A large part of my childhood was filled with fear, anger, and sadness. I remember too many nights that I spent lying awake listening to screaming and yelling. On those nights that I didn't sleep I spent hours looking out of my window at the stars. Every night in the chaos of my house I found comfort and consistency in the beautiful night sky, and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to join the stars in the sky and see the world from their point of view. for most of my childhood I wanted to be an astronaut, but then at some point I decided to bring my dreams a little closer to earth. So now I am in the process of becoming a pilot so that I can travel the world and still spend as much time as I can up in the sky. But I still haven't given up on my dream to see the world from space so I am constantly saving money and doing research on how I can one day achieve my dreams, and reach the stars. Congratulations Ammar on reaching your stars, you are an inspiration to all the dreamers out there.
The first few sentences really resonated with me…I’m so grateful my older sister was there to help me thru mine. Sad and beautiful, I hope you find what you are looking for, and happiness finds you more than not.
Ammar, I grew up in Egypt for 15 years as the son of an expat family! Imagine my surprise when a video about Luxor pops up in my feed. I can't tell you how many times I visited Luxor as part of a class field trip or vacation just living in the country. Almost brought a tear to my eye, lol. My dream honestly was just to be free. I never had a specific job or ambition I was aiming for, I simply wanted to be free and travel the world to continue the lifestyle that I had. I am slowly building towards that potentially as a digital nomad, but that is going to take a couple of years to achieve. My Dad died last year from lung cancer and one of the dreams that he had for my family was to do one last trip to Egypt before he passed away. That was in September 2023 and I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye because he didn't want me to see in such a state. My Mom and I have plans to bring some of his ashes to Egypt as a final resting place, but unfortunately that won't happen for a couple of years since we are still wrapping stuff up and taking care of life at the same time. I'm healing from it now, but damn does it take a lot of time. Cheers!
Your comment pushed me to seek discomfort and post about growing up as an expat in the Middle East! I hope you win the trip to Luxor so you can spread your dads ashes, sorry for your loss
A simple thought that i experienced watching both these videos. I am 69, feel 45 but life and time are real. I watched these with love for the life you have chosen (or has chosen you) and that you shared that with friends and family. The time with your father was precious, my father passed in 2006 and I miss him every day. I wish I had more time with him, but life doesn't always give you what you want. What i felt was sadness for the time I have left and that I have so much more I want to do. Life can be cruel. I am grateful for the things I do have. This was a wondaful emotional rollercoaster, thank you for the share and the reminders of the good in the world! Peace!
I had a different answer in the other video. But since I had many dreams, I may add another one. I vividly remember in a dance recital at my school, when a grandfather of another kid played the violin to accompany their dance. I had been sitted next to him, and since he started playing I couldn't stop watching, mesmerized of the movement of the arch and how the fingers moved with such grace. That was the beginning of my love for music, first it was the violin, then singing, the guitar, bass, ukulele, whatever I could get my hands on. Then, I composed my first song and uploaded to youtube, this was years ago, but in the recent months I find out that there is still one person listening to it that I have never met, and it's one of their favorite songs. And deep inside of me I made my dream come true, I had an impact on somebody else through my first love, music.
Answering on behalf of my dad. I introduced him to your channel years ago, we now share the same love for you and everything you do. I always knew my dad has been interested and intrigued by Egypt but after watching these videos, it really became clear and he began to share more. He said he has been fascinated by Egypt since he was a little kid, not understanding how the beauty is even possible. He really shared many of the same thoughts and comments as the other guys in the video, just truly blown away by the beauty and stories. I would love to win this trip, not just for myself but more importantly, for him. This would be such an amazing thing to share together. He is the hardest working man I know and this trip would just mean more than you know. Thank you for the opportunity and I’m so so glad this trip happened for you.
I love how Yaseen went from security expert to security threat. On a serious note. I love how you guys are so big and showcasing gratitude, vulnerability, struggles, humiliation, value family and friends. Guys showing kindness and emotion, its important what you do.
As a small kid, I remember visiting the Austrian Alps with my family. I vividly recall taking the cable car up the mountain, feeling the excitement build with each passing moment. But what stands out the most in my memory is the sight of another peak looming above us, just out of reach. I was too young to tackle the hike to that higher peak, but oh, how badly I wanted to see the world from its summit. In that moment, my cildhood dream was born within me, a dream to do the seemingly impossible and then behold the beauty only a few get to lay eyes upon. Watching this video, I am reminded of that childhood longing. It's amazing how a single experience can ignite a passion that lasts a lifetime. Thank you for taking me on this journey and reminding me of the beauty that inspired my very first dream.
These 2 videos from Egypt were the most wholesome videos to watch! It showed all the love and excitement that you guys put into them. I even showed them to my mom who does not speak English but loved to see all the emotions and the sites. One of my childhood dreams was becoming a flight attendant because I wanted to travel the world. I was born and raised in Romania, a relatively small country with not that many opportunities. So experiencing different cultures and making friends abroad was always the most exciting thing to me. I've spent one year in the states, as an exchange student, and a semester in Ireland as an Erasmus student. Just really tried to grab every opportunity to travel whenever I could. I am currently doing my last semester in college in my home town. I cannot image how life changing this trip would really be! I just wish for whoever wins that they take the most out of it and appreciate this huuuge gift from you guys!! 🤗
Becoming a wildlife ranger in Savannah; conserving and protecting the beautiful great giants. Couldn't afford the internships nor the volunteer opportunities of working with the African wildlife after graduating. Couple years down the line, im currently living in Okinawa. About a month ago i had the opportunity to swim with humbpack whales and absolutely loved it. Talked to the captain of the boat and decided on that same day to work with them. Im currently working on getting my SCUBA licences. I will definitely make my dream of becoming a wildlife ranger in the Savannah come true but for now my dream is to explore the ocean and hopefully swim with more incredible marine wildlife, learning more about them to protect them and their world!!! Honestly whenever i need motivation, inspiration or want to laugh, ill watch you guy's videos and all is set right. Its educational, heartwarming and lovely to see the genuine love you share and spread to eveyone!! Absolute legends!
When I was a kid, I was confused and felt like not belonging anywhere. I was a Korean Kid living in Mexico and I didn't feel Korean nor Mexican but sometimes I felt like I was both or even more. When I was 5 years old, I watched a movie called Jumanji (1995) and I loved that movie so much that I used to imagine and fantasize living and having an adventure like in movie! It became my dream since I was a kid, live a life like Jumanji. Years have passed, I became an adult and I had a 9/5 job but it didn't fulfill me, so one day I decided to quit my job and follow my Jumanji Dreams. Since then I have never felt more happy in my life, but I'm still trying to live that Jumanji Dream. Seek Disconfort have been a true inspiration for me, thank you guys for existing and keep SEEKING!!! Seahyun Lee.
I’m not kidding you when I say that my earliest dream as a child was to go to Egypt. I fell in love with the ancient world at a very early age. I was so obsessed. I would grab these big adult textbooks, watch countless of documentaries, trying to write hieroglyphs and studying the mythology in my free time. Even if I saw a series or special before, I’d just rewatch it again and again because I wanted everything to stay in my head. I still remember staying up late at night watching a special about Nefertiti and whether or not they found her. I’ve always wanted to go to Egypt to see everything myself and just fall in love again with the world that inspired me and lit a fire within me at an early age. So yeah that was my earliest dream.

My childhood dream was to be the Prime Minister of Canada. A silly dream, for a weird kid who didn’t fit in anywhere. That why I ended up getting engrossed by history. Everything fitted in together, the story was already written. You knew how it ended from the start. You saw how these people of long ago had dreams and if they achieved them or fell victim to life whims. When Ammar talked about seeing the pyramids as a child and being inspired, by how if such a thing was possible. So was his dreams. I felt that. Building something so that it inspires others is the gift of creation. Ptah would be proud of this video. You inspired me to one day make it to Egypt and feel what you guys felt that day you walked through ancient sites. Thank you for that!
