I don’t get tearful very often but seeing the 104 year old mans happy and stress free demeanor reminded me of what life is about at the end of day. There will be stress at times, but I neglect the moments of pure, innocence and joy to worry about the stress that lives in my head.
I got an allotment garden end of last year and I’m starting to sow the plants that will feed me during the spring and summer. I’ve never been happier. It’s a lot of hard work, I come home exhausted and sleep well. I wake up feeling alive. When I ate my first salad of pea shoots it was the tastiest thing. When I started following yes theory I thought my happiness would be having parties with strangers and doing incredible things, but it turned out my happiness was in planting onions 😄 this video is really inspiring, thank you 🥹
Young men, continue doing what you are doing. You gave such admirable respect to these elderly men and I hope you take this the rest of your life, This is a great thing for young men to do, to be in the presence of such wisdom. This program was wonderful! "Don't be stressed!" love him! So sweet! Bless him. These men put a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart! Impeccable advice! When I was growing up in the Caribbean the elderly were well respected in families. They lived to very old ages. They were the matriarchs; the stalwarts of a family and the young were required to respect them, or they were considered rude not to. Not now There isn't an appreciation for the elderly nowadays for their wisdom and experience. From just what you guys have done here made me miss so much my grandma, who had so much wisdom to share about life and she lived to 95. And what she said, "don't let life get to you!" nothing different to what these gentlemen said. This video has lifted my spirits and made me truly miss the old-time way of thinking and living. I mean, they did something right! Now it is our (this generation's) duty to pass this advice on and way of living into practice in our own lives and in our children too. Get rid of the couch, tv, games, reality tv, gossip tv, bad news and go outside, grow what you eat, cook fresh, eat fresh and be happy! Thank you, guys this was a wonderful emotional program, Bless you all and every person in this program. 🙏
Wow, what an inspiring story guys! The wisdom shared by the beautiful souls living in the Blue Zones worldwide is truly remarkable. It's disheartening that in today's fast-paced world, we perceive the simple life as extraordinary and rare. Yet, this simplicity is how life was meant to be lived. Many of us feel adrift and conflicted in our current lives, struggling to keep pace. The solution lies in returning to our roots as humans, embracing a life connected to the land, nourishing ourselves with pure, healthy food, and fostering communities built on peace and harmony. Thanks for yet another amazing story.
It is wonderful to see a situation of a pure life, no one walking around with their phone stuck to their face, no traffic, no big tech anywhere. You all have such infectious personalities that you bring our the beauty in people. This is so refreshing.
I said that yo my husband while waiting for my apt, I'm 34 and in sitting in a waiting room hand sewing some final touches on a velour jacket I just made and I look up and everyone else is literally on their phone, I stopped looked at my hubby and was like babe whats wrong with this sinario he's like your the only one sewing im like no all you guys need to put your phones down and enjoy the smaller things in life. Remember when it wasn't that long ago when people actually conversed and did things while in waiting rooms like puzzles, word searches some offices used to have game consoles. Now... you all stink, let me know if you level up your online scrolling b.s or shorts.... or should I make a video on how I sewed a button on my hand made jacket, scoff no one cares lol.
My mom is from Ikaria, but has lived most of her life in Canada, she is 93, lives alone, cooks, and keeps her place clean. I lived there too not far from George and Eleni in the next village. I too learned to live the Ikarian way, a diet of little meat, fish and those healthy green! Yasas! Love to laugh and try my hardest not to be stressed or sad.
Wooow, the most wholesome episode, guys! I had already watched the Greece video on the main channel, and this one managed to be even better 🥹❤️ You all have such a pure soul, I can feel Thomas’ and Staffan’s sensitivity just by watching the way you talk and interact with the locals! Outstanding work, as usual! So much love for Yes Theory ❤️🫶🏻
I absolutely love your spirits and smile through your entire story each time. It is one of my greatest wishes to hug Stefan. His love and energy is unbelievable. Yall are all such good people and your messages of love are welcome!
These are the episodes i look forward to the most. People and places that are more less isolated from the rest of the world. People who slow down and appreciate what they have right in front of them. They live for the happy moments that come to them, instead constantly going in search for the things that will make them happy. Everyone in this town all said that stress in the one thing they all try to avoid, and i believe that starts with excepting the life we have for what it is, no matter what comes at us, instead of excepting the things we can not change and constantly worrying about the things we can not change. Life will always throw us a curve ball, but how we deal with those events is what matters the most. We can find happiness in all things, its up to us weather or not if we choose to. To everyone who reads this, may you all find happiness and peace in your in life, even in the times when it is hard to see all the beauty this world has to offer.
Great and eye-opening video as always. One thing all the blue zones have in common is they all prefer the simple lives. I agree, people are too wrapped up in the conveniences that have come about in the recent years. How our ancestors lived is how humans are meant to live, and we should get out and about in nature, getting our body active. I hope I can start being more proactive in my day to day life and I challenge everyone else watching to start doing so as well.
