I feel like Marss could start crouching under platforms a bit more so it's easier to cover scaredodges while avoiding the risk of getting daired through the platform. That usmash whiff because he didn't account for Sparg0 fading back was tragic, especially because he proceeded to drop two fair 1 bairs right after. The ZSS Cloud MU sucks because he gets more chances to win neutral, can do it more easily, and can capitalize harder. I don't really play a ton of Ult anymore, but usually what I'd do against Cloud approaching with bair was to answer by either drifting back or full forward with rising bair instead of trying to catch him with zair. This way, I could get better positioning and pressure earlier on, and still have an answer to Cloud's bair at different spacings. The best part is that rising bair autocancels, so it's still pretty safe, and Cloud can't as easily run up and utilt. Earlier on, fair is probably going to be your most handy aerial (especially in quick air-to-air situations) while dtilt is going to be your best grounded move. Dtilt helps out so much due to the low profile that lasts the entire duration of the move (it often makes Cloud's fair sourspot), and it can start combos and force panic airdodges/up-Bs. It's also a decent alternative to dsmash for catching rolls while still staying on the same side of the opponent, especially since you can cancel backdash with it. If you're on Battlefield, IDJ is the fastest way to access the top platform. Lastly, footstool helps out a ton against Cloud for a multitude of reasons. Just leaving this here because I used to main ZSS in Ult for a time, so I hope someone will find this helpful in the MU.
rly solid advice. also yeah you have to play this matchup so weird lol like resorting to the default zss gameplan gets you killed. i just hope if mars ever takes another set off spargo that spargo doesnt decide to go from a +1 to a +2 and pick aegis cause that mu is even more messed up for zss lol😭

That being said, losing to the best player in America and the best player in the world in very hype sets isn’t really something to be ashamed of, this bracket was insanely tough and marss was playing really well alongside everyone else
