So, it’s 6 o’clock and I’ve got 6 more piles of branches, so I’ll just put in another days work and call it a day…. Evan, you just crack me up! I would love to have your energy!
Just thinking that, if Ellie is still trying to get through the sheep gate, you might install a board to split the opening in half vertically. Should still be plenty wide enough for the sheep but I'd bet that would really discourage Ellie from even trying. Just a thought from a non-farmer/rancher guy who doesn't know much but.... 🤷♂...lol.
You are certainly getting your exercise this year. Doing well. And getting the pines trimmed was a good idea. It will be interesting to see how your ducklings make out. Love the critters. Know how Rebecca feels about them. We adopted the neighbors outside cat when they moved and were going to put her in the pound. Couldn't take her inside at that time, so my husband built a well insulated 1.5' square house with an small windowed addition. We even heated it just enough to be safe for her. She would sit in the little addition and watch for anything coming her way and then would chase them away. We later moved her inside and I figured that she was 21 when she passed away.
Maybe you can put something small in where the ducks are going to be and fill it with water sho they can swim and play, thats what they like to do.Thanks for your videos.
Add some holes around the bottom half of your burn barrel with a pick axe. That will allow more oxygen to get in there and the wood will burn hotter/faster 👍
Nice work Evan Rebecca. Think id put a board at the bottom that the sheep can go over but she will not be able to go through. Enjoyed your video have a great day both of you.
Try triangle fence posts to keep the cows out. Two posts near enough for one person to go through with a third post in the middle about 18” away from first two. This allows people and dogs and sheep through but not cows and horse. Eventually stops pigs too. Bests opening and closing a fence.
Wow, what a productive weekend. The view line does look much better after trimming some of the lower limbs. You can always get the rest on another weekend. In 2-3 years. JK! 👍👍👍
1. Put a pool noodle on that bottom board so that she doesn’t hurt herself if she continues trying to do the limbo. 2. Look thru Shawn James My Self Reliance in Muskoka ON about 2 1/2 years ago; he did the mushroom logs & it took 2 years to produce. Looking good!!🇨🇦
Ellie and Maya are some really cute looking heifers, the Jersey cattle a sweet looking in my opinion. You and Rebekah are really getting the place looking great, love what you two are doing. Thanks for sharing, I hope you two have a wonderful week!
Great Video. Place is really shaping up....the Animals are funny....Get those Safety glasses on it only takes a second to cause serious injuries......😊
Looks great Rebecca and Evan, got a lot done around there and the place shows your hard work and how much you care for your animals. Hope your wild duck becomes a big brother to a bunch of the new to hatch ducklings and does a great job helping them grow safely. Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and have a great last day of the Memorial Day weekend. Fred.
Evan, that rotted trailer, I hope you took some measurements of the deck. That way, in the winter, you can have another build job. Best wishes from the North.
I'm very impressed with how much work you get done in a day, and film it and edit it Into a video. I hope people really realize how much effort goes into making the video on top of the actual work! You guys are awesome!!!
Run a short extension to the electric fence under the board half inch space is all that is needed. Three or 4 tries and she's get the message, Take it down in 2 weeks.
Have you thought about renting a stump grinder for a day and grinding out the stumps around the farm? Especially for areas you mow, for a few hundred bucks it would give you peace of mind and eliminate any hazards.
You could use all the large barrels you have to make at the simplest a TLUD gassifier to make biochar for use as soil improvement, carbon sequestration, water purification and more. Look up biochar. It might reduce the CO2 you release with every burn pile you use.....
JudithB I can work most of the day and maybe finish the project. Sure doesnt seem like much accomplished, but spendng all day doing little projects makes a big difference!!! LOL! Sometimes I will just decide to do all the little projects that stack up while working on a big project so I feel like I am getting somethng done!!! LOL!!! I am still working in the garden and its looking much better, but a lot to do in there. My driveway is a wreck with all the storms coming through so may have to stop and concentrate on that. I would prune those pines up enough that the tractor can go under them, less of a fire hazzard too!
As far as the old wood wagon, I would have replaced all the old would with pressure treated lumber to make a new wagon for hauling debris, branches, weeds on?
Acid bath the rust off the gas tank with heavy vinegar for a few days the, steam, pressure clean inside and out. Air pressure out water left overs inside tank a pressure seal test the structure of that tank before you put gas in it, you know all this, color-bright red. Label. Sand bucket for over flow spills.
We did not like that loose piece anyways. Put it somewhere where it is near the tank , another tree, down don’t you like where any of them are. For mushroom. Wow. Ok for the fence line, and make the pines tree taller. But don’t cut them out, that is nice tfor the front entrance. Some branches may revive and grow again.
Hey Evan, place is looking good. I wanted to tell you, you should go up about two feet higher on those pine trees. There is still a lot of bare branches and you could mow under them if you do. How you doing on the barn yard runoff problem?
Hey Evan. Was that a pun ? Just winging it. I mean duck wing humor. Hehe. Duck and Turkeys living together. Oh no 😎🤔😁😆🪽🪚🪜🦆❤🦃🦃🦃 FYI please wear safety glasses 👓🪚🪜👀😎👌
If she crawls through put a 6 inch board on bottom. I had a similar problem once and that stopped it
What if you put a board across the bottom?
You and your wife are too of the hardest working people this farm shows!
I don't think Rebecca has ever said," that's man's work." She just pitches in and does it.
So, it’s 6 o’clock and I’ve got 6 more piles of branches, so I’ll just put in another days work and call it a day….
Evan, you just crack me up!
I would love to have your energy!
Evan, you are making the farm look better and better everyday and you will have the best looking farm in the area.
🤷♂...lol.
Hi, Evan and Rebekah! Y’all did a lot of work on this video. You work so well together.
Clearing land to make it beautiful is hard work. Your property is getting better every day!
You are certainly getting your exercise this year. Doing well. And getting the pines trimmed was a good idea. It will be interesting to see how your ducklings make out.

