Can work for sure. Different methods out there, but I believe Blake primarily goes with his lob wedge and adjusts from there. Old guard vs new guard I guess.
That largely depends on the course conditions, etc. Milo is right, I don’t use anything other than lobwedge for those shots very often. However, it would be a great shot to practice and see how consistent you are with it.
Although ive always had a reasonable short game im a lot less airy fairy than i used to be! i really grip the ground and use my pelvis a lot more to control and power the action.
The pivot appears different from a Foundation 1 movement. Could you comment on the correct pivot motion and grip? Also, I would like to better understand how to interpret my misses as I work to become Blake-like. Many thanks for the short game insights.
It’s funny: the face on shows that Blake is quite a wristy pitcher, like Phil M’s hinge and hold. Yet what he describes is more of a pivot driven consistent radius. Just goes to show that good players don’t necessarily know what they do.
Did you listen to our explanation of radius or any other time we have discussed this on my channel? It's the distance from the hands to sternum. You can still have hinge and be "wide" based on our definition. Blake does have a bit of hinge even in his basic pivot driven chip, yes.
Thanks Milo, for sharing this vid lesson! 👍
You bet!
and the team gets bigger . . keep'em coming Coach
Blake's short game is world class
Milo, does your grip change for the stock 50 yards shot versus a full swing? Specially, less strong?
How do wrist conditions for pitches differ from full swings? Do you still turn the knuckles down and take a divot?
I never really turn my knuckles down because of my lead hand grip. My preference is to not have to do that intentionally in one's swing.
Thanks Milo and Blake. What about a PW or even 9 to just land ball on green and have it run to the pin ??

You need downward pressure with constant rotation
Not sure I understand your comment
More short game vids with Blake!! Bunker, distance wedges etc. Keep up the good work Milo! 👍🏽👊🏽💪🏽
Glad you enjoyed these, we have more in-depth videos on my website for academy members. milolinesgolf.com

Airy Fairy 😂
so...what loft and bounce is on your "sand wedge"?

This is almost exactly a Foundation 1, perhaps just a bit condensed.
Phil Michelson shot!
Phil the thrill!

@@MiloLinesGolf thanks, Milo, I misunderstood originally.
Thanks Milo - a little more clarity
on pivot - hips/ knees would be helpful
In a future video perhaps. Not a lot of knee flex unless hitting a flop or bunker shot. Feet typically close together and maybe a bit open.
I like that " I did"
Haha
Yeh it is overseeded greens 😅
One of our courses has been resurfaced with the other being resurfaced this summer. Both courses are in fantastic shape!
I do the Crispy jokes round here buddy
Haha
Howard Twitty?? LOL 😆
That tall guy don"t have the smooth swing.
Blake? I beg to differ!
