- Join us for our first ever visit to Bellewaerde!
This fantastic family theme park first opened in 1954, meaning this is Belgium's oldest operating theme park! The park is also located on the grounds where the WW1, Battle of Bellewaerde took place. The park is named after an old castle that still stands near the main entrance today.
Much like Lou's home park Chessy, Bellewaerde started off as a zoo & safari before expanding into the theme park it's known as today.
We fell in love with this beautiful park & managed to experience all of the rides & attractions on offer including Huracan, the Topple Tower & of course Amazonia, the new rapids for 2024!
The park is also home to a waterpark but on this visit we didn't have time to explore this!
We highly recommend a visit to this park & look forward to returning soon to experience the waterpark!

@@happymummyshopper we absolutely love Port Aventura! It's probably our favourite park just for sentimental value to us as well, Parc Asterix is also a beautiful park! Walibi Belgium is also on our to do list! Xx
