On behalf of the people and the State of Alabama, I hereby present you with the coveted Honorary Red Neck Card, together with all right and privileges thereto. Seriously, I enjoyed watching you do things. You are real.
Evan, if one 44’ frame length is enough to span across that section of your pond, why not weld the two sections back together once both sections are in place. It will make your fishing bridge wider and safer and able to accommodate more folks for a fishing gathering. You might want to rent or buy a used band mill to provide the wood surface. You sure have plenty of trees. Oak would be a good source as it ages real well.. looking forward to seeing what you decide on and build.
Back in the 80s my uncle used the frame of an old box truck from the 1960s to build a round bale trailer after my grandfather bought a Deutz-Allis round baler
Maybe without all the rub you normally put on then you are actually tasting the meat - a unique experience to most people who usually over-rub and over-smoke their meat!
One of those frames would make a nice round bale wagon all you would need is probably different axles and it looks like the bales would fit right on it cut them in half and make a couple
If you find the pork shoulder to be a little dry, try putting some butter or barbeque sauce on the outside surfaces when the internal temperature reaches 160 F, and then wrap it with foil for the remainder of the cooking time to 190-200 F
Hey Evan. That was my idea 💡 too. Just weld metal planks together. We did it in the military too. 🪖😁🏞⛓️⛓️🪜🪜🏞🎣🐟❤😎👍Great Farm videos 📹 ❤ trailer rails will work 👌
You two live so awesomely! My wife and I are building a timber frame home in rural TN on18 acres. We presently are in MD. It is a long distance relationship with the builder and some serious trust and integrity. I can only hope that when it is all done we enjoy the rural life as much as you guys do. Hope you're up on your tetanus shot Evan. That trailer was screaming "let me scratch you with my rust"!
Glad you are the guinea pig for the mobile home frame for a bridge Evan. I've been thinking about the same thing for a creek on our property. Ours is way harder to get to but hopefully it works out
The trailer frame/s should make a good bridge, with small pontoons under it or however you're going to suspend it above the water. And then build a covered shelter maybe in the middle of it, would make a good little fishing spot.
Hey Evan , don’t forget that Murphy’s Law sometimes works in reverse !,! I admit that it is very occasionally, well, almost never, but you don’t know until you try.. good luck with the bridge .
Looks like a promising use for the trailer frame. Pretty ingenious method to move it. It would have been nice to slide the small tube out intact, but chances are really high it was rusted tight and would have had to be cut anyway. That pork looks really tasty. Unfortunately, my dear wife doesn't do well with red meat so we don't have it all that often. Plus my heart doctor is on a more vegetarian lifestyle kick. I still have meat from time to time.
Evan, I seem to draw blood every time I do any work at my place, either on thorns, sharp rocks, cedar tree bark, or anything else I get around. You seem to have a knack for coming up with ideas on the fly. Good job. Enjoy that pork, looks great.
Deck the bridge with heavy thick wood. My mom went to move her 20-year-old mobile home to a different park and 2 miles down the road it broke in half. The frames are not very strong and need the support of strong decking.
Don’t cut it short my friend. Keep as much length as you can, for the ends to be securely on both banks where you are putting the bridge. Nice project.
Can't wait to see the fishing bridge come together. What a great idea to make a real unique addition to the farm. Perhaps the extra Steel could be welded to form a sitting bench or fishing pole railing.
I m happy see you again. I stop watching your videos because I’ve been busy and I happy see you working in your range. Look very nice. You range hello from Santa Fe New Mexico.
I like your ingenuity for figuring out how to move those frames. That one frame will probably make a fine bridge on your pond. The smoked pork looks delicious!
I didn’t realize this old mobile home was still on the farm. I thought you had gotten rid of all the old stuff. I sure hope it works for you. I wondered where your side kick was , didn’t see her, then she popped up on the eye in the sky. God bless, love you guys.
Just a few things, I think I would use the ibeams to make a floating dock between the land masses by using plastic 55 gal drums. Keep your I beems put your plank between and put your drums underneath .
Was sitting here watching this just before I go to bed, and you got me salivating watching you eat that pork Roast. i could almost taste it with you. nuts! now I have to go get a midnight snack! thanks for sharing. ECF
During warm days, many fish of all sizes will gather under the bridge for shade & cooler water. Try routinely dropping bread crumbs, it will become a feeding frenzy, but not food value. I did this to monitor size of fish & population, plus it is amusing.
That pipe between the front and back axles is called a "reach". There should have been a single hole in the back frame to run a bolt through. You could see the holes in the back end of the reach. That's how you were supposed to adjust the length of the wagon. Hope you can put it back that way when you're done with this project.
Hi from the UK, have you got Kate Middleton hidden away there lol. You clever man dismantling and moving the chasse. well done, looking forward to watching you build the bridge. Its a good job you married a Nurse, your accident prone lol.
