We're not gonna talk bend radius? I k ow y'all rock climbers use such skinny ropes that it's way less of an issue, but if you're pushing limits, its worth noting that it's the tight bend that weakens a rope in a knot, and the tight bend around a tiny sheave will have a similar effect.

Good point but it’s also a fight against weight. Gear is always trying to be lighter. Even with the big sheave the hole are drilled to make it lighter. But I agree you need a good radius although ropes are whipping on carabiner that are getting very thin nowadays….

@BetaClimbers an excellent counterpoint regarding whipping on skinny biners. Of course, stretchy ropes help a lot with this issue, and of course, lighter is almost always preferable when climbing. I'd definitely use the shit outta that DMM revolver for whatever. I use all kinds of smaller than ideal setups. I had to pull a tree with a nasty lean in a weird direction and broke out all but one of my pulleys. Ended up using over 600' of rope in a space only about 75' long, and had a 5/8" rope running through a DMM Pinto Rig. Rope showed no unusual wear with about 1500# of force. Climb on brother. You ever climb with a guy from CA named Alberto? He used to travel out to your neck of the woods for various rope access gigs and would always seek out heads to show him where the good rock was.