Ever since I was a child, I've harbored an unyielding dream to venture beyond the confines of our Earth and journey to the enigmatic surface of the moon. As a wide-eyed kid, I would gaze up at the night sky, mesmerized by the silvery glow of Earth's celestial companion, and envision myself standing on its dusty surface, gazing back at our blue planet suspended in the vast expanse of space. The allure of the unknown, the thrill of exploration, and the sheer wonder of experiencing the cosmos firsthand have fueled this childhood dream of mine, igniting a passion for space exploration that still burns brightly within me today. Though the journey may seem daunting and the destination distant, the dream of setting foot on the moon continues to inspire me, driving me to pursue the stars with unwavering determination and unbridled imagination.
I am going to talk about two of my earliest dreams, because at the end they were combined, and it is a day that I will never forget. First, I remember how much I was longing to take the airplane and experience flying above the clouds. To me, it sounded unbelievable, even though I know a lot of people who flew already. By unbelievable, I don't mean I was thinking it was not possible, but I don't know how to describe it, maybe almost fantastical. But I never thought I will be able to get on a plane and experience it myself. My second dream, was to pursue an engineering career in Germany, a dream that nurtured since my youth. My first plan was to continue studying in Germany after I became 18 years old. There was a scholarship from my country, which was offered to the top 8 people in the country. This was my goal, so I studied hard and I even started studying the German language. Unfortunately I failed to reach my goal, I was only top 32 in the country which wasn't enough. This was really disappointing to me, since at that age it sounded to me like it was my only chance. I studied an engineering path. I kept trying to land an internship in Germany, but was never successful. I graduated and got my engineering degree, and I started working, but never gave up on my goal. I kept applying to job positions in Germany. And finally, two years later, I got a job offer in Germany. Three months forward, the day of my trip came. It was also the same day I got my vise (Got the visa 5 hours before the flight, it was a really emotional experience but that's a story for another time). Usually these last moments are filled with sadness and tears. You are leaving your family, friends, memories and country behind. For me it was excitement and joy. I don't mean I wasn't sad. I was, but the excitement overcame any other emotion. I will never forget the moments the plane started running on the runway as I was looking through the small window, noticing every little detail, feeling cheerful. I felt the plane wheels leave the ground. My heart shrank and tears fell down my eyes. Excited for the future, felt proud that I finally reached my goal, having conquered obstacles and surely sad of leaving everything behind especially my family and mother. That day not just a chapter was concluded, it marked the closure of an entire volume in the story of my life.
From the moment you arrived in Egypt, onto the first vidit to the mueum, I was teared up. Traveling to the greatest treasures of Egypt, second stop, i was totally immersed in tears, flowing down my face. I am 76y.o., and partially crippled but YOU at Seeking Discomfort gave me the chance to see and e xperience the visions of the greatest kingdom of history, next to Jesus Christ. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of this tremendous experience I would have not been able to physicly. Tears are still in my eyes from it. I Could not imagine such a meal on the Nile enjoying an all encompassing view of all you had seen. Systemic overload...😪 Thanks to all who made this happen, you have given me a mini- vacation I could have never afforded, or physivly been able to go to. God bless and keep your luminary crew on your travels to share these things with the public who are savvy enough to pick up on your channel. Safe journies and keeping safe of my Yes Theory Illuminaries who plan and arrange such programs.🙏💜😎👍
Since I was a kid, I've always had this dream... of going out into the world and helping people who really need it. Not just giving stuff, but really being there, you know? Listening to their stories, sharing their struggles. It's not about fame or anything like that. It's about understanding, compassion, and making a difference, no matter how small. It's like this calling inside me, pushing me to spread kindness and love wherever I go. And I can't shake it off, you know? But I am certain that one day, I'll be able to do something that meaningful and impactful, just like you guys are doing it so well! 🙏
My first dream was to be a cartoon artist. I had severe dyslexia as a child, which meant I was very creative through arts and crafts. I uses to watch the classic Disney movies, 90s cartoons and my father was an artist so got a lot of knowledge from him. I loved seeing how visually you can tell a story without language. I spent most of school filling workbook pages full of doodles instead of words. I felt I could express myself without having language as a barrier. I think I lost my dream as a teenager as insecurities kicked in and I felt I wasn't good enough. These days I am very creative and still do art by painting, building furniture and I have a career in design. Its heart warming to see people accomplish their dreams, well done Ammar 💛
Hey Ammar! First of all, i cried the whole episode and it filled me with such a joy i neded, congrats, you guys are such inspiration from the first day I started to watch you (September 2017, right after i moved abroad to UK and I've decided to seek my own discomfort as international student) My biggest childhood dream was to do scuba diving at Great Barrier Reef in Australia! This dream started because of my dad buying me CD's with national geographic episodes and watching all those beautiful, colorful water creatures. I remember I wrote in my diary as a kid that i wanted to be marine adventure explorertator. I still haven't got a chance to do scuba diving but many years later I did my bachelor degree in marine biology and I hope in the future I can finnaly do that. Cant wait to see rest of videos from Egypt and I send you so much love ❤ love over fear
You guys represent such a pristine example of the balanced masculine energy. Thank you for sharing your journey and bienvenus à Paris ! I just moved to Brussels after leaving my Parisian flat in August 2022 for 18 months of nomadism and my last step before becoming sedentary was supposed to be Egypt where some of my old ancestry roots come from, but for financial and mental health reason I had to make the choice to settle down. My first dream as a child was to become a professional singer songwriter in a metal band (very specific eheh). I am slowly materializing this dream alongside many other and would absolutely adore to go on the Louxor trip to get activated even deeper by the future-ancient frequency vibrating in this sacred land. Infinite Love and many blessings to you Ammar and anyone reading this ❤
Ammar! I’ve said it before, but once again, you are an amazing guy! I can’t imagine how good it would feel to have you as a son, brother, friend or anything else. On top of that, you and everyone else on Yes Theory and Seek Discomfort deserve props for the content that you guys have produced over the years. I’ve been a viewer and fan for a long time. During my high school years, you guys were one of my sources of fuelling and achieving my childhood dream!
My childhood dream has always been to see more and more things. From a young age, I’ve always been fascinated by all types of “useless” facts. Since my mom and dad were and still are the biggest help in finding these useless facts, I am very thankful for them providing me with such an amazing upbringing. As a young kid, I wanted to know a lot about the different places we visited as a family, whether it was 10 minutes or 12 hours away. During my childhood, we would spend our holidays driving through different countries in Western Europe with our caravan on the trailer hitch. This grew my love for travelling and exploring different countries, cultures and languages. The love of learning languages came to a hold during high school, when I felt overwhelmed by the pressure and the way of learning the language. I am very blessed by the high level of education in the Netherlands and by learning six languages before turning 18. While some of my language knowledge faded away, my love for travelling has not. With my friends (who luckily also like exploring new places), I have explored some countries, but I am far from satisfied! During my university studies, I got the chance to live and study in Kazakhstan for half a year. These months were some of the bests of my life, where I got to know myself, but also so many great other people. This also gave me the chance to really indulge myself in the Kazakh culture and learn a new language. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I took my first trip to Africa with some friends. A few days into the road trip around Namibia I got the message that my dad was in a bad car accident, almost killing him. Luckily, he survived, but it made me realise that life can be much shorter than we expect. This experience taught me to make sure to spend as much time as possible with my loved ones. At the same time, like Avicii said: “one day you’ll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember.”
I am speechless at how amazing this is. Ammar has brought his friends-or perhaps I should say, brothers-into his nation to share his dreams and his favourite spots in Egypt. It's my ambition to be able to travel the world and spend the greatest moments of my life with the people I love and care about in order to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and I couldn't imagine anything better than seeing what you have been able to see together. Well done Ammar for accomplishing your dreams and bringing your friends with you I hope to continue to see these videos for an incredibly long time. These videos have brung more meaning to life and gave me and understanding that we can always find our people wherever we shall be if you seek discomfort and show love and kindness to everyone you come across. A trip like this would be a dream come true and would make memories that would last a lifetime I'm 19 from the UK and have been following for years and enjoy every single episode made.
