I love the format of these videos. Im a complete noob to traditional fighting games (sf6 is my first), so having a resource where I can go to look at any character's bread and butter combos as well as their general gameplan is incredibly helpful
It for sure beats most guides out there that just information overload. It's funny that this isn't really a guide but he lays out some simple and effective tools in a easy to digest manner.
Was looking for a guide for Guile , just to see what his combos look like and his general game plan , couldn’t have found a better video / format for character guide , keep it up man these are great ❤
I love this video format over dumping 15 combos back to back. You actually talk about his normals, what links and cancels with some frame data (without going too deep into number crunching). Then you showcase some actual gameplay. Only thing I'd add is maybe showing the whole sets would be beneficial instead of last rounds only. But I suppose that could make the video a bit too long.
honestly this video is so helpful. Learning guile and I can do most of the combos but never really knew what I should be doing. Glad I can watch this and see what kind of stuff I should do. Still working on that flashkick after the target combo instead of level 1 TT.
6:30 I was able to more reliably land this combo than the intermediate 8 trial where you have to link OD boom into flack kick. Thank you for having your inputs on, it made it very easy to see where the charges are and adjust my timing!
Yeah I don't see how that one is an intermediate combo, tbh. I think you have maybe 1 or 2 frames of leniency both to start the charge and to release it once you're charged.
This series is great to learn new characters and get some good starter information. I would love to see you do a “how to punish/beat” series for each character. Thanks for all the content! Always awesome!
I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting comfortable with comboing into supers. I know my inputs are sloppy, but I swear there are times I’m inputting it right and other stuff is coming out. Very tough to work through.
Apologize if already mentioned but I'm pretty sure you can cancel flash kick into L3. Input should be charge 19HK > 46HK. It's a little tricky but it cancels.
Excellent video Nephew thank you, I have a question, I played with Guile 8/10 Matches I won but the league was Platinum 5 Star but I Played with Blanka 5/10 the league was Diamond I guess with blanka the rivals were more strong than guile I dont know the algorith the game used...
im pretty dexent at combos in this game, for example, i have no problem canceling cammys charge up kick into lvl 3, but with that said, i do not understand how to cancel flash kick into lvl 3 at all considering it takes a charge for the kick and the super. Any tips anyone?
@@Guaranteed_JET i got it down, as u hit up for the charge kick, just do the command for the super once and it will come out, because the input for the flash kick will also serve as the first input for the super
@@Guaranteed_JET oh forgot to mention, as your charging the flash kick, make sure u are charging down back instead of just down, then after hitting up, just hit left right one time + the button
Burning Straight to Level 2 is easy, but I'm having a hard time with its execution. Looking at the input on the left side, it looks like B+HP, db+p,db+p,db+p. Do I not need to actually do the qcb, qcb + P?
If you don't mind, do you have a good way of doing flash kick into level 3 on leverless? I keep looking for info and everything is either with old socd or not around. Thanks for the video, really good stuff
Guiley man has another new target combo - CMK, FMP. It's kinda hilarious up until like Gold - newer players have no idea they have to block high on the second hit and will get hit by this over and over.
It still works on master players ,since cr mk is used as a keep away punish most player aren’t looking for the I we head ..And now that cr mk on counter can link to other buttons?people be looking for the second swipe to the foot and not thinking about the over head .
I learned it through the combo trials. The example show the input of the dummy. You gotta charge diagonally. Down back to up forward (flash kick) and as the first hit land you do the motion for the lvl3 using the same directions as the flash kick you just did. Hope this helps 👌
There's no real trick to it outside of A LOT practice. You have to hit Foward + Punch almost at the same time. It's a very small window (3 or 4 frames).
It’s one second of holding before you can use it. If you’re comboing with it, preemptively hold down as soon as you input the strikes. It’s tough at first, but once you figure out the timing, it gets a lot easier
That's not because of modern controls, but rather because grapplers in general are quite easy to play. However, they also are easy to counter. The reason why zangief is rated low tier by a lot of players certainly isn't that they can't execute his combos.
I hope you guys realize guile is not a pick up and carry to high levels character..That’s why he’s the least played ..Rashid came out and there was countless master ranks within a day ..Stop saying he’s easy mode because he only had two main special moves .
Guile is THE MOST HOED of the main cast!!! Ken and akuma and even ryu got so many options…. Guile’s buttons aren’t good enough to justify him only having 3 special moves….
"i can probably climb back no problem" *hard cut to manon with 5 medals in round 3*
With a perfect ko under her belt
"Level 2 is very situational, you'll never really use it" Proceeds to use it in 5 out of 6 placement matches lol
that "situation" pops up a lot I guess, lol

You definitely can cancel flashkick into super. Db, uf+k, db, uf+k. You can do it from 1 cr. Mp but not from the 2nd hit after the target combo
this is the one i been waiting for!
awesome, thanks! great vid.
Thanks Nephew !!
