George, thank you for the many years you have dedicated to making us all more accomplished leather crafters! I appreciate all the advice and tips you have to offer!
Mr. George Hurst is around and kicking. I saw him last weekend (Sat: 8-10-19) He was giving a staining and finishing class at Tandy Global HQ in Ft. Worth.

Will definitely do this! For me, I'll drill tiny holes for each piece of lace, at the handle end, feed my lace through and knot on the back, pull those straight, lay onto glue line and tack each with a push pin at the end of the stick, will hold them straight and taught while drying.
Super video! I will make edge beveler strop plus use this excellent technique to make several for my super fine wood carving minature chisels! Great idea and thanks for sharing!
Take a sharp chisel or razor knife and a straight edge, cut two small v-channels for the round lace so that the lace has something to sit down into on the board. Doesn't have to be very deep, and they can both be the same size channels. Just not too big a channel for the 1mm lace.
Can please tell me someone, what he calls that chalk like thingy? English is not m,y mothertongue and I simply don't understand him on this, no matter what video from him I watch ;)
+Guns N'at He sure is! At 82, he's still making videos. You can find many of the recent projects George has done available at www.leathercraftlibrary.com

Great video and thankfully I believe i still have every edge beveler I've owned since 1967. Sometimes it pays to be a hoarder, hehe.
Thank you so much! I have a feeling things will be a lot easier for me now!!
Thank you so much, this is incredibly helpful!
Thanks so much! This was extremely helpful!!!
Thanks George! Valuable info!
Really helpful video, thanks for posting.
Awesome video!
Neat solution. Thank you.
I have always found, it's easier to do a nice job with sharp tools. thanks for the info.
You can't do a nice job without sharp tools.
so glad I found this. I just got my first beveler not very long ago and couldn't make it work for nothing.
I've bought many pre-dulled edge bevelers. Maybe they thought they'd do me a favor, hehe.
From a newby who's trying hard, thank you...

What size edge beveler is used to cut the the custom beveled lacing for the stropping board?
Great vid! Thank you!
Спасибо.
I didn't get the name of that white stuff you rubbed on the screen. I would be grateful if you could write down all the equipment used
it is jewelers rouge
Do you guys sell the rounded beveler? If so, can you drop me the link?
Sir -Thank you !!!
THANX
what grit sand paper do you sugget, sir?
600 grit wet dry sand paper works well!
+Tandy Leather thanks!
What are the widths of the 2 cords in the video?
So the moral of the story is, if you don't have a rounded edge beveler, it takes all of 10 seconds to sharpen it.
Every few cuts I strop. I almost never sharpen my tools. Sharpen once and strip forever.

+Equilion The product he is using is called Jeweler's Rouge. You can find it at www.tandyleather.com/en/product/jewelers-rouge
Thanks a lot!
Just don’t get glue all over the lace. It can put a coating on it thats not abrasive, no good for sharpening, and hard to get off.
Todos los vídeos deberían traducirse al castellano... español. Así sería mejor.
is this guy still alive?