I feel like I had many dreams as a kid, however one that comes to mind as one of the first while watching this video, was gifting a trip for to my mom we would go on together. I live in Denmark where it is quite normal for most families to go on multiple vacations every year. However I had never been on one, primarily because of my parents' financual struggles, so I made the dream to someday be able to fund that dream myself. And since both me and my mom actually bonded over ancient history when I was small, different books and cartoons, Egypt was always in my mind. Thanks for reminding me of this dream, and many others. Love the yes fam! ❤ Hope we get to see more events here since you're moving to Europe :D
It is crazy for me to think that I used to watch Yes Theory from near the beginning and remembered your struggle along the way to comfortably achieve access back into your home and today this video popped up and I instantly smiled because I knew through all the heart ache and pain you endured up until this moment, you did it. I am very proud of you and congratulations! As for me, my childhood dream was as simple as wanting to do everything I could to ensure my family a comfortable life and provide to them all the love and care they gave to me throughout my childhood. Seeing you and your family bond over this video was beautiful and reminded me of that dream that to this day I still live by. Thank you for such a beautiful story and here’s to many more stories that you and your family will create.
When I was a kid (2006), I watched a Liverpool game and I just fell in love with the team, the Anfield atmosphere and everything. I was 8 years old that time. It's been 18 years I fell in love with the club. I am from Nepal, and it was always impossible for me to achieve this dream. Currently, I am in Thailand studying and working and trying my best to achieve my dream. I just want to be in Anfield stadium and watch the game. It still may take years and years and years, but one day I will achieve it for sure. I am still trying to make impossible, the possible. Even yes theory motivated me to come to Thailand during tough time in covid and it is going better. Thank you for the awesome video!
Hey, I love this comment! I live in Liverpool, not very far from anfield absolutely love Liverpool football club, although Ive not been to a game I have been to watch them do the tour through the city with the champions league cup, it was magical. People in Liverpool are very friendly I’m sure you would love it here! YNWA
This trip to Egypt, your skydiving experience and just seeing the beautiful message you wanted to bring across the screen for us to understand was truly touching. Made me tear up with happiness and in awe of the person you are and just how much I love this channel!!! Seeking discomfort is truly my goal this new year but fully committing to it. Thinking an reflecting on my childhood, my dream as always been to travel and get to know the world outside of the cultures and lifestyles I know here in north america and from my south american background. I have always been so curious and intrigued to better understand the other lifes around us, get to know all of the other beautiful cultures and people. Travelling with my parents, whom I look up to, would be the most heart warming experience - especially with all the sacrifices they have made for seeking a better life for themselves and their futures. Ammar, thank you so much for wanting to share this journey with us. It is truly a gift to have the ability to share this journey and being so open about your struggles, dreams, and the lessons you've learned. Thank you for being so inspiring and being true to yourself. I hope to one be as determined and know that my dreams and highest desires are able to be fulfilled.🥰🥰 💗
This trip looks epic, ancient Egypt was always my favourite part in history class in school and it still fascinates me now. I was a very shy quiet child, always lost in a day dream. I think because i was a quiet kid I always dreamed of doing something BIG, something that would get people to notice me and something to make an impact on peoples lives. I know its pretty vague but even now i dream of doing something big to help out others ive done multiple long bike events for charity across Europe and held quizzes for charity during lockdown. I still find myself chasing the dream of that something big that inspires and makes an impact on those around me. Thanks for keeping me inspired
What a beautiful trip! My grandfather worked for NASA for several decades, That love and wonder of the final frontier has certainly been passed down through the generations to me. Since I was young i've always dreamt of traveling beyond our earth, even if only for a moment. It's my ultimate bucket list item.
Once again, an amazing video, guys! After my earliest childhood dream that I can remember of walking among the stones of Stonehenge, I remember dreaming of one day seeing the Great Pyramids along with other ancient sites such as in this video. The ancient Egyptians were such great innovators, artisans and very complicated culture. From such an early time in history come some of the greatest Wonders of the Ancient World. Visiting the Roman ruins are also among my early childhood dreams and these all have remained with me throughout my life. All are on my bucket list that I can't say I'll ever be able to cross them off. I can visit them as much as I want through UA-cam and PBS programs though and do so often. It never ceases to amaze me how they were able to create such amazing structures without the kind of modern machinery we have today and many of these would still be very difficult even with the machinery we have. Awesome sights to behold, I'm sure.
Back in the day, I was all about chasing the dream of being a musician, specifically jamming out on the bass guitar. Picture me, rocking the stage, feeling the crowd's energy pulsating through every chord I played. But life's funny twists led me down a different path - one filled with lines of code instead of musical notes. Yeah, I traded in the guitar for a keyboard, but you know what? Programming's got its own kind of magic. It's like composing a digital symphony, each line of code creating its own unique rhythm. So, while my childhood dreams might not have played out exactly as planned, I've found a whole new groove to jam to.
It was incredibly special to witness your journey unfold, im still crying from the other video I watched before, especially seeing you share it with your family, soul family, and your nephew, who will undoubtedly cherish these memories forever. Your video has reignited my own dreams, particularly my longing to experience Egypt in the same breathtaking way you did. It's a dream my bestie friend I have placed on our vision board, and your video has made it feel more tangible and real. Just as I mentioned in another comment, one of my childhood dreams was to become a mermaid. Here's another dream to share on this video, I've always yearned to fly like a bird. I've taken the leap into skydiving and aspire to earn my certification to jump solo after I finish paying off my studies this is where I wish to invest my funds. Additionally, I'm working towards obtaining my pilot's license. These childhood dreams are no longer just fantasies; they're becoming tangible goals, thanks to the inspiration I find in your videos. Thank you for sharing your journey and for being a constant source of inspiration. Your bravery and determination remind us all that dreams are worth chasing, no matter how big they may seem. Here's to turning dreams into reality and embracing every moment of the adventure.
I love the videos you guys make it’s so inspiring. My name is Nienke, I’m 14 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I watch your videos for 3 years now and it had a lot of impact on my live. You guys asked wat my first dream as a kid was and my dream now since I’m still a child is to go on Masterskip. That a organization that takes a group of children on a sailing trip for 5 weeks during school time. I am trying to make this dream come true but it costs a lot of money so I am doing my best and it will be an adventure. You guys have inspired me to take on this adventure so THANK YOU!
My first childhood dream was to scubadive. I remember the exact moment I wished for this to happen. I was 10 years old and snorkeling with my dad at the Medes Islands in Spain. Beneath us, two divers were gliding in the water. It was like something clicked deep in my soul. I instantly knew that that was what I wanted most dearly. At the time, at that young age, I knew nothing of diving. For me, it was like walking on the moon. At 16, with the help of my parents and after countless hours of babysitting and working in a supermarket, I had the opportunity to learn how to scubadive. And the best part: my dad started learning it together with me. Now, my dad is in his 70s, and has made the wise decision to not take the risk anymore. With his decision, I decided to pass on the marvel of diving to my partner. On his 50th birthday I gifted him a scuba course, as my parents gifted me one at 16. Now, my partner uses my dads equipment. After 24 years of diving , I am grateful to still be able to share this passion with someone I love.
What a beautiful end to your story Ammar. It truly moves me to my core. I’ve been watching your story since the beginning so to know that you were not only able to achieve your dream but to do it along side your dad, it makes it more special for you and all of us who have been in this journey with you. My biggest dream as a kid was to become a doctor and to help people the most in need in places where medical aid is not readily available. This channel has always helped me to stay motivated in the pursuit of this goal. I appreciate the way you guys story tell and I hope you guys really an even bigger audience in the years to come. You guys not only deserve it but you are creating a difference in this generation. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
To go to Egypt. That's my earliest dream as a kid. To be exact, to the city of Damietta, where my name was taken from. My father was a sailor for his life and had been to many ports around the world. But I think Egypt had him in his heart, so when he had his children he named us to two port cities in Egypt; Damietta and Rosetta. He told me about the history of my name when I was 7 years old, and that that was the beginning of my fascination with Egypt, especially with its culture, history, and art. I dreamed to go to the pyramids, to visit Damietta, to go to Karnak, andd the Nile. Thirty five years later, it is still be my dream. I wish I could go to Damietta and get a glimpse of what my father tought when he decided to give me the name.. . Miss you, Pa..
