- It has come to my attention that a (lago coinin) has attempted to defame me which is something subject to a lawsuit. If you find that channel, do please report it, as I very much would rather not get to the point of taking that individual to court. I also have associates that can find out who he really is for legal reasons. I do have an associate that is a lawyer, a state trooper and something much worse. When it comes to those types of issues, I do NOT take those lightly.

Decided to do a cutscene sort of thing for the RAAM's Shadow DLC and didn't put subtitles in for more of a movie like effect.
Notice: this is not a prequel of Gears of War as a whole, this is a bit before Gears 1, but after GoW: Judgement.
Minor Update: I found a very legitimate theory to the locust origin that some people want to know, shout out to MrSanatra, here's the link to it.

I was currently moving most of my content to a new source, aside from a handful to a new channel, however I am leaving some like this one on here to make it easier for you guys to find. Not to mention that the views have gotten past 600K views and over 2.3K likes, which is cool, but not why I make content.
Regardless I am salvaging irreplaceable content to move them to a new location, if you guys wish to join me for the ride there, I will appreciate it, where I am going to do my best to keep making more content for you guys.

MY logic. Wear a helmet = invincibility
It makes a lot of sense. Wearing a helmet muffles their audio sense and the small visors limit their peripheral vision. That makes anyone an easy target.

Nope that's not the reason. The queen told RAAM to go after the leader, as she told when he killed kim: "Cut of the snake's head and the body dies"
Drukarka It just adds backstory to RAAM’s personal vendetta against Kim. It doesn’t nullify the reason completely. There was also another Operation (Midnight I think) that Kim and Hoffman foiled in the comics which only fuelled RAAM’s hatred of Kim
That is also true. I can say from experience that the feeling of revenge is a *VERY* powerful motivator.
There is people I would want revenge on for a myriad of reasons. However a great strength of character is not taking it when you *VERY* easily could.

Yes, RAAM was a grub for only a year, but was made into a standard Theron after a year (and I kind of suspect he was the one that ended up killing Marcus's mom and hid dad lied about her going missing. Not proven, but yet still a suspicion), but yet still rocketed up the locust power structure within those few years and became General of the Horde while General Karn from Judgement pretty much laid the ground work for the attack. RAAM used it and made it happen. Last note, yes Zerkers are raped.
As much as that wasn't the right day to kill Raam, Raam got the both of them anyways.

Damn right! I mean you got various amounts of drones in front of you with Lancers and Hammerbursts (version 2) to make a vicious militia proud and it's only really four guys fighting all of them. Little will they know that RAAM just causally strolling along directly in the opposite direction (like a boss) to give them a "bad day".

XrobotwarriorX raam has krill guarding his body so the only way that to hit him with bullets is if you burn or use a explosive weapon that will launch the krill of him for bullets to do damage but they had none of those types so chainsaw was the only way

That would have been a hell of an idea. A spinoff that answers more questions on the story coming around Gears 1, but more importantly, Answer more questions on RAAM's ascension to a general and how he could control the krill. That would have been awesome.
Michael Barrick is affected by rustlung around the same time as the lightmass bombings, but never told anyone until he had it, until Marcus, Dom and Jace had to escape a losing battle, but he'd rather die fighting, rather than succumb to rustlung and before he died he ended up tearing two locust in two Mortal Kombat style, before being shot in the back by a Beast Rider on a Bloodmount
Mainly compared to other locust he was extremely gifted. As GEARSxVIDZ mentions he was a standard drone for a year and after a few years of being a Theron, his ambitious nature allowed him to take over other locust leaderships claiming them for himself in a hostile takeover. for more look him up on gearspedia
@lumpeistbark3 the scene-ish sort of thing with the Black Theron Elite was an in game play related scene, so it doesn't count, but say the part where Zeta Squad find Jace would be, which is the one I forgot.
they should have had young Jace be a playable character in matchmaking.

3:33 I've never seen that type of cog before, the helmet is different from the normal 2 cog helmets I've seen on the gears series
I'm pretty sure during this part of the timeline that's the same model helmet that Anthony Carmine had before he got shot in the head in Gears 1, then again this does take place a little bit before gears one too so they may have changed models between this point and the first game, but then again I could be wrong.
There are 3 types the first 3 Carmines each uses a different one, one used by Anthony, another used by Benjamin and the last used by Clayton, the helmet he is wearing is similar to Clays

WOW, THIS IS THE BEST DLC I EVER PLAY!
tbh is still is, is just that good as a dlc itself, it adds more lore and the campaign is really enjoyble knowing more about this characters (i guess everyone already knows but the squad of this dlc are all death)
This is hands down my favorite DLC in the Gears of War franchise myself. Seriously the more interesting Protagonists (the character you follow) is always a bit more interesting when it's a villain. Technically Jace becomes an honorary member of Zeta.
@@m3tr0id86 I remember that Jace was introduced on Gears 2 when Marcus and Dom talk with him, showing that he was a prodigious gear on the army, then he was flesh out on Gears 3 when he was show to be a nice guy and character as well, the most young on Marcus group until Delta Squad reunited again for some chapters until he was back, then Raam shadow showing why he get into the gears army and showing who inspired him to become one
With Raam was kinda interesting but he was a punching bag for Marcus and Dom on Gears 1 like nothing and it shows you why it was a reason Raam just kill Minh personally on the first game as well
@@cringydinosaur635 Yeah in RAAM's Shadow it was in the point in time where Jace was introduced to being military and even in real life people are at times just called for military life in a matter of speaking. It's not mine myself. Mine happens to be in the realm of editing, graphic design and learning how to work with special effects in Mediatech Institute now. I actually just uploaded a UA-cam Short of one of my projects a bit ago with another one next week, but I digress.
In this case Jace was one of the people where he followed the military's call to serve and he rocks that shit. A little Fun Fact most people don't know is that Drake was going to voice the character, but sadly schedule conflictions got in the way.

