When I stared doing this a few months ago I was 6 inches from my toes, my whole life never been able to touch the toes, now 3 months on I’m at least 6 inches past the toes. Reaping the overall benefits of hamstring flexibility. Winning.
Tom, Becky in the US here. I appreciate your follow-along videos. They are really the only ones I can use. I am 79 yo and have lost some flexibility so I am excited to do your flexibility workouts with you, so I can keep moving and get stronger. I would like to see a video on posture improvement. Thanks for your videos.
Your routines have been a regular part of my workouts for years now. You produce some of the best, most approachable, and effective flexibility videos I’ve found.
Tom, it's a thanks and a suggestion. Thanks for the follow-alongs. Been doing your 20 minute stretch routine daily for several weeks and I'm seeing the progress. Very happy about it, also with the fact that you're helping me with building my discipline. I'd like to ask if you ever thought of doing "theory" vids about your follow-alongs, or as an alternative including several details into the videos. E.g. why you have decided to include this exercise ("it works with these muscles (show them on the body) and also how to do them correctly, how we can do them incorrectly, etc. If I know what muscles should "hurt" during an exercise, and they don't, or other muscles hurt, ill understand that I'm not doing it properly. I’ve never stretched seriously up until this point, but I started getting sick of the pain. Thanks Tom, this is really going to help me out
@@madpandarl8090 I’ve not had lower back pain for a long time. Stretching has become a part of my regular routine. After doing this just one time, I could touch the ground with the palms of my hands!! I’m going to keep doing this at least 3 times per week. Hoping to be able to do a full pike stretch in a couple of months. So to anyone considering following this video, give it a shot!

Thanks so much for another follow along! I really appreciate how this one was specifically targeted for a body area (as oppose to the other more general stretching routines - which I also love and do regularly), and that you also took the time at the beginning to warm up the surrounding muscles a little.
Wow this really worked wonders Tom. Ive been training for over 10 years and lately i was feeling that my hamstrings and glutes got so tight that i could barely arch my back propperly while deadlifting. This first stretch was just magic for my glutes. Crazy how tight those have gotten over the years appernetly. Shows how a general search of ''hamstring stretch'' can lead to such a good video. Cheers from The Netherlands.
Tom, I have noticed that when a guy explains an exercise or how to fix something they talk their way through it. Which is good, but something is always lost in the translation. I thank you so much for the follow alongs. It makes all the difference in the world. Many Blessings to you!

I have never been able to touch my toes (with my legs straight), even if I round my back etc. I've done this program just 1 week in a row, it hurts like hell, and I had to make a mini-tower of books to press down, and I can only grab slightly above my ankle (nowhere close to being able to put my hands below my legs). But in just seven days, after the stretch, I actually managed to reach down and touch my toes for the first time! I can't thank you enough, this small achievement means a lot to me, my flexibility has been hampering my form in my squats/DL, and this is one tiny step towards fixing that. Guys, just trust this stretch and do it as often as you are able.

Your follow along is super impressive... I have very tight hamstrings that my normal reach is only down to my mid shins. By doing your follow along hamstring flexibility I am able to touch the floor at the end of the session. This is going to be my go-to hamstring stretches from now on. For those with very tight hamstrings, hamstring flexibility is important if you experience low back pain due to hamstring tightness. Just be careful as you can pull a muscle if you push it too much. Be mindful of resting in back extension as shown in the video. It's very helpful and protective of your back. Kudos Tom!
Fantastic routine, been following for about a month, along with your other follow-alongs, and have noticed such an improvement to my flexibility! Also I was having some problems with my sciatic nerve acting up and causing a lot of pain, but a month of that sciatic nerve floss seems to have worked out the problem entirely :)

Hi Tom! As a martial artist, my lack of hamstring and hip flexibility is a huge problem. The 15 minute beginner flexibility routine has been a huge help, but I'm wondering, when is it appropriate to follow along with that video, as opposed to this one? Should I be alternating that more general video and this more focused video each day, or? Just had to say also - you have by far the best flexibility training videos on youtube. Easily digestible, practical for people of all levels, and the routines have a great flow that makes it easy to complete the whole way through.
When progressing in these kinds of stretches, like the squat>pike. Is it more important to have straight legs at the top of the stretch? Or to have the hands under the feet?
Wow I think this is what I really need. Your 3rd video I am following but this one my first try today. I run and swim and do kickboxing, lifting pretty much daily but was never into flexibility, my hamstrings is so tight that it's crazy. I think this is my new favorite. Thanks!