You should put a board across the bottom of the sheep opening. The sheep will step over it and Elly wont be able to crawl through.. hopefully.
What a good idea!!
Hi..... Evan and Rebecca thank you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
And no pun intended... "just wingin' it".
Nice work Evan Rebecca. Think id put a board at the bottom that the sheep can go over but she will not be able to go through. Enjoyed your video have a great day both of you.

The animals will appreciate the clean up around the pines. Looks like a cared for property
Wow, what a productive weekend. The view line does look much better after trimming some of the lower limbs. You can always get the rest on another weekend. In 2-3 years. JK! 👍👍👍
I put the limbs I trim in my pasture and let our sheep eat on them a few days to save our pasture grass a bit.
When I want to do something then I find I have to fix something else and so on. Never getting the first part done at all.
Agreed with the pine trees although they do tend to make a very large pile to haul away
You work so hard to keep your place looking good , & it shows !! I LOVE YOU BOTH !!! 🥰🥰
Next time Ellie will try it wearing a sheep-costume...😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻

Good for you Evan, you well deserve the time off. God knows you out in the hours. Great place your two are building there.
Country View Acres, This is perfect! I subscribed right away!
Evan is on holiday!
Y'all did accomplish a lot today and trimming up the pine trees does look better. Great job. Have a Blessed day.
Everything is looking great, guys! ❤
Wow
Limb-up everything to 8 feet- gives plenty of room to get the tractor under them. I do that with my Colorado Blue Spruce and all the cedars and oaks
Awesome work Evan…bonus, you didn’t break anything. 👍🏻
Well done, Evan and Rebekah!
How about going fishing tomorrow. You deserve a relaxing fay
Good for you. Enjoy your videos
I just plugged up my own shitaki logs 4 days ago. I'm excited to see how it works out.
Looks great Rebecca and Evan, got a lot done around there and the place shows your hard work and how much you care for your animals. Take the day off tomorrow, you deserve it 👍
Nice video. Thanks
Good job! You certainly did accomplish a lot!
Those pine trees look fantastic 👌
Hi Evan, we band the lambs about three to four days old. A Lot simpler when they are that young
As long as both testicles are descended. We found a couple buck kids that weren’t.
Evan, that rotted trailer, I hope you took some measurements of the deck. That way, in the winter, you can have another build job.
Best wishes from the North.
Thank you so much for sharing! Have a blessed day!
Things are looking really great 👍

