- Dozens of students walked out of a commencement ceremony on Sunday at Duke University, North Carolina, to protest against the presence of the comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who has supported Israel throughout the war in Gaza.

@@NoWindNoSunNoPower You know the ICJ has several years before it can determine whether it's a genocide or not. For now we can only say that it could be plausible to say that genocide may be happening (key word on the may be). Until then, the ICJ did provide some provisional measures, that Israel doesn't respect at all for the moment, so that Israel has a less likely chance of being accused of it.

If people really want to talk about genocide, let's talk about what is happening in Dafur in Sudan. There is ethnic cleansing of non-Arab civilian in that region. 300 000 have been killed. About 3 million people have been displaced. Why don't we care about that?
So if, for example, there are 6 murders in one day in a city, do you criticize the police for going after the killers one at a time? By that logic, you would never be able to do ANYTHING if there exist more than one instance of it.
That's awful but is the US government funding their weapons program to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars? One of these countries has US sanctions, one hasn't... not only that but they have the green light to keep doing it!

Which theoretically their tuition paid for.
