During Ramadan since people don't eat anything pretty much the whole day, haleem is what they eat as their only meal of the day. This is why it has grains, rice and meat and ghee everything in one.

there are so many biryanis ,Hyderabad firewood cooked biryani is good others are all normal. my favorite biryani is "star ambur biryani" ,thalapakkatti biryani and thalassery biryani . each of this biryani taste very different and all are awesome in their own unique taste

Just FYI lot of foreigners think that Indian food is not that healthy just by looking at all the oil. But actually it is not a refined oil (which is not good for health ofcourse) but that's ghee which is a diary product made from the fats you extract from milk which is lot healthier than refined oil, I'd rather say incomparable. One spoon of ghee contains around 5 gram of fat but lot of healthier things like omega 3, omega 6 etc
All the Food items showcased will take 4-5 hrs of preparation and cooked heated super high temperatures with years of experience..
Fortunate to be a Hyderabadi myself and tasted all.
If you make it with less fat it is healthy. It's mutton , with a variety of healthy lentils and pulses. Healthy garlic ginger and spices.
Ramadan festival ki best part in my point is haleem I just love the taste amazing 😋😋

Eventhough Hyderabad is technically located in South India, the muslim culture there draws significant influences from the north. And it's not just the food, I believe there is a Deccani variant of Hindustani too that is being spoken there. As far as I know, Deccan expeditions of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb caused an influx of north indians in the south, who eventually settled in Hyderabad, and later flourished into their own sub-culture during the Nizami period [although there were other significant expeditions by former muslim sultans too, like Alauddin Khilji(villain from Padmavat)] . This makes Hyderabad like an island of North India, surrounded by a sea of South India. Really interesting.

@@PrudhviYendluri Dehlavi or Hindavi spoken around Delhi is thought to be the predecessor of Deccani. Also Biryani is a mughal dish. Nizams arose only after the fall of mughals.
Although I do agree Deccan had a distinct muslim culture since Delhi Sultanate times. Bahmanids were Persian with distinct culture. Aurangzeb's conquest led to merging of local, native muslim and north indian muslim cultures, which forms the basis of modern Hyderabad
Also I am not talking about local Telangani/Andhra culture. That has nothing to do with the north

I am from assam, And I am surprised that this year we are getting a lot of attention in our every year flood problem. We are facing this problem from centuries. But this year we are recognised as Indian and world is slowly knowing about us. I really thank our new CM, BJP for their media management and show the world that natural disasters happens to us too and we are facing the same problem like mumbai Chennai kochi, bihar and other part of india as well. Please help us generously, we together can make world a better place

The history of dum biryani with baygen ki chatni and curd was started cause of Hyderabadies taste, we hyderabadies do love only 2 things in our meal 1 spicy and the other Sour , there's no place for sweet in biryani or any kind of meal, so due to different taste the also provid baygen ki chatni for all rhose spicy lovers and curd for sour lovers
Even the Veg version of Biryani (yes, veg biryani. It exists, deal with it. No, it’s not pulav. Pulav has different flavours) in Hyderabad is quite nice.
Pakistan we use barley flour or barley with daal and meat for haleem
The flavour and taste is amazing. I make this every 2 weeks as my husband loves it. My daughter does not like chilli but when she eats this, she does not care about the spice, she loves it...alhamdullah