I guess Ammar's story put me in an emotionally good mood haha... but other than that, it is so beautiful to see all of these people share their dreams and witness this level of love and hope engrained deep inside people's hearts @@baidykle1 I'd like to share something back, you know🥰 (and thank you for your kind "encouragement" btw)
Thank you so much. You treated Ammar's gift to you all with such reverence and honesty. The video was just beautiful and it washed over me with tears of happiness and gratitude.I have never been to Egypt, but this view affected me so deeply. Maybe it was the love and care from everyone and especially to Ammar. We all loved your nephew Yassen. He was loved by the whole crew. Thank you. Peace.
As a kid I would always draw. I began as a toddler, always having a marker in my hand to keep me occupied. As I got older, this passion stayed and I would draw during any class. I always knew I wanted to draw but felt as though I needed to pursue a skill that would earn me money. I went to school for finance and forgot all about my love for art. After having so much free time during COVID I started re-exploring spirituality and creativity. Since then, creativity and spirituality have been intertwined in my life and I have never felt more like myself. My partner, also a creative, is a large part of why I am the way that I am now. We would love to experience a place that is so integral to society to integrate history into our art to make positive change. - Jess and Alex
My childhood dream was to travel to the past. As a child it was a part of the day or at least the week to hear a story from the past. Storys that my parents or grandparents lived trough themselves or ancient storys from the bible or other historical books. This may sounds like I'm making it up just for this video but from my childhood to now i never had the chance to travel anywhere far. It is stil my dream to travel somwhere with that much history to get this mysterious and emotional feeling again that made my childhood. This video gave me exactly that feeling again. (Favorite video of this chanel so far😅)
After following you and the whole Yes Theory story for years and years, I couldn't help but feel immense joy watching your dream be fulfilled. Bringing your dad along, I can only imagine the feelings running through all of you! Truly a beautiful story! My biggest dream for many years and since I was a kid was to find myself in a position to travel the world and experience the Northern Lights in Tromso is right at the top of my list. I am and have always been drawn in by their beauty and by anything like views and spectacular sights. After seeing both the main channel video and this one, a trip to Cairo and Luxor have gone right up toward the top of my list!Much love brother from Australia! 😁
This has so much puriosity and I love the emotion behind this with everyone supporting and cherishing this just as much as you are ammar. The first dream I’ve ever had as a kid was to travel the world pursuing film and showing the world the different, beautiful and authenticity is has everywhere. I’m currently 19 years old pursuing that dream and striving for the possibility of it one day coming true. I Love you Yes Theory and even if it’s in the slightest bit I win I appreciate the opportunity that you’re giving me and I appreciate all that the yes theory team has done for the world❤
Oh man, this video moved me to parts of myself I didn't know existed. A huge chunk of my childhood was majorly travelling between cities with my mum, and when I was 7, my family & I visited Dubai where there was a whole exhibtion with only Egypt as the theme. It was at that moment, I felt something out of this world. It was inexplicable & since then I have been obsessed with Egypt & its history, culture, food, people, everything. I am just waiting to visit Cairo & Luxor, in hopes that many questions about myself, to be answered. Its that special. Loved the episode, it has validated my obsession with Egypt. Thanks.
Following yes theory and Ammar on this journey for the past 9 years, these videos mean so much to me. As I can imagine it meant the world to Ammar to be back in Egypt I am so happy for all that you all have accomplished and can’t wait so see where life takes you guys next! As for me, my dream since I was little was to fly. Whether that be jumping down the stairs or on the trampoline to feel like I was flying I have always wanted to just fly. Now in my adulthood I am making steps to become a pilot and see the world one flight at a time.
My childhood dream was to be a Canadian Firefighter. Even though I live in england, I used to watch videos and look at everything the canadian fire rescue did and I wanted to be one so much. Since my dad was a firefighter in the london fire brigade and spent over 30 years in the brigade I always wanted to know about what he did . This was my first aspiration as a kid when I was about 6-10 years old. I love your vids and I’m truly inspired watching you from so long ago and knowing your story. How you weren’t able to return to you’re home country and were away from your family. Your friends always stuck by you. Then seeing you create a whole documentary and growing the channel so much. Now its like a full circle moment bringing them back to your beautiful home country and show them around.
I have been a member of yes theory for the past nine years and to say it's radically changed my life is an understatement. I truly believe its you guys that have ignited my love for travel and culture!! On another note- I have witnessed every battle and triumph and dream you have accomplished. Although I cannot even begin to comprehend how it feels to not be able to go back home, to see your family, and to not go back to the place where your ideas became dreams. Ammar, you are truly special, your heart and your willpower and steadfastness. Your impact to Yes Theory is nothing short of incredible. Thomas, Tommy, Stefan, Matt, Anders...to the whole team-thank you for inspiring me and brining me community every day. You guys have radically changed me perspective of life and of accomplishing dreams.... A dream I had as a kid was to become a doctor. As a kid I drew pictures of myself as a physician, I played dress up as nurses and doctors and played with stethoscopes and gloves. Through medicine and valuing humanity is one of the ways I want to make an impact on this world. I am now 23 and applying to medical school in May. However this is my second time applying, and I'm taking the MCAT now for the third time. I let fear creep in and control my life-I became stuck by my perfectionism-but something Stefan said recently has stuck with me, and I think it will forever- "a head full of fears has no space for dreams"- and so I'm not letting my fear control my life anymore. I will become a doctor-and I know with full confidence I will serve others well through medicine. I even have a new dream of becoming a travel doctor-getting to aid those in every corner and culture. Wow-what a dream that is. Thank you-for the most heartfelt, intentional, humane videos on this platform. It truly is my honor to be a part of such a special community
All your videos just raise the bar and this one didnt dissappoint. Its amazing how much difference it makes when you have an amazing set of friends and family who are always with your through thick and thin. You are fortunate and may always stay this way. One of my childhood dreams was to go on a safari with just my dad. Literally just the 2 of us. The bond you share with your dad sure did make my eyes water. I miss my dad and as we grew up things got busy and life carried on with my dreams going to the back burner. My dad sadly passed away a few years ago and i guess my dream will now always stay as a dream. I now have 2 amazing boys of my own (Yahya and Yaseen) and it is now my dream to do with them what i wanted to do with my dad. Just go on an advenure.
