I feel bad for them when people send those kinds of messages. Some people do fake sui-side and illnesses to get attention. But regardless of whether its real or not, the streamer either has to acknowledge it, and likely make the stream less energy and more sad, or ignore it and risk being called out. Also the fact that people can SC any and all of their problems to complain, while usually the streamer keeps their personal issues to themselves, like its very rare to see moments like Coco crying, Nene admitting she was depressed, etc, when the reality is, likely all of them struggle with some big issues.

she's an angel. i love that she's taking extra steps for accessibility. even if its just watching her move around you get enjoyment and wanted to pay her back so she gave you that small reward of attention but it was true attention so it could be called attentiveness. the small slice of life moments are the clippable bits for as much fun as getting clips of sneeze (tskr) and HI HONEY or small things that get your attention, there's also ritualistic moments like "if i lose, i will subject myself to a punishment" and then the first thing that happens in the next stream is the punishment happens if it's the kind of thing where you have to go out and buy the disliked soda or extreme hot snack food or super sour candy. the things you can do to draw in viewers are really more about keeping promises to existing viewers and making sure they're entertained, including those who watch the stream after it ends, archive viewers are valuable as well due to the nature of youtube and the number of views a video gets affects some sort of placement in an internal system that recommends videos to people.

This is so wholesome! I can relate a lot to Yui-san, in a way. I barely know any Japanese, yet I still watch Kanata, Miko, Pekora, etc, because I enjoy their streams so much. @@HS-ts5wf I beg to differ! You can have a pretty good understanding of who they are from their expressions, actions, and what they enjoy doing. I don't need to hear Pekora say "I enjoy blowing people up" to understand she's a Hololive war criminal. It's enough to see her plan and make elaborate TNT traps over and over and see her laughing her ass off each time someone falls for it. Sure, there's bound to be some things you can't pick up without sound, but to say there's no personality at all if you can't hear them is a bit of a stretch.

Not deaf, but hard of hearing (is this how you say it in English ?), so I kind of understand what this person feels.
I also really enjoy Hololive's streams. Even if I can't enjoy it to the fullest (mostly singing streams), I really enjoy watching them. It helps forget about my hearing issue (though I'm not really affected by it), and everything else going wrong in my life. I really love how hard working they are, and all the positivity they share.
Also thank you, everyone of you making subs. Some may say it's useless when it comes to Holo EN's videos, but in my case, I couldn't thank you enough. I'm not English, but French. Sadly there aren't many French subbers, so I gotta do with English (thank god I'm pretty good at English due to watching eng subbed animes and eng dubbed so I could improve over the years). It's a really great help.
Thanks to all of you, and to Hololive. Some time ago, I still didn't know what I wanted to do. Even though I'm almost 24 years old. But thanks to you all, I've finally got an idea, and I want to help Hololive members' positivity and hard work to be shared to an even larger audience, so even with my handicap, I'm studying Japanese at college. University over here, LEA (Langues Étrangères Appliquées, aka foreign languages) with a major in English and Japanese. My goal is to become a translator, to make light novels more popular in France, and to share more content.
So again, a big thank you to everyone, to Hololive, translators and to the fans, for helping me, and many other people finding a place they belong to, finding motivation and hope. I'm not fond of sharing my feelings but I still gotta say I love you. Not in a romantic way of course, but as comrades.

I have hearing problem too that's why i block every clippers who is not putting their subs in their clips (especially EN clippers)

I don't block them, I just don't watch them. Clippers who only clip and not translate, edit or add subtitles offer nothing new to the market and just take less effort. I rather spend my time watching those who put their effort into their clips. Also, having subtitles really helped a lot considering English is not my native language

How is someone able to enjoy a VTuber livestream if they're deaf? There are no subtitles and there are no lips to read.

I know how Kanata feels, it's really frustrating at the beginning and down the line still very frustrating because you can't hear well. I'm partially deaf, my left lost about 90% hearing and my right ear is starting to degrade as well, hell I feel sound more than I hear it anymore but thanks to learning to feel sound I can get by and even enjoy ASMRs.