Lions mane will gown on oak as well
Run a short extension to the electric fence under the board half inch space is all that is needed. Three or 4 tries and she's get the message, Take it down in 2 weeks.
Put a 2x4 on the bottom also, that will keep Elly from getting on her knees and scooting under the top boards.
You guys should make a video of mowing your lawn again
An easy day of relaxing and maybe fishing
If you want a good mushroom UA-cam video watch Shawn Janes from a few years ago. Looking good
I sub to him. Great channel.
yes you got a lot done today and you have a great weekend and take a day or 2 and rest and later
Obviously, the trimming of the Pines was a big job but WOW what a difference.
If there was some way to put a piece of shock wire at the top of that sheep gate...and I like the suggestion too of narrowing it.
👍 thanks
Have you thought about renting a stump grinder for a day and grinding out the stumps around the farm? Especially for areas you mow, for a few hundred bucks it would give you peace of mind and eliminate any hazards.
You should rebuild that hay wagon using pipe
You could use all the large barrels you have to make at the simplest a TLUD gassifier to make biochar for use as soil improvement, carbon sequestration, water purification and more. Look up biochar. It might reduce the CO2 you release with every burn pile you use.....
Your videos are so enjoyable, my wife and I really enjoyable.
I want to do the mushroom project as well. I will watch to see how it goes. I know it will be a while.
Would of been nice to have 5hp chipper/shedder on hand. The chips are more useful than a cloud of smoke.
Enjoy tomorrow!! ❤❤
Well, that was a full productive day!
Try narrowing the opening
Great to see you back mate all the best to everyone
JudithB I can work most of the day and maybe finish the project. Sure doesnt seem like much accomplished, but spendng all day doing little projects makes a big difference!!! LOL! If you have any more of that black rust proofing paint I would paint that fuel storage tank. Jim80
Good idea for diesel fuel, but not for gasoline.
You need to trim the pine trees so Rebecca can get the lawn mower up under them. Get the weeds out and grow some grass.
Cleaning up the pine trees was a good idea because when we went past your estate with the celebrity tour bus it didn’t look very well. Ha ha
As far as the old wood wagon, I would have replaced all the old would with pressure treated lumber to make a new wagon for hauling debris, branches, weeds on?
Nice job on the trees.
Looking good 👍🏻.
You are making your property look so good !
"Crappy days"! LOVE IT!
Ellie certainly thinks outside the box ❤❤❤
👍👍👍👍👍👌Wow very busy video great teamwork and presentation everything looking very good!!!
Thanks for another great video!
Nice job! Looking good!
Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Check that pine for fat wood.
You should trim up the pine limbs higher up so you can drive the tractor under the trees and the limbs won't hit you in the face.
How about a pond update. Is Rebecca catching any?
Thanks for the video.

You betcha!
Love watching you work on your tree's.
thx
Looking good my friend

Daniel from Arms homestead you tube he has diesel tank on truck he gets filled for his Riggs he uses

Looks great brother hard work paying off

Cleaning upit what we do!!!! Give your little duck some water to play in.
Good wotk sir. Looks great.
Hey somebody got a sledgehammer for Father's Day.
Hope you are going to clean out that fuel tank and I’d put a good filter on it anyway.
Where are your start cutting hay again
Buy a shredder for limps. Then turn to compost
