Edit: I love how vulnerable Sora is when she talks about Planes and that Subaru wants to take Sora sky diving. I do hope that we get to see more of SoraSuba collabs cause they have this sisterly vibe. Sora being the older sister while being more cautious and somewhat shy and Subaru being the outgoing and energetic younger sister.

I think Sora fear involves free falling, not heights. So when entering a plane, she gets paranoid about it losing control and crashing, while in bungee she has a sense of security with the cable, feeling more safe.
plus with her having motion sickness, it is more understandable why she cannot handle flights.
if i were her, i would also be paranoid as to how i cannot really think straight with both of the motion sickness and the fear controlling me at that time

Skydiving with Subaru is extremely safe. She's a bird after all so she can fly.

Subaru's afraid of bungee because she has PTSD from Marine's Bungee Gum, which has the properties of both rubber and gum.
Speaking of magic, Subaru has some crazy conversational magic that not only puts everyone else at ease, but also brings out the best in conversation topics with rapid give-and-take.

Well Subaru is an all rounder. She can swim on water, run on land, and fly on the sky so there is nothing scares her when it comes to outdoor 😅😊
As someone who's done both many times: Bungee is absolutely worse.
With Skydiving the scary part is leaving the plane. Once you do you're flying and it's all excitement and as soon as you touch down you want to go back up again.
With Bungee, the ground is right there, you walk off a plank with your legs tied and every instinct says to NOT fall off. It feels like throwing yourself off a building. And when you do it's head down, feet up, plunging toward the rapidly-approaching ground. No sensation of flying, only of approaching death.
We definitely need more Sora-Subaru collabs... everyone notices it by now that Subaru, somehow, brings out the most natural reactions out of Sora, and you can really feel she let's her "senpa-guard" down around Subaru. You almost never see Sora talking this way, like between just good friends, joking and kidding around. Sora can really use that Subaru magic!

The irony of a girl named Sora being afraid of sky activities is not lost on me.
I'll take sky diving over bungee jumping or roller coasters any day, since in sky diving you have more chances of surviving since you have enough time to react compared to the others.

As a general aviation pilot, planes are pretty safe, its the pilot that tends to be teh weakest link. Especially if they skimp on maintenance (Which they aren't allowed to do) That being stated, airlines are VERY safe (This coming from a regional Airframe+Powerplant technician). The amount of maintenance and inspections that go into planes that fly airlines make accidents rating happen damn near 0% (It's like .0001%) especially due to computers taking over most of the time. Planes will even log faults into a diagnostic computer so maintenance technicians can find the problem faster and fix the issue. Pilots will even put down a fault that lasted less than a few seconds as an open write up to be fixed or atleast operationally tested to ensure they're good. A LOT of regulation goes into flying and aircraft maintenance.
I've done one skydive. The hardest part of skydiving if you do a tandem jump is getting in the plane and jumping out of it. The pressure will get you in the plane so you don't inconvenience people. Your tandem partner will push you out of the plane so that part is easy enough. Just enjoy the ride. Its not nearly as bad as you think it is...just loud.
Well, scheduled air carrier (part 121 in FAA-speak) makes GA look like death trap, and GA is pretty damn safe.
If anything, I'd be more concerned with the drive FROM/TO the airport than the actual flying part, simply due to the amount of idiots on the road who probably got their driver's licence from a cereal box.
So basically, Sora does not like unpredictable things that she can't control? If she knows what disaster will come and if it's her own fault then it's fine, lol