We smoke our pork shoulder with minimal seasoning and flavor it later when we are ready to eat it. It gets used for bbq sandwiches or seasoned with Mexican spices.
if you want to use all of the frame you could cut it and make it Arched a little bit or you may want to take part of the I beam and weld it vertically in the middle as a piling, the triangle side s could be cut off and placed upright as posts for a rail along the side , are you going to want to run your mover across it or 4 wheelers, ect???? have fun doing it whatever you choose!
Looks like you upgraded to some Milwaukee cordless tools. Good choice. I love my fuel 1/2 inch full torque impact. Nothing fails to come loose with it.
Good thinking on the trailer frame, I may have to barrow that idea. I like how your hay fork converts, good looking pork shoulder, sometimes it's best to cook those with no seasoning, brings out the flavor, making me hungry. Good luck on your bridge in the pond. I hope you have a great Friday!
That's an awesome idea with the bridge best of luck, can't wait to see it from plan to finish products. I love those dogwood trees those things smell so good
I've got an idea Rebecca is a good cook. The brdge your going to build can't just rely on the ends being on dry land to support heavy weight. I'm telling you something you already know I'm sure.
Hey guys another great vid. What's the plan to span the water? You thinking boat dock floats or something else? I freaking love how close your pond is to the house...sure wish mine was..lol. Yeah I'm jealous 😂. Much love y'all..stay safe
Nice job moving the frames, I am sure you will check this out before you start or cutting or driving anything over your bridge, but ... look up the allowable loads for different spans of (what looks like 8" c-channel?). Don't forget to calculate the weight of your decking either. mobile homes always seem kind of bouncy when you walk in them, and this one had 3 piers on each side.
I had that same idea till all my research come up with mobile home frames are really weak. You prob be fine if it’s just people walking over it but I wouldn’t drive anything over it unless you got a lot of support under it. Maybe a lawnmower or small four wheeler at most. Maybe you can take the 4 beams out of both and make one little stronger Im excited to see it!
On behalf of the people and the State of Alabama, I hereby present you with the coveted Honorary Red Neck Card, together with all right and privileges thereto.
Seriously, I enjoyed watching you do things. You are real.
The pellet company should send you a bunch of free pellets for the nice ad you gave them 😊
I'd be welding those two frames back to back to give Y'all extra strength. You'd be able to drive the quad across
I recommend welding one frame on top of the other for greater strength and stability.
Make the bridge more stable.
No driving or operating heavy equipment until the pellets/smoke wears off. Enjoying the channel. Tks for sharing.
Evan, if one 44’ frame length is enough to span across that section of your pond, why not weld the two sections back together once both sections are in place. He still couldn't drive across on anything heavier then a side by side or zero turn mower
Your cooking is making me hunger for meat
Parts of those I Beams can be welded INTO a bandsaw mill itself. He's got a great start to a home build mill
Love your ingenuity. This is what our country was built on❤
Evan you are turning into a real farm fabricator with all the extra parts and pieces you have around
Hi.... Evan and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
You and Rebekah make an amazing team! Love your videos!
I have a neighbor that made a bale trailer out of an old trailerhouse frame. It worked pretty good.
Evan see if you can find some plastic 55 gallon drums to attach to the frame so you can float the frame out to the island .
Good idea. Thanks.
Back in the 80s my uncle used the frame of an old box truck from the 1960s to build a round bale trailer after my grandfather bought a Deutz-Allis round baler
The bridge will be very nice, so far You are doing a great job on it !Now You have made Me very hungry !! I LOVE YOU GUYS !!!! 🥰 🥰
Just when I think I’ve had a productive day I have to watch Evan blow me out of the water 😂
Looking forward to the upcoming project with the trailer frame/s. It will be very interesting. 💕🎶
Can't wait to see the finished bridge. I think you should put the two back together to make a wide bridge and maybe put a gazebo on it.
Absolutely love the idea of the bridge out of something found on the property. Like it was just meant to be. Can't wait to see how you get it done.
Maybe without all the rub you normally put on then you are actually tasting the meat - a unique experience to most people who usually over-rub and over-smoke their meat!
Always entertaining watching your videos I enjoy farming vicariously through you and your wife I am truly envious
I grew up in the Midwest with these “country style” pork ribs. Been following you for years and that really hit home!
Evan and Rebekah would be awesome neighbors. I could see my wife and I hanging out with them all the time!
Interesting video Evan with the pellets and moving the trailer frame, I think it will work out well over the pond
I am very Happy with the work you have done so you can work the other land!!!
One of those frames would make a nice round bale wagon all you would need is probably different axles and it looks like the bales would fit right on it cut them in half and make a couple