Since I was young I was in love with other cultures and wanted to travel the world. Being in America, traveling isn't as common as other countries like Europe so I never knew if I would be able to. I finally went to Ireland with my family a couple years ago but they didn't like the whole travel process which disappointed me because it's hard for me to afford these trips. Last November I sought out discomfort and traveled to Australia by myself! I went for 2 weeks and only knew where I was staying for 6 days out of the 2 weeks. People told me to stay in a hostel but it worried me but I chose to be adventurous and try it. I don't think I would have ever done this if I didn't watch your videos. It was the best decision I have ever made. I met so many people from around the world like Germany, England, Colombia, Malaysia... I made lifelong friends and took another step into following my dreams of traveling the world. After watching these videos, I hope to travel to Egypt one day and be embraced with the wonders of the world and beautiful culture. Thank you from the bottom of my heart yes theory for helping me chase my dreams ❤
What a amazing video again. The colors of the wall paintings remind me of my childhood dream, when I dreamt of a magical place that felt like home - a place where all the world's religions could come together, like old friends who had never met but were always meant to be together. Picture a grand, cozy house encircled by beautifully doors all around- each one whispering stories of different faiths through colors and symbols sacred to different faits in respect of each tradition of the various religions of the world. The doors, ever open, invieted everyone to a gathering of peace and acceptance, no matter what they believed in - SEEKING TRANSFORMATION OF DISCOMFORT TO PEACEFUL COMFORT. It wasn’t only standing shoulder to should, it was about sharing & celebrating the good in each faith in a tapestry of shared joy - a place where wonders unfold, where hands are held, stories are cherished, and every voice is heard, honoring our traditions in beautiful spaces crafted with love, sweeping away any false beliefs and judgements. Inside, prayers and chants would blend into a symphony of unity, building a sanctuary of support and genuine kindness, giving always everyone a space to honor their rituals with deep respect for their venerable traditions. This dream was more than just bricks and mortar where we could all share our best bits, in respect of our differences; it was a hope that one day, our mosaic of differences could illuminate the world’s true beauty. It was a vision that together, in our YOUniqueness, we were able to share a world free from the battles over rightness, celebrating rather the splendor of diversity. It was, and always will be, a heartfelt wish for a place ruled by LOVE OVER FEAR, positive compassion, and the kind of friendship that triumphs over everything. A wolrd where we choose togetherness, understanding and love - in every language, for every soul. The goal was to show that it is possible to be different and still together, sharing and appreciating the beauty while creating a world without fights over who's right. It was a wish for a place where love, kindness and friendship win. #Seek Discomfort For Comfort #DreamBig #DreamWorld #Seek Discomfort For Comfort#TogetherAsOne #ChildhoodDreamsComeTrue #TogetherAsOne #UnityInDiversity #LoveInEveryLanguage
My first dream is till my current one, to be able to travel the world and see as much ancient cultures, places, and things as I can. As a kid, for fun I would constantly read books on ancient China, Egypt, Peru, Mexico, and any other ancient civilizations out there. It’s amazing to me on how much we’ve discovered, created, and are still finding new pieces of evidence, artifacts, and locations to this day. The more we discover about those times, people, and artifacts can truly help us still in the future. I would be so amazed, humbled, and excited to go anywhere. You guys and your content, and messages are always on point, thanks for everything the past few years!
These two videos from Egypt are absolutely incredible! Tears in my eyes watching both of them. My first dream as a kid was to be a singer. I grew up around music and some of the best memories i have are of my grandfather playing the piano or guitar and me singing along
Watching your story brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy for you and find you incredibly inspiring as an older woman who is pursuing her dream of becoming an artist, despite others discouraging her. For too long, I pushed my own artistic dreams aside, believing I couldn't make a living through art. Sadly, I listened when people told me I needed a "real" job. But not anymore! You have inspired me to finally go after my dreams of being an artist. Your journey shows me it's never too late to follow my passion. Thank you for giving me the motivation to pursue art as a way of life.
It's so surreal to see this! I just got my egyptian visa, and will be flying to Cairo and doing a tour of luxor on the 9th of March! It'll be my first off shore visit since starting my marketing agency, and after 3 gruielling years and no days off, I am treating myself to this experience of history art and culture! So stoked to see it, truly serentipidious that my favourite channel drops a banger and shows me what I have in store! My first dream as a kid, was starting my own business. Seeing financial instability growing up- and yet being sent to a boarding school that costed a pretty dime, I always was cognisant of the role money has to play in having a healthy life. However, since I started my business and have collected enough money to-- I am reminding myself of my one true dream: to gather enough perspective from every community and culture in the world to be a truly global citizen that is Empathetic & Action Oriented for the betterment of those around me-- as I realised since-- money doesn't solve problems, perspective does. Cheers.
Hey man, welcome to Egypt in advance, if you ever need some help with anything or some one to show you around i'll be more than happy to help, just hit me up
since i was a kid, i have always been fascinated with history and ancient civilizations and i' dreamed of becoming an archeologist one day. (my father who was a history teacher was a huge influence on this.) i grew up not becoming an archeologist but i've carried on that fascination with history and ancient culture. you dont know how much joy your videos of Egypt brought to me. thank you so much for this. i've always been dreaming to go to Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Iraq and hopefully i could visit them one day. Continue to create great contents and inspire people. ---your follower from the Philippines :)
This was such a short and wholesome video! To answer the question posed at the end I'd say... I was utterly fascinated with nature, history and wildlife, as a kid who was addicted to TV channels like nat geo, discovery and animal planet, it seemed like the perfect thing to do growing up was to be an adventurer. Be it gordan buchanon, bear grylls or mad mike and mark, i would absolutely dream of living and working as they did. Also while writing this I can distinctly remember watching Yes theory's video of the finding the lost pyramid and being absolutely in awe of it's beauty as well as deeply relating with Amaar's feeling when he reached the pyramids. Ammar's reaction felt so close to the 'larger than life' feeling that watching those shows as a kid felt like. Thanks for what you do! Hope to see the next video on this channel soon!
The part about reconnecting with your inner child in the first video immediately made me think about how literally my first dream ever was to go to Egypt. My dad used to talk about Egypt and pyramids and how we would visit it one day. I understood that in a very literal sense, was very excited and started packing immediately for Egypt as I thought that meant that we would visit it very soon. My packed things sat in my room for a few months before I realized that we didn't have enough money for that trip and that we are not going there anytime soon and I was very disappointed. Im not sure how old I was, maybe 5 or younger, I'm 22 now and still didn't travel to Egypt but I would love to travel there and reconnect with my inner child and fulfill that childs dream. I am now studying conservation and restoration of paintings which includes wall paintings (but i also have great appreciation for archeology) and i think that Egyptian wall paintings are some of the best and one of the most beautiful and unique wall paintings that ever existed, alongside Buddhist wall paintings (just in my opinion) so seeing that in person, seeing their techniques up close and everything I studied in high school and college regarding Egyptian art would make me unbelievably happy and grateful as i can't afford that trip right now on my own and I'm not sure when I would be able to afford it, but that is definitely something that is on my bucket list and i would love to see those things in the near future!
Gosh I cried so much watching this. Just seeing the history of a country I was raised reading about and falling inlove with, shown this way was a treat. Beautiful❤
You guys really know how to tell a story, somewhat of a love story between the river Nile and the Egyptians, a love story that has influenced so much of the world as we know it and still continues to do so as it unravels. Travelling the world as a pilot has always been my first dream and coming to Egypt is definitely something I have on my to do list. You've made that desire even stronger with your last two videos. Thank you, much love.
That was absolutely beautiful! I thought about this all of yesterday. It was a hard one! I have always been a dreamer. Dreaming anything from wanting to be singer and attempting to write songs as a child only to realize that I don't enjoy writing. To wanting to be a home organizer because I love to organize. But if I really think about it my first dream as a child was to spend time with Goldie Hawn. Growing up my mom would be watching her films. I loved how vibrant her personality was and how each character was different and yet real. I grew up reading her autobiography and seeing that she herself had so much life! Although she is rarely on the screen these days she uses her platform as a philanthropist. She seems to be with true inward beauty. And I have always thought that if I met her I would just want to sit and hear her stories.
Wow! 🤩 Once again Yes Theory never fails to amaze with their extraordinary adventures! Witnessing the wonders of ancient Egypt through this video only ignites my hunger for adventure and cultural discovery even more. The thought of traversing through the labyrinthine streets of this ancient city, soaking in the rich history, and standing in awe before relics that have withstood the test of time fills me with an indescribable excitement. I've already poured my heart out in a comment on your previous video, sharing my longing to break free from the confines of routine and embark on my own adventure. For me, travel isn't just about ticking off destinations on a bucket list; it's about immersing myself in different cultures, sharing the beauty of my Moroccan and Amazigh heritage, and leaving a positive impact wherever I go. Yes Theory's ethos of embracing discomfort and seizing every opportunity to chase our dreams resonates deeply with me, and I can't think of a more fitting adventure than exploring the treasures of ancient Egypt. So here I am, once again, expressing my deepest desire to venture into the unknown, to embrace the world's wonders, and to inspire others to dream fearlessly. Thank you, Yes Family, for continuously pushing the boundaries of possibility and inviting us all to join in the journey of a lifetime. I'm ready to seize this opportunity and embark on an adventure that promises to be nothing short of extraordinary. #seekDiscomfort #LimitationsArePerceptions
Hello! Since I was a kid I've always been fascinated with faraway places and people and cultures. I've always dreamed of travelling and seeing the places I would learn about. I played music as a kid and I had a dream of playing at the Sydney Opera House someday. I had forgotten about this dream until hearing this question. I'm currently studying music, so bringing back this memory, maybe I will start to dream of this again, and someday make it a reality. Your content is ever inspiring, so thank you for what you do!