Tom, this is my first session with you. Well I have to admit, at the end of the practice I was able to do the sitting squat. I m shocked.
Thanks a lot from new subscriber
Feel the most motivated with the follow along. Need one for ankles and wrist stretches
Yes! I love the follow alongs! Keep them coming!
Been stretching for a couple weeks now, and I've seen a LOT of progress! THANK YOU so much for all your videos. Huge fan of yours 🙌🏼
Did this yesterday, I have faith that this will get me to a point where I can touch my toes!
Great for this beginner/returning exerciser - thanks
I managed 13 mins in.... I love it. These follow alongs are great for 'lapsed sporty' folk. 😂. Bless you thanks Tom. X PS...as in I can only do what I can now, but your tuition and methods are so accommodating.
First day doing this,... and I know this is gonna be THE video that is going to help my sciatica pain! Brilliant stretches!
Seen a massive improvement pre and post the emmet Louis inspired stretches. The pushing down and the squat to pike really help. Thanks again Tom great content
follow alongs are the best!
I love your routines so much! I've been doing several of them and you fix me shoulders and now I'm determined to get my hamstrings fixed, you're just the best
Thank you so much for the help. I feel much better, my hamstring was so tight and painful to the extent that bending was so difficult for me
It's only been a week since I followed this routine and I could already put half of my palm under my feet which is a miracle as when I started I could only reach my ankle. Also I still follow your other videos, I use it as my warm up before this one. Thank you!
Dude, I almost died... multiple times... love your follow alongs 👍🏼 keep up the great work 🥳
Hi there, I run a yoga channel which is about the anatomy and physiology of yoga and there are classes up there as well if your interested check it out :)
Fantastic stretch routine! I love the follow-alongs. Thank you, Tom!
The sciatic nerve flossing exercise really works, it's been killing me in the past few weeks and this simple exercise helped me release the tension, thank you!
Thank you! Really appreciate the follow along routines
Thanks!
This was amazing! I found it really fun to follow along and afterwards I ended up with the best forward fold I've ever done! Will definitely be following more of your videos :)
This is so helpful... it's improving strength n flexibility and helping body stabilisation during yoga routines ...
Great sequencing of activities. I was able to increase my range of motion by bypassing my lower back discomfort.
I have also back pain, so can you please give me some details which exercises helps you to reduce back pain?
Thanks
Great stretching routine for the hamstrings! Thanks so much for posting it!
10:30 OMG that exercise worked like magic within seconds for me! Really really love this follow along!
Great ideas in all the videos, my wife and I have been up at 3:30am to enjoy your videos and follow along for a week and a half, it works for us...thank you...
can't understand the "thumbs down". Find these easy exercises real good especially if your hips are real tight! No overdoing. Excellent and tq for sharing ur video.
I’m really excited for this video! Also... content on Easter Sunday. Good effort!
Hey just wanna said your 'follow along' series are amazing and thank you its help me a lot
Hello Tom. Thank you for your videos. They have help me a lot. Becoming more flexible each day that I practice, where is this beautiful back ground?
Tom! Thanks to you, I can touch my toes! I thought it would be impossible, but my flexibility is getting better and better. I do this routine every day. Hugs from Brazil!
My calfs and hamstrings were annoying me for some days. Feels great for now. Will report back on the progress.
This video just saved my life...thank you so grateful!
Hi, when I do the last 2 exercises my
lowerback is feeling tremendous stress. Is this normal, or should I find other exercises to prevent this?
Thank you Tom, your videos are helping me immensely
This is great. You can literally push yourself. Hopefully you can do something like this for splits
Loved this follow along. I've never had a better stretch than this before!
Great video, Happy Easter Tom.
Wow. That really worked! I felt the burn in calfs and hamstrings. Thank you!
