Great videos.subbed Although I would have key of then plug in to the aldl then you don't risk a voltage spike to the VCI. I've been fighting for days trying to load this freaking software.lol👍
I have a Windows 7 laptop I don’t use anymore - would you install on that or my Win 10 laptop? I really like the idea of keeping an eye on the battery cells. I’m still inside the 8 year Voltec warranty and I’d love to keep the car for a long time but worry about those cells!
Cool, I have a launch XL431 ELite Pro that is hand held and android based and does all this. It's good to know it does it right so now I know what to look for in its menus because I saw all these voltages but didn't know how to read them. Thanks. Though I did hear that the voltage should be checked when the battery has been depleted. I think both makes sense, when topped off and when depleted.
IF you have a bad cell do not let your battery fall below 2 or 3 bars to keep away from that. If HV battery is being allowed to dip below the 30% hard floor when you run through your full charge. You may get Codes P0AFA, Recalls N172130462 and N172130463 were supposed to prevent this issue. Especially if they said something like "There are no outstanding recalls." or "All recalls have been preformed." My car is dead cause I did get P0AFA and P1E00 Code a bad cell will do that, be
If any part of the software like the VX manager is obtained from nefarious sources it could have a trojan virus. I think the VX manager software literally was developed from nefarious sources.
Hey there thank you for the video, before I buy one of these things, my 2012 Chevy Volt with 132000 miles has been dying on me in the middle of freeway, engine not available, propulsion power reduced. This is happening at least 15 times, the dealer is unable to diagnose it, I had the HPCM2 to recall done which passage deal with battery cell balancing, it did not fix the problem any ideas?
@@wacobrian9085 Hey Tommy, no unfortunately not it was at the dealership for another month to no avail, then it was stolen and recovered last week, and then this week a sofa fell Out of a truck at 80 miles an hour on the freeway and did $12,000 worth of damage. so suffice to say it’s not my problem anymore LOL
Thank you for making this detailed yet to the point video. This is a good example of the best and highest use of UA-cam.
