Hi Karen. I've watched dozens of kettlebell snatch video tutorial in my journey to learn kettlebell exercise routines and I found that yours are the best. Easily understood as the kinematic are being separated into components. I wished that I had found your channel much earlier. Thank you!
Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.
jtoulon1288 Few tips.. 1. Don’t try to flip the bell, it will flip when it is suppose to right before the hike. 2. Don’t death grip the handle, I recommend more of a hook grip. 3. Keep the bell close to the body with a slight elbow bend. Visualize you have a very tall fence in front of you and you are paining it on the way up and the way back down.
We train barefoot, it is better for posture and proprioception. Plus if you dropped it with our without shoes on it would hurt and probably break your foot.
This is the best tutorial of kettlebell snatches I have seen. All the other tutorials are too fast and you don't see the movement. Thank you Karen
The best snatch tutorial! I'm gonna close all the other snatch tabs I opened and focus on these drills.
Honestly this is the best step by step tutorial I’ve seen about snatches. Bravo!
Thank you
So helpful. I'm learning kettlebell skills for the first time and aside from Cleans, Snatches are causing me the most issues. Thank you!

Anything on how to make going back down smoother? I'm finding kind of a snap, rather than a glide.
Are you doing the SFG 1 cert in december here in dallas?
ed lira yes :)
Why when most people demo KBs, they always have no shoes on. I would be afraid to drop the thing on my foot.

Oh my God...You have to learn the rack position at the first..
How heavy is the kettlebell you're using here?
I don’t recall, but probably a 12kg or 16 kg

EstrellaBonita47 so sorry to hear. Are your elbow painful when snatching or in general.
Cant hear.
For a so called professional KB coach this video is too long winded .
