    Holy Molley Rusty, you look so darn young in this video! The store is sure taking a tole on your age, but we all appreciate all you do for all of us Leather Crafters!!!

    If the rough side edge won't work for you, just turn it around and push the edger from the other end. Leather has a built-in nap that cuts one way better than the other.

    The tip about using crayons was brilliant. We use oxblood, greys, and colored waterstains on our belts, not just the standard browns and blacks.

    Can the same process be used on alligator skin?

    • @SpringfieldLeather
      @SpringfieldLeather  7 років тому

      The processes in this video should all work for alligator skin, with the exception of beveling the edges. Thanks for your question!

    Does anyone know what grit you would use to sand down the edges to even out layers? Thank you.

    • @SpringfieldLeather
      @SpringfieldLeather  6 років тому

      Hello Aurora! We recommend using a few different grits. Start with a coarse paper (80-150), use a medium grit in the middle (around 220 or higher), and end with a much finer paper (around 800).