"You'd think I'd learn"...The story of my life :)
Smells so good great lunch and dinner!!!!!
YOU are AMAZING 😮

Welcome to the Import Club! We have been here(from Eastern VA ) for 20 years and love it!
Yes I can remember watching that video mate hope you and your wife and family and your friends are doing well god bless you all.
Glad you are the guinea pig for the mobile home frame for a bridge Evan. I've been thinking about the same thing for a creek on our property. Ours is way harder to get to but hopefully it works out
Great idea for the trailer chassis. Pork roast looks yummy
The trailer frame/s should make a good bridge, with small pontoons under it or however you're going to suspend it above the water. And then build a covered shelter maybe in the middle of it, would make a good little fishing spot.
I usually wrap my pork when it hits 165F or so and let it cook until it hits 185-195. It turns out very juicy.
Hi Evan, hope you had a Tetanus Vaccination. Good for 5 years. Rebecca should be able to advise. Good to have a nurse around the house 😊 Take care
Evan, u had two axles, use the other one for the other trailer frame. if u don't have anymore tires, take-off the other tires. the meat looked great..
Love the videos guys.
I can’t wait to see you build that bridge
Good luck with the bridge!
You know you have done a good job on the pit when you don't need BBQ sauce. In central Texas we get off need if you ask for sauce.
Now that you have the backhoe I'd dig the corner of your bankbarn out to fix the water problem in back. Some pvc with gravel on top would help.
Hey Evan , don’t forget that Murphy’s Law sometimes works in reverse !,! I admit that it is very occasionally, well, almost never, but you don’t know until you try.. good luck with the bridge .
Good job salvaging n repurposing. Looking forward to the bridge project

Pork isn’t considered red meat.
@@ruadhscottygirl2480 , tell my doc. She does.

The frame should make a great bridge the other could make a dock going out into the pond
That pork looked amazing
Keep up the great work you both do
We had country style ribs for supper. We found a crock pit recipe and man, were they good.
I m happy see you again. I stop watching your videos because I’ve been busy and I happy see you working in your range. Look very nice. You range hello from Santa Fe New Mexico.
Love when you add cooking videos!
Sure does look good. Thanks for eating in front of us.😉
I like your ingenuity for figuring out how to move those frames. That one frame will probably make a fine bridge on your pond.
The smoked pork looks delicious!
This looks like a great form for the bridge. Also a very unique way of moving it. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
I didn’t realize this old mobile home was still on the farm. I thought you had gotten rid of all the old stuff. I sure hope it works for you. I wondered where your side kick was , didn’t see her, then she popped up on the eye in the sky. God bless, love you guys.
Good vlog guys all I think about when I watch yous is that you are living the dream
I used a trailer frame to bridge a pond spillway. I bolted 2 x 6's to the frame & screwed my decking to those.
Just a few things, I think I would use the ibeams to make a floating dock between the land masses by using plastic 55 gal drums. Keep your I beems put your plank between and put your drums underneath .

It’s good you have your own personal nurse to patch you up.
During warm days, many fish of all sizes will gather under the bridge for shade & cooler water. Try routinely dropping bread crumbs, it will become a feeding frenzy, but not food value. I did this to monitor size of fish & population, plus it is amusing.

Love your ideas for the bridge made out of old frame. Can’t wait to see you guys sitting out there of an evening with your fishing gear. Good job!!
Thanks for watching your good video...
Get some plastic containers and float your bridge over there and see if you can get it about were you want it or close too it
Terrific idea about using the trailer frame and your timing in moving it when you did.
Need to put some braising liquid in when wrapping meats to cook so it gets tender and doesn’t dry out. Steams it
It's going to be fun. just saying
Hi from the UK, have you got Kate Middleton hidden away there lol. You clever man dismantling and moving the chasse. well done, looking forward to watching you build the bridge. Its a good job you married a Nurse, your accident prone lol.

yes I did. I have 3 Milwaukee tools right now, and will slowly get more.

Great Job guys!😇!😇!
Wow! Did not know you had a cemetery so near! How old? Neat!
Yes, the cemetery is kinda within our property boundry, but it's not our property. It is a neat old cemetery. From around 1860 to early 1900s.
If your going to continue to round bale you can make a real nice trailer for moving bales with part of one of those trailer frames
I had mentioned that in a previous video some time ago, thinking the same thing for a bridge for me!
You my mouth water with them ribs 😊 That frame looks too light for a bridge
Have you thought about using one of the trailer frames for the ceiling of the new wood shed ?
Vestil Adjustable Plate and Slab Dolly with Pneumatic Wheels
It looks like a candy glaze. Very interesting
That was fun to watch❤❤❤❤
Hey guys another great vid. What's the plan to span the water? You thinking boat dock floats or something else? I freaking love how close your pond is to the house...sure wish mine was..lol. Yeah I'm jealous 😂. Much love y'all..stay safe

Got the front row , wraped up in my lap robe , its cod here in Fl, enjoying watching u work. Souds like u have a good grill.
Ya thanks for having us all drooling on our key board, Pork look so good, great job pulling the trailer frame, will be nice bridge some day
Thanks Guys

Interesting and the wine oak sound so magic
The remaining frame must be used to build a castle for Princess Maya. Something befitting her regal stature. 🤣🤣
You need to brine the country style ribs in Kosher salt and brown sugar fpr 8-24 hours
. I'm bining some today.
the bridge will be a fun project to watch ... can't wait
