- How does the OLOH Crew pass the time on a long offshore run? You'll find out in this video and maybe learn a thing or two about a few celebrities and their boats. Plus the Admiral is at it again in the galley, southern style this time around, paying homage to the holy trinity.
We aim to give you a a feel for life aboard for us and hope you enjoy it, perhaps relate to it or maybe even learn something. But it's simply our story. Nothing more, nothing less.
Here's the link to the recipe for our fantastic lunch that we featured:

ON TARGET...what a great video...casual...entertaining...informative.......just what people love. You guys seem to hit it out of the park with nearly every video you produce. Well done...and Thank You!!!
Thank YOU George! We're so glad you enjoyed it and always appreciate the feedback. Hope you guys are well. Cheers!
Another great production!! Trish loves the cooking with the Admiral and can’t wait to try your OlohGumbo. We both enjoyed the whole video and thank you for sharing your life’s and the hard work editing. All shots great, nice transitions and liked the music picks.
All the BEST and Happy TGiving! T-n-T
#bobross🏆
Thanks T-n-T! You know how much we appreciate your feedback and are so glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you guys out there before too long!
Great video again ! Bloodline was my all time favourite on Netflix..
Our run about was a 200 Sea Ray wakeboard boat. It was a great little boat to play o while we were anchored in the California Delta. OMgosh Capt AJ “rue the day” lol I mood cook, so its never the same. Looks great TIm.
Bloodline was AWESOME! We liked it so much, we watched it again and we also have our Rayburn House gear. :)
You guys are still the best and we can hear you just fine!!
And for Bloodline and having a sport fishing business in Islamorada many years ago we must have watched the entire series 3-4 times!!!! One of our favorite series of all time, and we have the perfect series to bring the show back, and believe or not to bring the brother that died, back in!! What, sounds crazy I know, but if you know the writers, we should talk, and this is no joke!!
Keep up the great work guys! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey Stephen - love that you have a Bloodline 2.0 ready to go! We do think the show captured a piece of the Keys vibe really well, murder and mayhem aside. Well, maybe some mayhem. Thanks for the kind words and cheers to you!
We loved Admiral Tim’s cooking lesson and Gumbo. Thank you, bravo and well done!
Thank YOU John. If you didn't catch the link, you'll find the recipe here: myoloh.com/seefare-oloh-gumbo/
Omg now I know you. I loved you on ET, and I even love you both more here in this setting, and Tim that gumbo looked amazing.
😊 Too kind Ari. Cheers!
That Gumbo looks great. Hope it did taste great as well ! Btw, don't hesitate, get that inverter charger, add some solar panels and say goodbye to using the generator all day long. Love the Bob Ross in the back ground. Remember......................there are no mistakes, only happy little accidents. 😀
This gumbo looks amazing!!!😋🍹
Awesome vlog as usual guys and the interview segment was hugely fun. And Tim, love the cooking segments, I am the same with expiration dates lol
Thanks Scimi! Who are these mad scientists that come up with expiration dates anyway?!
I enjoyed that one. Very cool, that looks absolutely delicious.
Thanks! (And yeah, it was 😄)
Well, so much for my diet.
Thanks a lot Admiral Tim.
🤨 😂
Ha! Well we are big believers in small portions...although I guess eating 4 small portions is no different than eating 1 big one! 😂
Enjoy your videos. We keep our boat on the Mohawk right above the Waterford flight. Mostly cruise the Erie, Champlain canals and down the Hudson stopping in Catskill and Kingston to hang out a few days.
We need more tipsy Admiral cooking segments please!! I'm making that gumbo tomorrow. :)
What makes you think he was tipsy??!!🤣🤣🤣
Great video guys.
I legit like the interview thing, what a great way to pass some time and have a laugh. I might just try it sometime. Cheers!
You might be surprised as to just what you'll learn about someone you thought you knew very well!
I was lucky to be able to Co- Captain on a delivery of a 70' yacht to Sitka Ak from Seattle and then bring the boat back from Prince William Sound in the fall. The owner had an amazing inverter system that could run the whole boat for 2 days at anchor without starting either one of the Northern Lights generator's. So nice to have the quiet for sleeping and being in a secluded cove with no other boats to bother with generator noise. I would definitely make your next upgrade a nice inverter setup. Safe travel's 😎
That is definitely the plan! Thanks for your note.
Hello from New Zealand. Love your cooking episodes and this was especially hilarious 😂
Thanks EB! We often shoot stuff and say that we'll never actually use it. This was one of those times. And somewhere along the way we changed our minds 😄
Great gumbo lesson! 👍
Thanks! 😃
We watched all of Bloodline as it came out each season. I can’t believe we never talked about it.
You guys are great! Thanks for the tip on Bloodline. Very good video.
Thanks Bruce - really appreciate that. And yeah - Bloodline's pretty great and a nice chance to spend time in the Keys (despite the bad people).
Fun video. Alas no one in our house likes to cook. At all. The gumbo looks fantastic.
So glad you enjoyed it John. The rest of the OLOH Crew is very lucky that cooking is simply part of Tim's life as an artist.
