Egg Candling is process using which u can check weather an egg is Fertile or its infertile. There is also a case in which chick dies in the egg which is known as Dead in Shell case. This video is a proper guide to Egg Candling Procedure.

*Candling is shining a bright light through an egg to view its development. This can be easily done with EGG CANDLER ...or with any flash
Chicken egg incubation:
Incubation Time: 21 days
Days 1-18: 99.5 F/ 40%-50% humidity
Days 19-21: 98.5/ 70%-80% humidity
Turn eggs at least 3 times a day on days 1-18 to prevent the embryo from adhering to the inner membrane.

*Keep the egg's fat end tilted slightly up to have better chances of the chick hatching at the correct end

put the egg at rest position and dont move it for 1 minute .........than noticed if the yolk is moving itself its mean its live.....

FaTBoY MoTo you have to flip the eggs until the 3third day before hatching and quail eggs hatch in 17 days chicken eggs in 21 days pheasants 22 to 23 days

If it’s a duck egg it takes 28 days
Flip the eggs until day 3 or every single day. and a normal egg should hatch on day 20-30 if not. it is unfertile

My hens totally has laid almost 14 eggs, now one of the hen has started to hatch, now it is day 3, I candling the eggs today to see if they are fertilized or not, luckily, 10 of them succeeded, I saw blood vessels and embryos moving, but the last 4 eggs were laid by other hens, I mixed them, maybe the development will be relatively late,but I can clearly see a little red thing inside and it's moving, I'm not really sure.Just hope that all eggs are healthy and developing.Can you give me some tips?Thanks

u should place that egg in warm place or incubate in incubator for 4 to 5 days and than candle and noticed if the veins has formed it mean embryo is developing and be hatch.................if it become orange it doest mean its dead ...when embyo start to develop than also egg became orange....

Means its garbage. You cant eat an egg when its heated for 7 days. We have to candle the egg at 7 and 14 days to trow infertile or dead one away. Fertile or infertile egg are both good to eat, no difference. Fertile egg will need 37.7 degree and 50% humidity to start developping a baby chick.

Fertile eggs are alot higher in Follistatin around 65x times the amount found compared to basic infertile eggs. Follistatin is not found in food sources other than fertilized egg yolks. Follistatin is amazing for shredding fat away, and blocking myostatin which removes the brakes to muscle growth blockage.

You need to incubate it for at least 4-5 days before checking
And were they free range eggs
Make sure to turn the eggs 2-3 times a day for 21 days
on the 18th day stop turning the eggs

I found a duck nest at my work almost a week ago but haven't seen the mom. And none of my coworkers have seen her. I checked on the eggs today and the was a spider web and a couple bugs crawling on them so I brought them in and did the light test. I did it on one a few days ago and saw the embryo and a few veins but today I didn't see veins on any of them. Is there still hope?

Oh no, my dad found this egg and we've just kinda kept him under blankets and with a hot water bottle, I may have missed my chance to incubate
This isn’t always the case. I brought some eggs and put them in my incubator. Then on day 10 I candled them and it was almost completely clear, like not even blood vessels, plus the incubator also broke down bad and we had to take off the lid for a long time in order to try fix it. And then on day 21 they hatched. Shows that you should never give up the hope of them hatching just cos you couldn’t see life in the eggs
