- This week we're finally back in regional Victoria, more specifically, Cobaw State Forest!
We tackle a couple of rocky tracks put the IFS cars to the limits, pop a bead on the Iveco and even get a bit of wheel lifting action while trying to navigate a tight corner with a BIG rut.
It's great to be out on the tracks.
On this trip:
Simon in the Iveco Daily 4X4
Pete in the Nissan Narvara
Grant in the Ford Ranger
Gerry in the LDV T60
Mike in the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series

Mate has a LDV T60 with lift suspension, bigger tyres etc all the fruit. Thing handles really well. Surprisingly capable.
surprised us also...wait for this week's episode!
Top video tiger 🐅
Thank you, was definitely fun making it!
good to see LDV owner having a go, it did well.
we have done a few trips with it now and it's doing great.
Awesome stuff Simon. I have been watching you since the early Bris31 days. Go get it!
Thank you mate - that's around 16 years now!
Cool
was definitely fun making that one mate!
@@4WDTV where did u get the ARB jack from?
@@juststuffwithwolfe4482 well...couple of ways to answer that...on this trip it was stored in the trailer. So we got it from the active pod. But prior to that we got it from ARB head office. Man they Arte expensive but hell they work well and so much safer and faster.
@@4WDTV yeah I need one because my 93 hilux still has it original bottle jack
@@juststuffwithwolfe4482 well they work well.
Great spot Cobaw! I’ve had a few close calls there! Great camp site that one too 👍🏻
We filmed there a few times this year and still plenty more to see and do.
How often do tyres pop
We seem it a lot when people are pushing the boundaries with low tyre pressures. It's not uncommon.
Any reason you headed down Muirs? Would of thought going up would be more fun/challenging.
well there's a bit of a plan to that, not only was it the section we wanted to do but it was the order of how it would unfold and what was the best way to go with the trailer. Plus, we went back and drove the rest of Muirs for an upcoming episode...doing the harder sections (not shown in this episode) but in the opposite way...so that is all uphill!
@@4WDTV ok great. Look forward to seeing it. I drove Stumpy on first day off lockdown and plan to go up Muirs and Alcorns next weekend. Thanks for the reply mate
@@ausoff-road7795 haha...check out the video we just loaded to TikTok and Instagram...some panel damage! Did you see our drive up Alcorns and Stumpy? That was a fun day out.
@@4WDTV the Cobaw one in the 40 with defender 90 was one my favorite eps! Couple beasts!
@@ausoff-road7795 haha, definitely a favourite of ours too!
Geez the old safa fella need to look behind when in reverse. Usually shit is behind you when reversing
haha, it was a race mate. Normally he is our most careful and safe driver, but that was in a race and the tree was part fo the finish gate - a very funny moment.
Hey is there an email address I can contact Simon with a couple of questions about his Iveco? Im in the market and need to hear the pro's and con's
sure mate - simon@4wdtv.com.au
That frame on the trailer was shaking around a bit, would need bracing up more than it is.
Spot on mate, like most of these new products, we get them first and conduct a lot of extreme testing. We have certainly put that poor trailer through far more than it should have to but we did find the weak points and the manufacturer has already updated the design with extra bracing. We head off again this Friday for more filming and testing.
Only got 400k on the road with Blackhawks uca in my opinion less than worthless
400,000 is a lot in automotive talk. What aren't you happy about? Do you mean tyres, bushes or something else?
Look at those ugly seat covers in the VPS pickup.
LOL, they are just mechanics covers a bit too bright for every day use...haha.