Dang,that looks yummm.
Great video guys made me hungry ,keep them coming.
Thanks Thomas!
We absolutely loved Bloodline!
Such a great show!
I always wondered what you guys did for a living and I've created some of my favorite meals out of just what I had after a few drinks.. I just wish I could remember how I did it the next day.
HA! That's why you've got to keep the camera rollin'!
Great video enjoyed it all thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Mike.
Gumbo looks AWESOME! Have fun guys, stay safe out there.... just seen you posted the recipe, thats great going to try it for sure.. Peace..
Let us know how it goes! Cheers 😎
Another great video, guys. And I'm always on the lookout for a good Netflix series so I'll check out Bloodline. Thanks!
Thank YOU Bill! Please let us know how you like Bloodline. We loved it!
That was your best video yet! I loved the unvarnished look into your lives! We live on our boat too but up on the St. Johns so a bit different type of boating.
Thank you Kirk - we're so glad you enjoyed this different slice of our life on the water.
Are you up the St Johns in Florida? If so, we've never made that turn off the ICW but know a lot of people who really enjoy spending time up there and it's been on our list to check out.
@@OLOH Indeed we are. We are north of Orlando in a small marina. Our work is nearby hence the location but have bigger dreams of cruising like you do.
We Loved Bloodline.
OK,in 2014,I was homeless, till my SS started.First 3 months I slept under the 17th st. bridge in Ft Lauderdale.Who's yacht was there? Seven Seas. With the chopper on board.Nice lil boat.
Again another great video and loved your mutual interviews. If you decide to do more of that, I would love to find out about your different transitions from the smaller boats to OHLO. As a matter of fact anything you would interview yourselves on, would be interesting anyway. Cheers!
Thanks Michael. We'll probably be doing more of that in the future as wwe do get so many questions sent to us all the time. Cheers to you!
One love, one heart?
Let's get together and feel alright! You got it. After all, that's what boating's all about, right? 😎
Lekker man lekker
I ever win n move to Florida again n have my boat,it WILL have a Seakeeper.
Move over Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart here comes admiral Tim in the kitchen or should I say galley Looked delicious … AJ I wish we could’ve seen your face when Spielberg said he had hated those 3 years travel around the world in my multi million dollar yachts breaks I bet you we’re ready to walkout of there lol
Ha! SS clearly still loves yachting and exploring (he's building another yacht), just not being away from work for too long. We had a much more in depth conversation about yachting off camera on a different occasion.
Don’t worry you didn’t mislead me thinking he hated yachting… It was clear in his interview and your video that he hated the not working part of those 3 years travelling… maybe I should’ve put more emphasis on the “BREAKS” part of my comments … lol Have a nice week
Hey,sometimes I toss a bunch of stuff in a pot to get rid of it and it turns out to be the best I ever ate.
How about a SeaKeeper for your boat and your dog?
As we mention in the video, we did upgrade OLOH's stabilizers and are now very pleased with the comfort they provide. We did consider a SeaKeeper when we undertook the project but decided on a different approach. We outlined our upgrade process here: myoloh.com/olohs-stabilizer-upgrade/
My wife and I are just about to make the leap to selling the house and living aboard. I’m currently in the USCG Captain’s course and doing the OUPV Masters license. Not that it’s required, but the knowledge is invaluable. You guys are our favorite maritime yachting UA-cam channel.
Are you full time aboard or part time?
That is so kind of you - thanks! In our perfect world we are living on OLOH in hopefully warm weather from around October through May, then basing on land and using the boat more like seasonal boaters from late spring through early fall.
That is so terrific that you are getting your ticket. We are stunned by the number of boaters that haven't taken so much as a basic safety course. We've been at this for a a while now but consider it a continuing education and learn something every day, whether it's out on the water or from the voracious reading we do. The lifestyle is most definitely about enjoyment but we believe it needs to be taken very seriously.
Please keep in touch and let us know how the transition goes.
See you out there!
Bloodline was a great series and ended way too soon!
Hey guys are u heading back up to New York with the boat for are u keeping it down in Florida
Our plan is to return north in the spring to revisit some of our favorite destinations and discover some new ones.
While I look forward to each of your episodes, I do wish that you guys would look into better audio. During your interviews, the background noise of the engines made it almost impossible to understand what you were saying. I don’t know the answer. But, I’m sure there is a better solution. And, thanks for your continued posts.
Thanks for your note William. Ah, the audio. Often our biggest challenge with these videos. Sorry it's caused some difficulty. We have been actively working to address it without turning things into too much of a major production that interferes with the spontaneity of how we like to shoot. Hopefully you'll hear an improvement down the line.
What IS freezer burn?
Freezer burn is when food has been frozen too long and starts to become completely dried out (loses all the moisture & starts to disintegrate) 😥
@@Mark-pm9nh There's also a very distinctive odor/flavor; curious what that comes from. Have never seen any testing.
Kind of roux the day but not rue the delicious gumbo.
As long as it doesn't get roux-ined!
@@OLOH Easy peasy...take two OLOHritas and all will be well.
I loved Bloodline but hated the ending. I didn’t think it fit at all.