Reading “Talk To Strangers” right now, so grateful to learn more about the Yes Theory origin story and how over arching the actual friendships are always central to making the journeys meaningful. Friendship knows no age based agenda and binds across generational perceived gaps. Thank you all
This video has to be one of my favorite. Life does have its ups and downs. We can’t always want to be up. We need to learn to live in the middle. Honestly I cried, it was beautiful said. The 104 year old man is an inspiration to all, always be grateful and happy x I hope everyone has a great day!❤️
Yes Theory and Seek Discomfort have empowered me to overcome fears and connect with people from different parts of the world. True friendships know no boundaries. My experience highlights the positive impact of meaningful content on fostering genuine human connections. Because of you I met my trusted friend from Cairo, Please Keep embracing new experiences and spreading positivity!
I really enjoyed this story. I have been to Greece, Athens, once, and it was not the most beautiful to see. I am sure that travelling to a different island in Greece, everything will change and I will love it so much. I need to give this country another try. And also, seeing Thomas and Staffan so close gives me bromantic vibes. :)
As a greek i have to thank you for respecting and showing how beautiful my country is even though it ain't perfect. You guys did an amazing job with both videos (this + the one on the main channel).I have to say that Mr.Zacharias warmed my heart and i wish him to live lots and lots of years and be forever the ray of sunshine he is😊
Love all your videos. Now when I am approaching 60 years old , I can really understand people who wants to live quality life as long as they can. Certainly I am one of them and my motto is enjoy everything, need nothing
18 minutes and 49 seconds with so many life lessons!!!! Just smile and make it simple!! Love over fear! Great video guys!!! Keep it strong guys! We love you! As we live in greece, Icaria is one of the most interesting places in GR. Loved the way of life of the Icarians! Mr. George is Tottaly a seek discomofrt person !! Loved his quotes and attitude to life!
I’m so grateful to be able to hear these incredible people speak, these videos always remind me that we are all one and must learn from each other always, it’s beautiful absolutely beautiful.
and often I forget how much work you put into every single video - filming is one part, researching, organizing, traveling and doing these trips just like the hichaking video through china looks like hella work but you just do not only travel but filming it and making an incredible, eye opening and interesting and entertaining video. thanks for all of that but take care : )
A true and inspiring story. 😊This "lifestyle" should be teached in schools... thank you for sharing it! Hope, a lot of (young) people will be motivated to live closer to the nature. 😊
I love that you did this video cause I watched the previous one and this just explains it all I love y'all I watch your greatness every day sending you and everyone in the family positive energy and prosperity in abundance you are all greatness so grateful for u and your platform ☮️💜♐ Family
Damn, this episode solidified my plan to spend the summer 2025 on a sabbatical, working on a permculture farm and reconnecting with some of the essences of being human. Thanks, guys, for the work you do. Blessed be.
Awesome video! I was born in Samos, and the people there are similar to the people in Icaria. They really do live in a different world and experience life with a childish and childlike attitude. As a result, it’s not so easy to live there permanently, but if you're into it, you're definitely going to love it.
Trying to figure out how I just found you all today. As have been a world traveler until I retired a few years ago, I am honored to have found you all traveling as I have. I'm not a tourist. I want to find THE people. I have watched 5 videos and thank you for what you do.
😅 hats off to him so cal he's def a survivor at this point sending u positive energy and prosperity in abundance I'm in tx and it's tough but we .. . I will survive
I love your videos but I am blind in one eye and visually impaired in the other and I am genuinely intrested in what everyone's saying but it is very hsrd to read the subtitles, maybe you could show the translator briefly explaining it as well. But still one of my favorite channels ever regardless! Thank you for always being so inspiring! 🤍
Hunza in Pakistan is also a blue zone that not many people know about and there is no alcohol there but dry fruits too many fruits and dry fruits and its surrounded by mountains lots and lots of mointains so its hella beautiful
Loved this video, great content. Warning to anyone ordering a "mystery box"... don't. It isn't a box and the items aren't more than the cost you pay. Trust me
Im half greek and I speak a bit of greek but not fluently and it made me giggle at 4:15 when the host said "you speak greek?" and staffan respondonded with "i speak staffanos" - sorry if my spelling is a bit off. But regardless of that amazing video :)
It's funny how the guys in the gas station restaurant tell you about clean air, yet one is smoking a cigarette😄...the 104 y/o was awesome...still smiling after all these years 😊
Hey guys, I'm seeing if you can send me on a trip for a few days with the Iceman. Hoff I struggle day to day and was seeing if a trip would be possible. Your vids drew so many tears from me I could have an ocean named after me.

Exactly
Milk the good moments
💯
The importance of the advice given by the farm owner about "living in the middle" cannot be overstated. That is good stuff right there.
Best thing the first guy says is clean air. While he’s ripping a cig. Sorry too funny 😂
I was about to comment on the same thing hahah 😂
I'm greek and I laughed so hard
The dog and the cat walking side by side like that just about made me cry! OMG I Love that!
No way they came to my island when I wasn’t there you had to meet my great grandma 99 years old

Whats an allotment garden?
