- This is a comparison of the Strymon Brigadier with the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe. The MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe is by now a modern classic and besides the modulation, you can also choose between a dark and a bright setting.
Therefore, I decided to compare these two green digital delay pedals.

The vibrato setting on the Brigadier sounds especially nice.
How do you get at the internal dipswitches in the Carbon Copy Deluxe? The bottom backplate does not have regular screws.
you can see the switches through the battery compartment
The Strymon really shines on the modulation settings, but the repeats on the carbon copy are hard to top
You need a mini drone camera for those swooping shots. :). Nice comparison. Doesn't the Brigadier have a full 5 second delay? What advantage does the MXR have?
the sound
MXR is an analog delay and not faking it.
@@bassyey Just because analog delays were invented before digital doesn't make the earlier technology more legit. That's like saying digital cameras are faking it.
did you notice any degradation of tone with either pedal?
Mir sounds earthier .
Well done
CCD or rubberneck? If you could only have one.
Out of those it comes to taste. A uncommon but great pedal is the G-Lab Smooth Delay. The MXR CC deluxe is great, but I love the EHX Deluxe Memory Man 550 TT as well.
Rubberneck is unreal good with the effects loop option and just the insane amount of modulated tape delay sounds you can even get. But even with its basic easy analog delay settings it’s pure tone magic. Best pedal I own and I own quite a few.
One is Chinese, one is American (if that matters to you)
def CCD. no second thoughts.
@@alecalfaras5936 Made in China and now priced at $350 lol. I'll take the $200-pedal.
The strymon don’t scratch the analog itch it might as well be an option on a digital delay. It’s good but Money Hype. I would be happy with the mxr on that one. I thought I had a delay problem. I think if you get rid of all of them and keep just the mxr and the dod , the road to recovery will have you concentrating more on your playing in no time. They don’t make the rubbernecker anymore. Carbon copies are plentiful on reverb. They can’t sell them a penny more than 160. Right now So keep the DOD and make some money and some jams. Right?. Peace
What about a tape delay? I would keep the MXR or the DOD and get a nice tape delay instead of the other analog delay.
Hi Guys 😍💋 💝💖
