Oh the nostalgia.. I played all of those. To this day I maintain that Atari 800 had one of the best 8-bit music I ever heard.

hahah Atari ,dobre stare czasy , ja mące na oryginalnym c64 ale atarynka dalej pozostaje w moim sercu , piękna muzyka ,wyobraźnia która zastępowała najlepszą wirtualną rzeczywistość dzisiejszych gier , wypełnialiśmy braki w grafice własną głową :) To najlepsza maszyna !

Game was great, music even better. Yet so hard I couldn't get any far in it. ;)
Polske produkcje mają fajną muzykę. Dwie wieże czy Fred - można słuchać nawet bez grania. No i Yoomp! gdzie cała gra odbywa się w rytm bardzo przyjemnej muzyki. Ta ostatnia powstała kilka miesięcy przed Twoim video. :)
Man I always have a soft spot for atari music. It just floods me with nostalgic feeling and I love it. I want to make this kind of music now so I think I am.

Nice job. Although I'm biased towards pre-'88 games.
My personal Top 10 would be:
1. M.U.L.E. (an undisputed 1st place in my list)
2. The Goonies (great adaptation from the movie tune)
3. Crumble's Crisis (great music, tough game!)
4. Ninja (what else could I add on this one? Would load just to listen to the tune from time to time..)
5. Boulder Dash (the music was fantastic.. and the game was even better!)
6. Karate Champ (a classic)
Elektra Glide was the best game soundtrack for the Atari 8-bit.

World Karate Championship music perfectly blends with games climax and playability (one of the best games for 65XE overall). Mountain Bike tune is also pretty cool, but the game wasn't so good.

Even reminds me of playing on a crappy 1970's era portable GE B&W television, for that extra ambience. But yeah, I remember some of these games. Who else had the 130XE back when they were 9 yrs old or so?
I wish this had the full-length tracks in it, otherwise it would be perfect :)
Video quality isn´t horrible, is just a Fx,, that make it looks like an old film.
However is about a Top 10 Music for the Atari computers from the late 80s.

Ballblaster, Gyruss, Zepplin, Preppie to name a few of my faves...takes me right back to being 13 again seeing all these old 8bit games...Oh and Conan had probably the best music ever on an 8bit game

są emulatory jak nie masz orginalnego Atari :), co prawda to nie to samo jak czekało się na wgranie pół godziny(właściciele magnetofonów :)), ale zawsze coś...
Oh yes, Gyruss - it was almost a 3D version of the Galaga game. Incredibly good Atari version gave real arcade feeling. I love it! The music was so great that I often played just to listen to it.
Panther, fantastic music, better than C64 version :P. The game was very good too, but not as good as Gyruss. sometimes it was irritating because of isometric view. It was hard to shoot the enemy sometimes because it looked like you are aiming right but you missed... well, maybe it was just me :)
There is so much good music in all those games. I still like to listen to it!

Hey, a great selection! Adam Gilmore was a magician od of music. You should have leave International Karate run longer as the second part of the music which would start is even better than the first one :-) And Ninja Commando, Panther.. sweet classics!

That sepia effect detracts from the enjoyment of the video, since retro games are supposed to be colourful! This effect doesn't make them look any older. On the contrary, this just looks like a sepia effect done with a modern video editing program ;-)

Ja narazie wstrzymam sie od komentowania i poczekam na czasc druga (vol.2). Chociaz po cichu moge wysnuc swoje podejrzenia, co znajdzie sie na miejscu 1 :D Czy bedzie to melodia, autorstwa tego samego pana, ktory wyladowal na miejscu 10?! :P
A w przerywnikach, to jest chyba muzyczka z HOUSE OF USHER... W morde, teraz do mnie dociera, jaki ze mnie maniak:D od roku w telefonie jako budzik mam ustawiona melodie z JET SET WILLY:D

the majority of these musicians are better known for their c64 work though ;-) .. international karate was a system 3 game.. epyx only brought it to the states.. ball blazer had a funky tune at the start..

ja mam na półce na samym środku wystawy zapakowane w oryginalne pudło Atari 65XE z modem na 128kb, magnetofonem XC12 (oryginał atari a nie 'for atari'). z modem Turbo2000R śmigało 2000kbodów.
co do pozycji - Gyrrus to chyba była pierwsza gra gdzie był trzykanałowy dźwięk (stereo+1)
Praktycznie każda wersja World Karate jaką miałem miała buga w muzyce w części gdzie szybka muzyczka gra
