it working, so I put the whole thing on ice for now.
I have question that I cannot seem to find the answer to. My son has a TX16S with XF Micro TX. I have a TX16S with a XF TX Lite. All of our 10+ aircraft are set up for multi-bind on the same user ID. Can we both fly together at the same time in the same area? If not, what is the workaround? When we tried it both radios were fighting for the same aircraft once one of the two aircraft was powered down. My guess would be no, but you could: Connect each A/C (with multi-bind on). Disable multi-bind. Disconnect (power down), and then reconnect/rebind with multi-bind off. Would both radios need to disable multi-bind (so that we could fly together), or just one of us? The goal is to completely avoid manually rebinding if possible. Thanks!
This is my first time hearing about this. So if tbs has a cloud and your account has its own id associated to it, am I correct in thinking that if your drones were stolen and then plugged into another account somewhere tbs would be able to assist you in locating this model? They probably wouldn't do that, but it would be possible......?
Very good. If I’m correct this gives ability for multiple TX to bind with a one RX, yes ? Help please…. The Application I’m developing is where from one radio I wish to have the ability to bind (on demand, one at a time only !) to multiple receivers. Example. Drive a car A from home point to position X, then switch to car B and drive to position Y etc etc … up to six different cars. And thinking radio master T8 Pro for that to Flysky receivers. Possible ?
Hello, one question that I have no answer, for long range +50km, what is better vtx circular antenna 4.25db and on diversity rx one 14db circular and other 23db linear or vtx linear antenna 2db and on diversity rx both 23db, also every setup on antenna tracker, thank you, my kind regards
I have been trying for what seems like forever to get the orange light on each device in agent x to go green but it won’t do it. Any ideas on what to try?
I've had issues with some of the computers here and gave up trying to get it figured out. I disabled AV and loads of things with support from the TBS guys but no luck..
I got same id and mutibind enabled on both Radiomaster and tango2. Rx is bound to tango 2. But whichi poweroff thango. Radiomaster is nor bound on the rx. But both radio share same id now?
@@Painless360I flhashed new firmware again on both radio now Wifi is not getting connected on tango. Iam not getting the id. So we need to bind the rx first and then connect wify?
Very nice information. I have 4 drones with tbs nano rx and 1 tango 2 tx. Is there a way in which I can fly all 4 with the same tx without manually binding? I want to fly them one at a time only, not together. I was thinking that is there a way in which I could manually bind all 4 once to the same tx and then select to which rx the tx will talk to with some button or some gui or script or something.. any way out to do this?
What you want to do is standard stuff and doesn't require anything special to work. Binding the reciever is a one time thing and you can bind many recievers to your radio. Once it's bound you don't need to do it again. You can bind multiple recievers to the Crossfire module. Multibind is for when you want to bind to recievers with multiple Crossfire modules.. Happy flying
@@Painless360 Thanks for the reply. You mean to say that if I bind multiple receivers to the same tango once, then they all will be able to receive the signals without binding again right?
