    Never tell my son, but I use stevia sugar substitute (because I am diabetic) in a 1-to-1 measurement in this recipe and he can't tell the difference. The recipe is so good, that my teriyaki addicted adult son cannot tell that I am making a healthy dish for both of us - that he really enjoys. And it IS better than takeout. I have been using this recipe for the past year or so and this is my first comment. Thank you!

    Hey Julie, this looks amazing! How would you substitute Tofu for the chicken? Would you marinate the tofu in the sauce and then fry? Or fry the tofu and then add the sauce?

    • @ChefJulieYoon
      @ChefJulieYoon  8 років тому

      +iamenmotion I would probably fry the tofu on it's own so it gets nice and crispy, and then add it to the sauce. But season your tofu with salt and pepper too!

      Yeah RockingPuccini409 every time I don't freeze it, I end up regretting it because it goes to waste. Let me know when you do get a chance to try it!

    Hello Chef.. I made your Avocado & Shrimp Spring Rolls, so this will be easy peasy. To make it even easier on me, I'm going to broil my chicken thighs, though, and maybe add a few more veg. I'll be back to try yet another one of your dishes! Have a great day 😉

    Hi, what salty soy sauce are u using. At home i have chinese soy sauce is that what u use? Or could u svp sow me a link to what kind of brand u are using. Thank you!

      I usually just use Kikkoman brand regular soy sauce unless I specify in the video or recipe that it's reduced sodium or something else.

    These are great videos! I love your style of teaching... my only wish is that you keep all the ingredients in one frame at the beginning like in Season 1. It was easier for me to screenshot and put on my grocery list :)

      Yeah I totally feel you...but the link to the written (and printable) recipe with all the ingredients and amounts will always be in the description box, or you can look for it on chefjulieyoon.com

    hi if i substitude chicken with salmon would i need to marinate or fry it first?

    • @ChefJulieYoon
      @ChefJulieYoon  8 років тому

      You would just season the salmon with salt and pepper, sear it in a pan, take it out, make the sauce, and then incorporate it into the sauce just like I did with the chicken. No need to marinate first.

    cool recipe! Can i make a slight suggestion? I think its also good to cut the chicken into thin slices, season, fry then add sauce? Or I also tried marinading the chicken... but who has time these days!

      You can do whatever method you want! I just like to mimic what I see in the food courts...haha! :)