Thinking of my childhood, if I go back in time in 2012 we were in London and when my mom told me we were close to France from only a couple of miles I could not believe it, this sparked my interest for geography and inspired me to want to visit as much countries as possible and connect with the people by learning their language. Your channel has always inspired me since the very beginning I remember your first trip back to Egypt brought tears to my eyes, I knew this is what I wanted to do. Thank you so much, keep sharing your experiences and stay inspiring 💜
I have had various dreams when I was young. Jet pilot, artists, tailor, inventor, astrologist...Watching the brightest galaxy under the darkest night sky.. But I chose a stable course in architecture and ended up as an office worker, working 9 to 5 daily. Two years ago I saw your video, suddenly realized I should stop complaining and ended up registering myself in a Masters in Counselling. Everyone around me asked why and said it was a waste, but I know this is the most I could've done to find a meaningful life. Seeing Ammar, I find it lucky to have remembered a childhood dream, work through your life to achieve it. Bcoz thinking back myself, I realized these childhood dreams have been left behind. What is stopping me from achieving them? No matter what im doing right now, I always have a chance to still explore and find what inspires me.
Thank you for bridging the gap between seeing a UA-cam Video about someone finally living their childhood dream and actually waking me up from my day to day life! You really made me think about this question:) Before I could even remember how to spell the word I wanted to be a journalist, like my dad. He got to capture so many different lifes while away, I was always amazed by the stories he brought back from every corner of the world! Fast forward to today, travelling the world, I get to live so many lifes myself. Forever inspired by my dad and the Yes Theory!
My first dream as a kid that I can remember was to become a rich so that I could get rid of poverty. Having grown up in a ‘developing’ country where I’d see people living in abysmal conditions made me sad and wonder. As a grown up adult I think though that you can not be rich and still have impact through kindness in your immediate circles :) Loved the video as always!
Hi Guys.... thank you for bringing such a warm feelings and lots of epiphany moments watching your videos. But this Egypt series hits different. I want what Ammar feels on this videos, how it feels when you made your dream come true and has everyone that close to your heart be there to witness. God! Tons of emotion just to imagine if it's happen to me. I never taught to dream, so I don't have one, to dream is a luxury that I don't know how to do, my life was set to survive each day, I'm trying so hard to remember whether I had one and nothing recalled. But seeing how amazing it is to have dream, to have something to pursue like you, made me want to have one. You guys taught me how to dare to have a dream, I am now figuring out what it would be, listening to myself more and that even that is very new to me, this new excitement knowing that I can now dream is liberating! Thank you from the deepest of my heart to give me the courage to dream. You guys touch me right in the heart. Much Love!!
My childhood dream is the same dream I have today. To sing for anyone who will listen. I used to dress up like Maria from the Sound of Music or pretend to conduct a choir. I became terrified to sing in front of people and until I was 18 I never felt confident doing what I love. I have been writing songs since I was 9 and I know am slowly but surely working on demos. Y'all have been a great encouragement in pursuing my dreams when I found y'all at 18. Here's to every dreamer y'all have inspired to seek discomfort and go after what they want!
What an incredible story and so well told through this video. The amount of emotions I was able to feel while watching this was overwhelming. The way you see life and all of its obstecales is truely inspiring and is helping me to change my life for the better with taking more risks and getting outside of my comfort zone. The videos you all create never disappoint and provide me and I'm sure a lot of people with hope and wonder that helps to fuel our imagination on what is possible. The first dream I've ever had as a kid was to be able to travel to the NASA Space Station. This is because when I was younger in England where I grew up I could see the space station fly over my grandparents house as they told me it was on its orbital flight path. Sometimes it was hard to see and depended on the weather, but everytime I went over I would just look up into the sky just to get a glimps of it travelling by and wonder what it would be like to look at earth from up there. Being able to seeing where I stand, where I live and the features I would never be able to see on the ground. That was my first ever dream and something I still think about today as earth has neverending possibilities. Thank you for sharing your story with me and the whole Ammar, it really brought me back to my own childhood and the dreams I had growing up
My childhood dream was to visit Egypt and see Luxor, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings! As a child I would scour the bookstores for anything ancient Egypt related, from watching National geographic documentaries to buying almanacs for kids that had just one article or page in them about ancient Egypt, I was (and still am) as big a fan as it gets! As someone who has lived in China, Japan and the US, and originally from Bulgaria in Eastern Europe, Egypt's culture, cuisine and history have amazed me and I have felt drawn to them to the point where I believe I was part of the pharaoh's court in a past life. It would be a DREAM and an absolute privilege to win this opportunity, something that I will get to experience for both myself and my mom who I lost a few years ago at an early age, this will be for us both
Ammar these two videos from Egypt have been so inspiring to me and I know so many others. Thank you for sharing your dreams with us. When I was little, I always has small, toy models of different planes. Little RC helicopters that would last only a few days because I would accidentally crash them into the walls or nearby trees. I always dreamed of being a pilot. As I sit here writing this, I am going through flight school to achieve this dream. Throughout college, especially COVID, I remember watching so many Yes Theory videos. They got me through the period where we all were trapped and looking outside. They inspire me to this day. Thank you for always inspiring us!
Great video! As a child, i remember being fascinated by both history and nature a lot. So naturally i remember wanting to be either a biologist or a historian, really badly. My grandma really loved this, and since my grandpa was a sailor, they brought me many exotic and super cool artifacts from around the world. I am really grateful for all of that. And sometimes i still look at those artifacts and remember all the good times.
The first dream I remember as a kid was becoming a background dancer at a famous girlband in Belgium and the Netherlands, seeing the dancers as rolemodels and wishing I would be just old enough to grab this opportunity. Now, being older, I discovered that the dancers were in fact also children, rather than adults as I initially thought. I recognized that we see the world as a much larger place with endless possibilities as children, whereas things start to get into perspective as we get older, with limitations arising, removing the fun in my opinion, which is a shame. Seeing a video like this, and being confronted with the Egyptian history honestly has sparked a new reflection on what is possible and that boundaries are indeed just a perception. And that, even as an adult, the world can still amaze us, briefly bringing us back to the feeling of being small. I’m inspired by your content and mindset in general, keep up the good work!
Well, childhood feel so far and that close at the same time. Feel really inspired watching that, grew up thinking only about the magic of Egypt. Had a chance to make it once, back in 2017. Since I went there, I'm reaching out a new dream, thinking that has to be something different than Egyptian experience. Watching all the videos from Yes Theory since years ago, but I've to say that your history inspired me a lot. Happy that you finally are able to be back in your family without any kind of fear, Ammar. My dream will be just to get back to it and feel again the feeling that I had years ago, like nothing is impossible and be a dreamer again.
You continue to inspire. Thank you for sharing your journey. My childhood dreams were too many to count, but all came down to the idea of radical change to improve the world, like you all have done. Never skydived before nor been to Egypt. What an incredible journey.
This was amazing you guys. My very first dream started at 5 years old when I wanted to be a professional hockey player in the NHL (as any true Canadian kid growing up in the mountains). I ended up becoming a semi professional skateboarder instead haha. Great watch, as always. - Nick
My first dream as a child was to be an author and that was partly because I was so obsessed with reading stories from around the world and being able to "travel" in the only way I could. I'm 30 now and still haven't given up my love for reading or being an author someday. I travelled some (now I'm a student) but have never travelled to Egypt, despite it being at the top of my bucket list. It's hard to explain how ancient Egyptian history makes me feel - so fascinated and appreciative and mystified. I loved watching this video and could feel all the awe emanating from the screen!