As far as the timeline goes this happened BEFORE Dom busted Marcus out of the Slab.
The missing scene was a mistake on my end, and I'm guessing Kim and Val were close.
Sorry for the lateness, but yes all the Krill are dead at the end of Gears 1. For 3, they only have them in this DLC and Bullet Marsh.

I know that they were always underground, but The Locust Civil War was a result of the lambent starting to overrun the horde, which also explains how the queen tries to get help from Adam and mentions that he tried to persuade the queen to keep them underground, but desperation overtook reason.

The RAAM bossfight at the end was more annoying than anything else, unlike the GOW 1 fight with him which was actually challenging in a fun way
However, playing as RAAM is fucking badass and I like the return to classic gears style gameplay (e-holes, no lambents) so it's good enough for me.
It's referring to the events that were happening then, not after this. This event was before Gears of War 1.
I know right? I mean if you can get the Gorgon SMG, Sawed-Off or the Retro Lancer, definitely Gears 3, but the time frame was a bit before 1.
Technically this is before Gears 1, but after judgement as far as the timeline goes.

Keoni Preston Basically, he was with another squad when the train at the end of Gears 1 goes off the bridge to deploy the Lightmass Bomb. When Barrick and his squad got rustlung, which at that point the imulsion had not fully manifested as it did in three so after enough time with rustlung the people that had it, eventually died. Despite this Barrick kept on trucking till him and Marcus's squad was backed into a corner by the Locust and he stayed behind so that the rest of Delta escaped.
He managed to rip a couple of grubs in two, Mortal Kombat style before being shot in the back by a Beast Rider on a Bloodmount.

This takes place a step back before Gears of War 1. On one angle Kim leads Delta, before RAAM murders him, meanwhile Barrick, was with another unit at the end of Gears 1, but that's where him and the other contracted rust-lung.
at the end of gears 1 you see him in Raam's suit but its red and hes riding a hydra

RAAM is an intellectual unlike drones. Like therons, kantus, boomers and grenadiers; they are bred to thier specific skills, smarts and rank. RAAM was already a general or had a generals mentality with extra training when he was bred.
From what I know Rick D. Wasserman does the voice for not only Barrick, but some of the thugs on the Batman Arkham series and say the Brute Splicers from Bioshock 2 for example.
I read at one time that the origin of the locust is also connected to the New Hope Research facility back in Gears 2, like Queen Myrrah was the only success there somehow escaped and somehow established the Horde. It's just a theory, but it sounds legit.
I agree on that plus every locust big shot had a purpose in every Gears Game
Gears Judgement [Karn] - my guess his specialized forces are the new Rager enemies and rides the Shibboleth
Gear 1 - [RAAM] - Theron Gaurds, uses Krill and at one time had a specialized Reaver
Gears 2 - [Skorge] - Kantus, controlled the Rift Worm and rode the Hydra
Gears 3 - [Myrrah] - Armored Kantus, controls the horde and rode the Tempest

Actually, he died after Gears 1, when at the time where the Lightmass Bomb went off from the same game, Barrick was with Echo-Nine in Timgad while it was happening and him and Echo-Nine got rustlung. I assumed before Gears 2 he was in Delta with Marcus as leader naturally, however Delta found themselves in a positioned to be overran and that's when Barrick told Marcus he had rustlung and he'd rather die fighting than die a coward. He ended up killing two grubs MK stlye, before dying.

Trust me, I actually did it on Insane twice. Once with my brother and the second with this guy that wanted to get an achievement done.
Even with no helmet and no krill, he still does not go down easy and I'm talking about a Longshot to the head.

Kinda would have been the worst moment to do it, because you deal with Mauler Elites first, then Theron Elite, then RAAM. All four at the same time would be suicide.

actually the locust were just from the undergrounds of earth like how we were from the surface myrrah mentioned this in GOW3 but they came to the surface because of the lambet
i notice that ramm's blade is a knife but it was a huge sword in the first gears of war
RAAM just had a magical ability to control kryll which locust or humans didn't know how. And yes EPIC was being inconsistent with allowing kryll to live in broad daylight in the beginning of RAAM's shadow.

Anyway, after the lightmass bomb went off at the end of Gears 1, he got rustlung and he hid it from everyone, until he told Marcus that he had it when his squads back was against the wall and he fought the locust so everybody could get away and managed to rip a grub or two in half, Mortal Kombat style, when a Beast Rider on z Booldmount shot him in the back and killed him.

Benjamin Carmine Yeah I mean obviously if you don't count Jace, because he was not a Gear yet, Valera gets killed by RAAM, then Kim gets killed by RAAM as well in Gears 1, Tai is toutured and they "kill" his spirit and in the belief that his people had that was killed by the UIR, when the spirit dies the body is not far behind and commits suicide, and to be honest I'm not sure when Barrick die in the time line. I definitely know it's before 3 and after 1.

If your referring to the multiplayer aspect, yes. I actually like the Campaign part of Judgement the most, because I COULD play without the declassified stipulations, but that gets boring when I'm playing on Hardcore or Insane and I usually don't do the ones where you have to use a particular weapon and not the Markza. Wish they had a DLC for Gears 3 to have it or something, because if I had that on Horde, there would be even more dead grubs.

What a dick thing to do to RAAM, have his foot stuck under debris, as if taking away his troika wasn't bad enough.

True it does take place in before gears of war
you know....they kinda spoiled the ending by showing it at the start but the only thing missing was the Raven at the end...other then that.....they just recycled the end of the first cutscene to the part where after Barrick says, "This is it people, saddle up!"
Jace is a badass character, too underrated.
