NOTE: As of 29/8/2024 there is another form you must fill out online BEFORE going to Bali or entering Indonesia, you need to complete an electronic health declaration (the SATUSEHAT Health Pass). After completing the form, you will get a barcode linked to your health and travel history. Indonesian authorities will scan the barcode on arrival in Indonesia. Save your barcode, screenshot it, and take a printed copy with you to ensure authorities can scan it on arrival. SATUSEHAT Health Pass: sshp.kemkes.go.id/register Update to the online visa website, it is now at: evisa.imigrasi.go.id/
@@lindamarietravel Thank you. I already paid and got my VoA and Tourist Levy QR code. I will do the custom and health declarations three days before I arrive. :)
I am so glad I came across your video. I have watched many and was up to speed with the visa but no one had mentioned doing the levy and customs online before hand. I can relate to the "it takes longer than your think" comment. This happened last year when we tried to scan and everyone was giving up thinking the system wasn't working - lol! Finally someone came over to say be patient and it did take almost 5 minutes before the processing was complete, far longer than one would think.
Thanks a lot for all the valuable information. It was really worth for me😊. I am an Australian citizen visiting Bali for the first time in November with my wife.
Thanks for the info: already knew about the health check form and E-visa but for the rest it was new news. Keeping paper plus electronic copy's with qrcode or bar code handy is great tips thanks, heading that way next week
Thank you. They should have made things easier by adding the tourist levy to the total cost of the VoA if most places will start checking it. Counting down my two weeks…
Thanks for the information! I got e-Visa recently and I found that the date of the issue of the passport is mismatched though I gave the correct date. Will there be any problem at immigration? Rest of the details are matching though
Hello. Thanks so much for the arrival information. I jumped the gun a bit on applying for the online visa entry and it is going to run out prior to our arrival in Bali. My bad, I should have read all the information first on the form. I was wondering if it is possible to reapply closer to our departure date while the original one is still active or would it be better to wait until the original visa expires. We arrive on January 15 and the visa expires January 6th. Lesson learned. Always read the fine print! I also read that you shouldn’t apply for the visa until 14 days ahead of travel? Doesn’t make much sense when the visa is good for 90 days. Thanks for your advice in this regard.
I'm glad the information was helpful, I'm sure would be able to reapply closer to the date for another before this one runs out. Have a great time in Bali 🙂🌴🏖️
I'm now on the process of choosing sites for my 2025 vacation and Bali is one on my bucket list. Just completed my 2 weeks vacation in Thailand and I really enjoyed it. How soon do you think in advance to apply for a visa to Bali?
Hi, Where did you go in Thailand? So many lovely places, I really enjoy Thailand too! For Bali, you need to apply for the e-visa at least 2 days before you travel, 1 or 2 weeks before you go is okay. Enjoy planning your vacation to Bali! 🙂
Hi, thank you for letting me know, seems they are phasing out that old link, there is a new one: evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ updated in the description now. thank you. enjoy Bali! 😀
I am Canadian passport holddr, can i enter Bali without Applying online visa ? .. can I just get visa on arrival when i arrive there ?...is the health pass barcode mandatory to do ?
Thank you so much. I waited 2 hours last time when I went. Did not know about the E gate. So when we apply for the 30 day visas. Do we have to print out the visa?. Or the visa links to your passport automatically?.
The visa links electronically to your passport automatically. You do receive a PDF document of the visa details, I printed this and took it with me just in case any confusions or issues occurred. But all was automatic and electronic. Enjoy Bali! 🙂
Hi, The visa on arrival will be electronically linked to each passport, and you will receive emailed document for each visa on arrival. For each tourist levy, and each customs declaration you will also receive emails. I recommend printing the emails and customs QR codes, its easier. Or you could access them all from your phone. Enjoy Bali 🙂
Hi thank you for the tips! I have done the 3 things you recommend in this video. However, my flight land at international airport at 12:05pm and I have to get through immigration and get my check in luggage and then have my connection flight on domestic terminal with departure time 3:35pm. It is about 3h30 layover time, do you think it is enough ? I am very stressed, especially with my luggage!
Hi, yes I think you have enough time. Getting through immigration with you visa on arrival already done is fast through the e-gates. And fast through customs if you already have filled it out and have your QR code. Enjoy Indonesia! 🙂
Hi, If you are not a tourist, there are exemptions, you need evidence for exemption, and apply for exemption, check the website lovebali.baliprov.go.id/faq
That is a great question, thank you, you can apply for the e-VOA 14 days before your travel, and at least 48 hours (2 days) before your departure. So apply between days 2 and 14 before you go.
Hi, You can use the e-gates if you have a biometric passport, that is, a passport with a chip that stores your biometric data. If your passport has a small golden square with a circle in the middle beneath your national emblem, then it can be scanned by the automated systems.
Print out the document evidence of the visa you already have obtained and paid for, and at the airport go through the immigration line and show them manually.
Yup… it’s a damn pain! I finally worked it out BUT… when I went to pay the phone number linked to my account was wrong so I never received the authentification code. Now I can’t pay for it and my application is in limbo. Just going to do it when I get there.
What's the rush? Why not queue? If it's your first time arriving in Bali you get to talk to your first Balinese. Many bloggers tell all about how to get in there fast. None tell that you'll wait forever to pick up your luggage😂.
Good point Robert! Some people don't like to rush, happy to take time through airports slowly and chat to people. I travel carry-on luggage only, and so don't have to wait for luggage pickup, and I like to move quickly through the airport if I can. 🙂