As a child, I always had this dream of flying high and exploring different countries. It was like this deep desire to see the world beyond what I knew growing up. I think it stemmed from a curiosity about other cultures, landscapes, and ways of life. It's something that has stuck with me because it represents this sense of adventure and exploration that I've always been drawn to.
hi, Ammar! Posting my comment from the Yes Theory here. Even if I don't win, I'm just happy to remember my dream and see if I can still achieve it even on my own. As a woman who's been alive 47 years on this earth, you set aside your dreams for things you need to do in life as some people rely on you. After thinking about it, I remember now that my childhood dream is to travel to Italy and Greece. When I was younger, I was into Greek and Roman Mythology and told myself that I would visit these countries to see the famous structures that were made for the Gods and where they were worshipped. Never got close to doing this but I did get to go to shrines and temples in Japan. 😊 All the best to you and the crew of Yes Theory. You, Thomas, Staffan and the rest do wonderful work.
Your videos are amazin!!!! Looking foeward to see what comes next... Now from Paris. Exciting! When I was little, I was educated a bit like if having personal ambitions and dreams was a selfish thing... so I don't really remember having any big dreams or at least none that lasted a long time. What I do remember is being very clear that I wanted to help people and in some way I have achieved it. I have been working with children for 19 years and with a lot of effort I have make me a reputation and I currently employ more than 20 women without putting a cent on my pocket out of what they work. Our mini community is spectacular and we all feel supported.
you are all amazing and inspiering people and ammar you nephew is the cutest! when i was younger i always wished to be like david attenborough.to travel the world and see all the beauty it had to offer. i was obsessed with the shows i used them as a way to escape my reality, i didnt grow up with many channels so i would beg my mum to let me record them of vhs. so i would be able to seeing the world has alway been a wish of mine but unfortunatly it never became a reality. the odds were never in my favour i came from a very poor background in a large family so travel or many luxuries were missed out until i was able to do it for myself. in my almost 30 years on this planent ive left the uk only 2 times and and never gone out of europe. i thought it was the places and animals was my reason i wanted to travel but as i have grown i have learnt that people and our conection we have to the land is only part of the magic. i thank you all for all you do as it gives me the oppertunity to once again live the life i have always wanted through your work. and if i never get go there myself i will aways be thankful for you shearing so that i can also be part of the adventer.
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing your journey. Really happy about how everything turned out for you, Ammar. My first dream as a child was to help animals. I always wanted to be a vet, but eventually, I ended up helping not pet animals, but wild animals. As a child, I loved being in our family garden, spending time outside in the grass and looking for insects and flowers. When I finished school, I studied biology, specializing in ecology and now I am in my master's in conservation biology... and I love it! Being outside, learning about all kinds of species and complex networks and how to conserve them is fascinating. Also, I am totally into pollination biology as it combines plants and animals in such a unique and special way! My master's thesis topic is about pollination biology in Costa Rica where I spend some time in the jungle :D I am currently working in an association for nature conservation standing up for threatened animal and plant species and landscapes. It is really rewarding and by the scientific results, it does make a difference to the local community of plants and animals :) thanks for reading
Fabulous and inspiring! I literally got goosebumps watching the B-rolls. As a 24-year-old performer/magician from Slovakia, my childhood dream was to be a singer and share my stories and beliefs through music, performing at festivals for my audience. Two years ago, I built my small studio, independently recorded an album, and did a few shows. Currently, I'm crafting a track called "Pipeline" in Slovakia, infusing it with traditional Egyptian elements. Witnessing my dream of performing on stage slowly taking shape is surreal. Guys, your journey is truly inspiring. Thank you so much. Much love!
I was born and raised in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia which is a port city in the West coast, and literally right across the Red Sea is Egypt. Although we were that close to one of the wonders of the world, we were never able to visit and experience its beauty. I, now, live in the Philippines and only dream of the possibility to visit that part of the world again. As cliche as it may sound, my childhood dream was to travel the world and see all its wonders, especially since I went to an international school and met people from different parts of the world. Watching the video of your dream coming true really reminded me of home because of the desert and the camels, and seeing that angle of you flying over the pyramids gave me chills. I'm so happy for you!
🌟🌟🌟A DREAM... Growing up was a wild ride for me. The first dream I ever had was to become an actor. My childhood and homelife were pretty chaotic, and I'd escape into books like they were secret hideouts. Me and my little brother would dive into these stories, not just reading but acting them out like our own little plays. It wasn't about running away from home or even escaping; it was more like searching for something huge, something beyond the everyday chaos. Now, thinking back, I realize those childhood dreams were rooted in the pages of the books that gave me purpose. They weren't just stories; they were like a roadmap to a better place. And man, am I grateful for that. Ammar your capacity to dream big is absolutely mesmerizing and inspiring. Thank you for this video and showing those of us that believe in the philosophy, that manifesting a dream isn't always easy but it sure isn't impossible.🌟🌟🌟
It was unbeliavable to see you finally doing this, and to double down, with your dad! Simply cannot describe the beauty of this experience. I always dreamt of stars, and traveling around them I was kid. Later on when I bought my very first camera, and at the start while I was experimenting with it I just tried to take a closeup photo with my small telephoto lens of which result surprised me very well, but most importantly reminded me my childhood dreams. Filled with joy that moment I always keep on dreaming, now with a goal which reasonably qualified as impossible. For now. I would like to take the opposite of that picture once within my life, which reminded me of my childhood dreams.
Reflecting on my childhood, I can vividly recall my first dream: a heartfelt desire to end all suffering in a world plagued by division and hatred. This aspiration took root as I grew up extensively watching documentaries, experiencing the diverse ways in which people lead their lives across different cultures and nations. The struggles of others in various communities stirred something within me - a profound sense of empathy and a calling to make a difference. It was this realization that led me to pursue a career in nursing, seeing it as a tangible way to alleviate suffering and bring comfort to those in need. Beyond the confines of my profession, I aspire to contribute to larger-scale initiatives for disadvantaged individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.
As a kid I grew up watching Naruto and I loved it!!!! From that ( age of 5 ) I started my journey towards my black belt in kyukushin kai. Then finaly at 18 years old I passed my black belt with my Mom after 6 hours of test, no water no breaks it was insanely tough but we got it. Lucky as I am my Mom was there with me and we both got it. All of that to say that my dream is to go to Japan, to live the culture, see the old temples where my martial arts started, I've been studying japanese aswell for one day I wanna go and be fully imersed by this amazing culture. Love your videos its to inspiring, keep it going guys always for another Yes!!
Firstly love you guys, I've been religiously following Yes theory since a few years now and after reading your journey in the book every video seems even more unreal how far each of ya'll have come. I find it hard to explain because I'm rooting for y'all not as a fan but as though y'all are family but at the same time you guys don't even know me 😂 My every first dream as a kid (that was strong enough that I still remember it) was my fascination with walking on the moon. Space really fascinated me as child and my mom would let me buy one book (back in 3rd grade) every time we got my exam results and I would always look for a book about space with lots and lots of pictures. And I would dream of being in space and walking on the moon one day. And my inner child gets super excited everytime I get to see a clear sky filled with stars or how thrilled I get over a shooting star or see a full moon. I saw the Milky Way for the first time few months ago and I was in awe. And now as an adult I will see the northern lights soon, not sure when yet but I will do it.
When I was younger, my first dream was to become an astronaut. The stars and the mysteries of the universe held an irresistible allure, and the idea of seeing Earth from space seemed like a surreal adventure. Later, another dream emerged - to be an actor, not for fame but to convey the depths of human emotion. Both dreams, reaching for the stars and exploring the nuances of the human soul, became intertwined in my journey. Today, I reflect on the beauty of chasing dreams, from the cosmic wonders above to the profound connections within. Congratulations Ammar for believing in your dreams and making them a reality. It is truly inspiring to see! Can’t wait for the new beginning of yes theory!
Aside from my dream on the last video of wanting to be able to experience new things and make new memories with family forever, I have always had a deep interest in ancient Egypt. The scale of the architecture is incomprehensible for us even today with modern technology. To think people that long ago were able to achieve this, means they definitely knew something we didn’t and that has always given me such a strong dose of curiosity. Getting to be there and see this face to face would be something I would never forget. Cheers to everything you made possible in this series Ammar!
Egypt is definitely on my bucket list. I remember in middle school studying Egypt and social studies. Being that young, I was amazed by how the pyramids and statues were built and how hieroglyphics were carved. After watching this video, I am still amazed by the history that Egypt holds. I caught myself smiling throughout the whole video.
My first childhood Dream i can remember, was and still is to do something that my family and friends will tell there children about. I’m still not sure but life is long and there is still plenty of opportunities to get. But ammar you did it, you made sure I will tell my kids about you, every time they will doubt themselves. All love to you, keep making your family proud, all love❤
I As a child, my fascination revolved around the United States, the English language, American culture, and music. My grandest dream was to reside in New York City. Fast forward 20 years, and I found myself in Australia. After years of exploring Southeast Asia, Sydney became the first place to truly feel like home since leaving my native Poland. Life sometimes nudges us off our chosen paths to foster learning and growth, and that's precisely what I appreciate about your videos. They not only inspire, teach, and motivate but, most importantly, they restore my faith in humanity. Thank you for your dedicated work in creating them.
Your videos bring me such joy it’s amazing. You can’t help but smile and sometimes cry a little, especially now with Ammar finally being able to go back to Egypt. For my childhood dream, which is still one of my biggest dream, I don’t think it will ever be possible to come true. It was/is to meet Hayao Miyazaki, the co-founder of Ghibli Studios in Japan. His movies have shaped my childhood, me, my life, the way I think… It is such a big part of who I am today and it is thanks to that man and his friend Isao Takahata who passed away a few years ago. ❤
as a middle eastern person watching you guys since your project 30 until this day gives me motivation to be positive in life and want to give back to society and watching Ammar ,making his dreams come true gave me the motivation to do the same and starting my UA-cam channel to do all the things that I couldn't do or just left it midway, as for your question I always wanted to be an actor just to be able to live all the stunts and the action happening in the movies 27 years latter im doing my own stunts and actions on my UA-cam channel and pursuing my dreams, so nothing would delight me more than the jump but meeting the people that enhanced these vision I have which is you guys. if not in this im sure our paths will cross in the near future. all the love guys.
This video was such an ethereal experience to my inner child. Although this isn’t my first childhood dream, When I was a kid, my father bought me a book on world history. Ever since I read the chapter on Ancient Egypt, I was obsessed with Ancient Egyptian culture. I have always dreamed of seeing those amazing feats of architecture. Always dreamed of experiencing first hand, the pictures in that book that filled me with wonder. Seeing these amazing sights would truly enthral me. Keeping my fingers crossed for this awesome opportunity. Love you Yes Theory!
Your storytelling is truly remarkable. You have a gift for conveying emotions with ease and simplicity. Thank you for taking us on this journey. In your previous video, I shared my childhood dream, but I've harboured another aspiration for as long as I can recall: visiting Egypt. The allure of ancient Egypt has always captivated me. Your series has reignited my passion for this travel dream, not only to immerse myself in its mesmerizing history but also to connect with its remarkable people. Here's hoping I can make this dream a reality soon! 🤞
As an adult, reflecting on my childhood dreams, the allure of exploring diverse cultures and countries was a persistent fascination. In my younger years, I harbored a fervent desire to wander through far-off lands, immerse myself in the beauty of different landscapes, and absorb the richness of varied traditions. The idea of traversing continents, tasting exotic cuisines, and connecting with people from all walks of life ignited a sense of wonder and adventure within me. Little did I know that those childhood aspirations would shape my adulthood, as I now cherish the memories of the countless journeys that have broadened my perspective and enriched my life in ways I could only have dreamt of as a child.
Loved both of these videos! My first dream as a child I can only remember being as a two in one: to fly and to travel where my ancestors came from. I’ve already fulfilled half because of Yes Theory - in 2020 when the world stopped I finally went sky diving and convinced my best friends to join me. It was a catalyst moment for me as after I realized life is short and I should be doing what brings me the most joy. In result I quit my corporate job and started my photography business. I’ve never been happier! Thank you for telling these stories and inspiring us all! ❤
This is crazy timing, we've just been to these places in Luxor a week ago and we've felt the exact same emotions. What an awesome experience, what a great video! ❤
Commented on the other video too, but another dream I've always had is to see a formula 1 race with my dad. Cars are his life, his career and his passion and always have been. I've watched formula 1 with him every race weekend for as long as I can remember and once I was old enough to understand the sport I've also grown to love it. Watching together brought us closer than ever and to see a race live and in person would be a whole different experience. It would be so incredible. Great video once again, it's so beautiful that Ammar can finally share his wonderful country with us :)
This is beautiful💗the sky always manages to bring us comfort for some unique reason🌌
May you reach your loving stars ☺
Oh I loved your comment.
Wow, this is amazing and I wish the best for you
The first few sentences really resonated with me…I’m so grateful my older sister was there to help me thru mine. Sad and beautiful, I hope you find what you are looking for, and happiness finds you more than not.
Thank you for sharing.
I love how your nephew is just constantly in someone elses arms, it’s so sweet
❤ 🙏
What is a Jumanji life? You going to disappear into a board game?

Systemic overload...😪
Thanks to all who made this happen, you have given me a mini- vacation I could have never afforded, or physivly been able to go to.
man that's beautiful,I hope your dream comes true
Hey Ammar!
First of all, i cried the whole episode and it filled me with such a joy i neded, congrats, you guys are such inspiration from the first day I started to watch you (September 2017, right after i moved abroad to UK and I've decided to seek my own discomfort as international student)
My biggest childhood dream was to do scuba diving at Great Barrier Reef in Australia!
YNWA
@@kirstyro7211 Hello! I hope I will be there someday! YNWA!
I hope to one be as determined and know that my dreams and highest desires are able to be fulfilled.🥰🥰
💗
I have been living abroad for 14 years and only 2 months vacation. I love to travel and my dream is to have a nice camper van🚐🤩🤣👍
Wow you are so lucky and blessed. Enjoy every moment ❤
Wether it's with Yes Theory's help or not, I wish your dream to come true💛 the meaning and love we can hold for places is truly beautiful🌿
@@ella2776 love seeing you kind replies to comments 🙂
I guess Ammar's story put me in an emotionally good mood haha... but other than that, it is so beautiful to see all of these people share their dreams and witness this level of love and hope engrained deep inside people's hearts @@baidykle1 I'd like to share something back, you know🥰 (and thank you for your kind "encouragement" btw)
Awww.. Thank you 🤗 that is so sweet of you. And I wish your dreams come true too.
This dream was more than just bricks and mortar where we could all share our best bits, in respect of our differences;
it was a hope that one day, our mosaic of differences could illuminate the world’s true beauty.

Cheers.
Hey man, welcome to Egypt in advance, if you ever need some help with anything or some one to show you around i'll be more than happy to help, just hit me up
Same here, it's always nice to have a local friend in case of needing translation or confusion in general :D
since i was a kid, i have always been fascinated with history and ancient civilizations and i' dreamed of becoming an archeologist one day.

You really made me think about this question:)
Before I could even remember how to spell the word I wanted to be a journalist, like my dad.
As a grown up adult I think though that you can not be rich and still have impact through kindness in your immediate circles :)
Loved the video as always!
Hi Guys.... thank you for bringing such a warm feelings and lots of epiphany moments watching your videos.

It is really rewarding and by the scientific results, it does make a difference to the local community of plants and animals :)
thanks for reading
I find it hard to explain because I'm rooting for y'all not as a fan but as though y'all are family but at the same time you guys don't even know me 😂
My every first dream as a kid (that was strong enough that I still remember it) was my fascination with walking on the moon.
